you didn't included this from Volume 12: "They seemed to have done things like chopping arms off and then reattaching them to other creatures, or cutting open the subjects' abdomens and exchanging the internal within. They started with blood relatives as a control group, and they branched out to combinations of humans and other lifeforms - not just demihumans, but animals too - and then they healed them with magic to see what changes occurred." I'm abit disappointed.
The "Happy Farms" are not restricted to just humans...demi-humans as well are also raised- Did you make this video before reading volumes 12 & 13? (Demiurge is trying his hand at interbreeding humans and demihumans..)
This is a standard tactic I use in my D&D sessions as the DM. My players really think I am the greatest DM ever...It will be scary if they ever figure it out...
@marshal104 Aye I've used it a number of times also, may as well when my players come up with such great ideas all the time. The creator of Overlord is said to be a big TTRPG fan, so it may indeed be the inspiration.
Demiurge thought process: 1. Aizn do some thing dumb 2. Aizn is Supreme being 3. Supreme being cant do dumb thing 4. Supreme being thought process is so much higher than me, so maybe I cant undeastand 5. must be unthinkable reason behind 6. Supreme being is so awsome
Ainz: we're out of scrolls Demiurge: "kidnaps people, skinning them alive, feeding them their children" Demiurge: New world Problems requires New world solution.
Ainz: hey Demiurge where are our prisoners. Demiurge: at the Happy farm. Ainz: *realizing what he meant* I understand. Ainz thinking: *Jesus* *Christ* *man*
I always loved his and Ain's "that thing" skit 😂😂😂 Ains : "that thing, huh?" Demiurge: "that thing!" Ains: "yes, that thing!" Demiurge: "exactly, that thing" Ains in his mind: what thing 🤔
What if Demiurge is just as confused? Always hearing that question as "You _do_ understand what I mean, or are you not good enought for this task?" Checking his notes over and over, always pushing his vast, yet limited Demon intelect to try and understand the intrincate, multifacetic layers of The Plan. Always trying to see what new evil twist lies within that aberrant, otherworldy mind, enlightened by the Deva's Wisdom and the secret knowledge that makes up the universal matrix Lord Ainz and his race created to place the World Tree in, and always sees himself as falling short. Always afraid that he's failing to see what his master actually meant, and that he is being indulged in his petty evils as one would indulge a child with _just_ one more piece of candy. Even as he strives to bring as much suffering as his twisted mind can think of, there is one victim he keeps striking again and again, even without meaning to: Demiurge.
Ainz: Demiurge, I believe u already know my whole plan Demiurge is confused→Demiurge is thinking→Demiurge is astonished→Demiurge respects Ainz even more Ainz: Now, explain it to everyone briefly Demiurge starts his speech Ainz: (naruhodo, so that was my plan)
Honestly Demiurge sadism and love for warcrimes is nothing compared to what Rimworld players do on a daily basis (ingame) XD its literally a running joke to us when it comes to Cannibalism, Organ Harvsting, and WarCrimes GALOR!
The light novel! There are 13 of them out right now but since the anime tends to fit 3 novels into each season, they skip a lot of the intricate details that the author uses to establish the world and characters. Also Thanks for watching my vid :)
While first seing the anime, i was always thinking "oh thats so cliche, he's obviously going to betray momonga" then demiurge started talking to ainz like a god And i found best boi
@@faker1013 My personal theory is that Demiurge is so smart, he knows momonga is not really who he says he is, but still knows that they can bring a great and powerful world to their feet, so, in that line of thought, he is Grooming momonga to become the overlord he is meant to be.
@@GabrielArchon Or he knows that Momonga was made leader specifically because he was the one all the other Guild Member's trusted to be non-biased, and keep the guild from collapsing from internal conflicts. So it's fine that he doesn't naturally know how to be 'evil' as long as he can stay a figure who the NPC's are happy to be loyal to- anything else, they can take care of, in service to Ainz Ooal Gown and the Supreme Beings. Much like disciples of Religion to their Gods.
@@alchemysaga3745 that seems to be the case. in the first season, he was so mad that ains went to fight shalltear by himself. he would even disobey ains order and will interfere if cocytus hadnt stopped him. he probably would prefer ains to be just locked up in nazarick and just give them orders whatever it may be. seeing as how albedo was terrified by the existence of mausoleum of supreme beings inside the treasury room and desperately clinged to ains when he said he was planning of building statue for himself, demiurge will probably lose it if he knows about this and will try to keep ains whatever means necessary
One aspect of Demiurge's character that I really like is how his pure evil nature is reserved only for people outside of Nazarick. He's actually very kind towards other members of Nazarick. Such as when Cocytus was struggling with his test during the Lizardman Arc and Demiurge helped him out.
I completely agree. It's also very indicative of his creator. He made Demiurge to be his ideal image of an evil demon but one who is also completely loyal to his comrades.
Agreed. I also loved his argument with Albedo when Ainz went off to fight Shalltear. "We have to protect him, even from himself." They sounded like two siblings arguing over what to do with their increasingly senile father. Where Albedo prioritizes freedom, Dems is more concerned with safety and both argue from their idea of loyalty. Great writing.
He also holds victim when testing seabas, and thinks highly of victim, maybe cuz victim has buffering skill smilular to demiurge so it wouldn't be a far stretch that they make a good team just like him cocytus

Demiurge:"One of the guards will informe a noble old man about the treasure, the noble will then hire the best adventurer to find the treasure hiring Momon that will find not a treasure but a artifact with extreme power that he will use to conker the world!" Ainz: I have to confess something. I'm not that great, I'm just an ordinary salary man. Demiurge: What are you saying? That can't be true. Oh I see, indeed you work yourself as hard as a salary man for the benefit of Nazarick. Your modesty knows no bounds.
Yep pretty much, no matter what Ainz says that he's not that smart, Demiurge and Albedo won't believe it and just think that Ainz is just being too humble.
Wolf Fortright Demiurge: What? Oh I see, impressive as ever Ainz-Sama. You want to capture all of its riches for yourself, and don’t want the humans to suffer under fear from your divine leadership. Fear not! I, Demiurge will make sure that your plans come to fruition!

Absolutely love the part where Ainz accidentally forces Jircniv to become a vassal. Ainz panics thinking he just ruined Demiurges plan, then Demiurge becomes elated and at the same time disappointed in himself that his plan was far too slow for Ainz and so Ainz had to preform what Demiurge can only describe as a miracle and subjugate Jircniv years ahead of schedule.
@MUNCH IEZ *Here, the full version scene from the LN* “Ok… Uh, hmm, speaking of which, uh, what’s Demiurge-san doing right now?” “He’s conducting a breeding experiment. Humans can breed with each other, but can’t breed with demi-humans. Is this not a true tragedy? For lovers to be unable to bear the fruit of their union just because they’re from different species! To save such unfortunate souls, Demiurge-sama is working hard. To develop that possibility between humans and demi-humans!” The clown spoke as if he was reciting a speech with both arms wide spread and pointing at the sky. Mare blinked at Pulcinella, who changed so suddenly. “Ah, please excuse me. I’ve gotten too excited over Demiurge-sama’s generosity of trying to bring joy to humans. Please, forgive me.” “Ah, it’s, uh, fine.” “Demiurge-sama said that he would make himself -or rather the demons- the target of the human’s hatred, so they wouldn’t resent each other. Such immense selflessness! This Pulcinella cannot even see because he moved me to tears.” Pulcinella motioned to wipe his tears on top of his mask. Of course, there were no actual tears and he spoke in his regular cheerful tone, which didn’t sound sad at all. “…Why would they hate him?” “I cannot understand why they would hate our kind and generous Demiurge-sama, but he said that himself. Ah, speaking of which, listen to this. Because Demiurge-sama was so generous, he took pity on the starving livestock. So he made them exchange children with each other, roasted them and put them on the table. If he was heartless, wouldn’t he have served them up without exchanging them?” “I-Is that so?” “Of course. He even allowed them to say farewell by bringing over both parents and letting them sit by the table… For there to be someone like Demiurge-sama, who would be considerate enough for the family to say farewell while smiling… There won’t be anyone besides the Supreme Beings. I’m sure of it.” “I guess…” Mare gave a flat response to Pulcinella’s enraptured speech. He didn’t care what happened to anyone who did not belong to Nazarick. After a couple of seconds, Mare erased all thoughts of Demiurge’s livestock. “Plus, when starving, their head might say yes, but their stomach might not. Demiurge-sama thought ahead and after warning them, made sure they ate it all, down to the last bit. He is a truly generous…”
A quick death is, remember there are more slow and horrible ways to get killed in Nazarick. Like the "Fun Fun ball pit", we should also not forget the torture chamber, and Demiurge's Happy Farm, so to be granted a swift and painless death is a miracle granted by Lord Ainz.
demiurge, while extremely evil in alignment, is actually genuinely kind and courteous towards fellow nazarick residents particularly the guardians who's pretty much his family. he's also very protective of ainz. the only exception is sebas, who he didnt hate but simply didnt get along well with due to for some reason, their creators' animosity towards each other somehow got handed down to them; their character setting never put them at odds in the first place.
Iirc the reason for his rivalry with Sebas is because while a lot of the NPCs personalities have their origin in their settings and flavor text, it is strongly implied that their respective creators personality "filled in the blanks" in a way and supplemented what might be missing to form a complete sentient being. As such, certain mannerisms and traits have been noted to carry over from creator to creation.
I'm to innocent for this: I actually found it cute, that Demiurge ran breedingexperiments to enable Albedo to receive a heir from Ainz, but it seems, I was wrong
@@leila-leadernambinga-leade6059 bruh he's made to be pure evil. And it's not like he's become evil because of his past or surroundings he's evil because that's what was his creator programmed for him to do.
Considering that goblins, Lizardmen, ogres, and elves, along with a section of the world being for hybrids, I thought the same thing. Why not use sheep-human hybrids and make scrolls out of their fur?
Ainz already found an ironclad excuse for any and all blunders he could ever do. On the LN, Ainz already stated that he would sometimes “deviate” from their plans and “introduce” mistakes and errors to “test” the Floor Guardians’ flexibility, a decision both Albedo and Demiurge praised to the high heavens with the expected “sasuga” line. Also, Ainz thinks the farm has “bipedal Albion Sheep”. Everyone thinks Ainz got the joke about calling people sheep but Ainz obviously doesn’t know that these sheep are in fact, people.
Except in the latest two volumes of the light novel has goat demi humans from the Albionian region, that are stronger than humans. In my opinion that means human skin is probably weaker than demi human skin.
That's a really dumb spoiler. On the first one u are basically saying stuff from vol 13 of the light novel, from season 5. Btw, Abelion is a name of one of the hills in the demihumans land, sheep is obvious humans, and bipedal means "two legged animal". So the name is pretty self explanatory: a crossbreed human + a demihumans/animals in Abelion Hills. Thus the name "Bipedal Abelion Sheep".
A I Ainz says: "All under my rule will be in peace and prosper" Sounds good right? Demiurge would interpret it this way:"So all not under Ainz rule should be in war and poverty and scream in dispair so they have no choice but to offer themself to be under Ainz rule"
demiurge interprets everyone is already suffering and only Ainz can save them and give them peace (to serve ainz) and prosperity (to serve ainz). in short, speed up the process for world domination to achieve Ainz's dreams and everyone else's aka the perfect utopia.
It's sometimes over looked how on Ains side Demiurge is. He has no desire to lead or conquer outside Ains desires. He nearly lost his shit when Ains went to face Shaltear alone, breaking his ice cold composure and taking it out on Albedo all at the same time. This shows that Ains is precious to Demiurge even though he goes to great lengths to hide is intentions at all times. Demiurge's relationship with Ains is like one would have with their god. I believe that Demiurge doesn't believe that Ains can truly die but rather his physical manifestation would likely disappear from the world forever if he is destroyed. Either way Ains is lost and this very thought is the only thing that could send Demiurge in a panic. Not really something you would see in a traditionally 100% evil character. He would kill for Ains, he would die for Ains. This makes him more honorable, in a traditional japanese sense, than many.
@@lonerimortal8 The way Demi says that Ains is "the last of the supreme beings" like other stories would say the _last unicorn_ or the _last dragon,_ showing us how Demi views Ains as someone worth protecting at all costs to self.
well of course they consider the guild members as gods they created them and every memory inside of them is written by them and their only purpose of excistence is to guard the great tomb of nazarick it is the only thing they have ever known would be strange if they wouldn't worship them.
Jason Carto just because they become self aware doesn't mean they are no longer npc's for crying out aloud they even use the control panel in the first season to check what Shalltears status is and then use the npc resurrection program after the fight in the finale are we even watching the same show
I think you’ve missed a large portion of Demiurge’s character. While he IS an evil bastard, he’s stated to genuinely care deeply for the other denizens of Nazarick.
That's not even a large portion. That's like a lil bit of an sentence. He's an Evil Bastard to everyone, but he aboslutly loves everyone in Nazarick to make it super simple.
@@craftwanderer8802 In the light novel, I think they said that it takes Ainz a day to fully regen his mana. You can cast a spell from a scroll without using mana. Therefore, an ample supply of scrolls will allow you to commit far more resources to various tasks than your normal mana cap would permit.
AHEM yorichi:breaths ainz:.....did someone explode the stereo? demiurge and every guardian:no why yorichi:breaths ainz:OK WHO THE HELL IS DOING THAT WHO OR WHATEVER YOU ARE PLEASE STOP! yorichi:breaths
In the light novels (which I absolutely love) there is a recurring motif of Ainz noticing that he is unable to feel sympathy for humans since becoming an actual undead being, this is much more difficult to express in the anime because it would require frequent narrating in Ainz's not-as-cool-voice. He simply always does what he considers to be in the best interest of Nazarick; it is true that Ainz is not aware of what Demiurge is doing regarding the "happy farm", however he is also not inclined to, and I think that if he were to discover it, he would be inclined to keep it on the down-low instead of shutting it down. In his own words, he wants to create an empire that his friends would be drawn to and pleased by should they ever learn of it. Some character development options exist in the possibility that his objective will change if he is perhaps convinced that his friends are never going to show up, but it is just as likely that that will never happen as that it will, and it is far more likely that he will eventually encounter another player from Yggdrassil, because it is alluded to and made clear that a handful of other beings known to have existed were players from Yggdrassil, those being the Eight Greed kings who once ruled much of the world (who were, if I recall correctly, defeated by the thirteen heroes, who are much more frequently alluded to) and the six gods of the Slane Theocracy, however nothing more is known about the fates of any of them except that within the slane theocracy exist a handful of descendants of them, known as god-kin, and that in somewhere in the distant south there is some sort of floating structure formerly home to the Greed Kings, (and that somewhere in them, according to the thoughts of Evileye/Landfall, is a book that contains information on all spells, that is rumored to update itself whenever a new spell is invented, and this is probably a world-class item leftover from Yggdrassil). There is also considerable indication that Demiurge is a very self-aware being and that the morality of the characters is somewhat flexible (in that they have a clear and developed worldview, but that as things become more clear to them, the way they act may change according to their worldview. Demiurge and all of the evil characters of Nazarick are inclined to think that the will of the supreme beings is absolute and determine their morality, and so it is likely that many characters will adjust their morals in order to accommodate what they might believe is a changing absolute truth. Demiurge also clearly knows that many of his actions in the Holy Kingdom are not obviously conducive to sustaining a reign, if you recall he once states that he shall serve as the foil for Lord Ainz, (a foil being something which demonstrates qualities of a different thing by contrast, for those who did not know), indicating that his goal is not to take over the world and then hand it over to Ainz, but to be defeated by Ainz and cause the world to think of him as its savior. What this means the next incarnation of Demiurge's evilness will be, I do not precisely know, but it does mean that even his evilness is calculated so that it nearly perfectly supports Ainz's goals.
In season 3 episode 12 of the anime before casting his spell Ainz literally admits this: "Thousands of people are about to die, but I can't feel anything." (or something like those words)
Yes but Ainz is also not someone get out of his way to make people suffer. Even with the workers he gave them an out. And during the time of Katze massacre...well it was war. Humans love to use double standarts. Killing 240.000 people in a year or at a second in the end they will die in war what's the difference? I have no problem using bastards like rapists abusers to certain case murderers in happy farm but children elderly?? Emotion supression or not even Ainz would go that far. The worst he'd do is give them a merciful wuick death. So I don't think at the very least Ainz would let Demiurge slaughter children and give them to a neighbor starving family as a feast.
@@berilsevvalbekret772 how and why am I reading this over a year after I posted this? A whole new LN has come out and that presents new information (and at the time I read it there was not yet an easy to find translation, I'll admit). My reply is that there is a difference between 'not going out of one's way to cause harm', which indeed Ainz would not; and sacrificing efficiency for ethical practice. Ainz would do neither. He recognizes that kindness and generosity are traits which serve him well to maintain, but only when it suits him or aligns with his values. It is rarkable that some of the evil -aligned NPCs (notably Demiurge) are likely to incorporate the torture of the weak where it could be done without, and most besides Demiurge would lose efficiency or take unnecessary risks in doing so (looking at you, Shalltear). It seems that in order to improve upon Demiurge's machine or even have it going at the same efficiency without profound evil would be a difficult undertaking for Ainz, that Ainz has not used any effort or resources of his own accord to bring about harm without it being clear that doing so would further hia goals, and because the happy farm does not violate the rule that you stated, (which was correct), your point was invalid about it being out of character. About it being uncomfortable and wrong... Well, it's supposed to be. That's the point. Ainz is dancing along the line of too far, and he recognizes this. How does he deal with and understand it, now that his humanity is broken? What does he have left? Does he care? What is just? What is the best course of action for him? Questions like these are large part of what makes Overlord great and noteworthy.
Demiurge may be the smartest and one of the formidable opponents to face against. But sometimes he can be a one twisted demon. But still he is extremely loyal to ainz to this day.
Not sure about PA tho. Remember he isnt a floor guardian and shaltear is the strongest floor guardian. I think PA might be the strongest after rubedo bcos of his abiities. Imagine him mimicking rubedo or touch me and fighing shaltear..

They will pay. Demiurge: It was Lord Ainz plan. He knew he would be attacked by our enemies and Sebbes would destroy them and the ones that cower and run will spread his name. Ainz: :| ...... yesss? Ahem! YES I DID.
"Reason is the slave of the passions" is a succinct way of describing Demiurge's intellect. He's supremely intelligent but it's clear he still has an emotional attachment to his creators and thus that intelligence and skills in reasoning are only used in favor of explanations that reinforces his preexisting biases. It's basically how any normal human would act no matter how intelligent they might be.
There is a pretty massive difference between Albedo and Demiurges personality, despite both being at -500 Karma. Albedo (and nabe) hate humans but have stated they would never go out of their way to kill them without reason or even hurt them and even said they don't understand why Solution does what she does. Demiurge loves to do it just for the sake of it and revels in it. So its not always necessarily the level of Negative Karma or Good Karma that determines entirely how they feel.
This is a common misconception. They do not just hate humans, and it is not just those 2 but all Nazarick. They hate or rather consider them Inferior, all those who weren't made by their gods, i.e. the supreme beings. It doesn't matter if they are Human, Lizardmen, Goblin, Elves, Quagoa, whatever.
@@xavierlucky397 try to remember the reasoning they gave on hating humans. that applies to all the other species out there. and I am pretty sure they don't differentiate between the humans and the other race even a bit. To them, they are all just weak pathetic creatures. Even, Ainz himself, as of know, doesn't differentiate between humans and other races.
Shahmeer Zaid I never said anything about any other species. I'm sure they don't feel particularly great about anyone not from Nazarick. But we DO know for certain that Nabe and Albedo despise humans. What the reason is, isn't relevant, they hate humans, and probably anything not from Nazarick. You are confusing what others like Entoma, Mare, and Aura feel towards humans which is just basically callous indifference.

When I first read this novel, I feel like this novel was sadistic to the level that my skin crawls. Although most of these event are described in blatant terms: they usually don’t go into details about these actions/event. It makes the novel much more bearable to read and fun in fact. It’s the choice of words that makes this novel interesting. After that I read a novel called “A death mage who don’t want a fourth time” This novel was by far even more gruesome as time goes on. The plot was rather bland, but in a way if you pay attention to detail like in Overlord, you will find that most of his act; or should I say experiment, are by far already lost his sense of humane. Rather a interesting novel if anyone feel like checking out.
When I first saw Demiurge, I remembered the demon merchant Renon from Castlevania Nintendo 64. I hope someone knows what I'm talking about... he even has rounded glasses, a suit and a devil tail!! You used an unreadable scroll to summon him and buy items, but it was actually a contract with the devil to sell your soul if you bought enough items
@@deathbypotato5030 i wouldn't say lucky cause you gotta remember he was already super intelligent like intelligent beyond everything its just that he still has his human conscience hes got that holding him back you know
KafkaIs Chaznable Earl is actually tragic if you know his background. But there’s nothing tragic about demiurge. He’s the embodiment of pure destruction and chaos just because he’s born to be this way. That’s something really cool about demiurge. No girly back story, he just gives no fuck.
That does not justify his actions, though it gives him a cause. Evil is evil. No sympathy. Aku zoku zan. So what if it's tragic? Am I gonna stand by while his Akumas slaughter hundreds, just because of muh sob story? Get that emo BS outta here. No. It was his choice, and he will pay for his actions. But the way he conducts his actions involves a decent amount of intelligence, and I respect him for that.
As far as I know, Demi has the highest loyalty within Nazarick. Not saying the other NPC's aren't loyal enough. Demi's loyalty and devotion to the supreme beings "gone or not" is just simply too high. It's the reason why he is one of the best NPC right there.
Demiurge tactics got nothing on Ainz His original plan to break the empire would've required a couple of months and lots of lives but Ainz did that as a side quest in less than three days
Also. Do Pandora's Actor next, on how strong he is or based on the lore. Well because we never get to see him fight nor any showings through the fights, but he had some great potential to be a strong Doppelganger(possibly stronger than his other Doppleganger kind, Narberal) due to his shapeshifting along to mimic his opponents. Pretty ironic considering he was confident to fight "any opponents". A strong creation of Ainz but it was consider a "shame" because of it's german speaking and constant posing which makes Ainz a bit dislike towards him. But hey, theres no disliking towards Pandora's Actor, it's his own quirkyness.
think about why he was placed as the guardian to the fantasy nuclear weapon vault. Pandoras actor is a swiss army knive nuclear bomb, it is a literal "pandoras box" considering a being representing the 80% full force of 41 max level players
@Richard Casterly either way, if we assume yggdrassil was insane when it came to classes, their would be 30-41, different classes he could draw like 80%ish power from. Could anyone honestly realistically fight against that many classes?
And isn't that difficulty in fighting too many classes what Ainz ultimately uses to defeat Shalltear as well? You don't have to have the best build to beat everyone if you can choose to pick one that will dismantle the current one you are looking.
Demiurge is my favorite character I can't explain it but the way he's so much smarter than me and so evil without Ainz really knowing makes me love him so much
One of the things I can appreciate about ainz is that he actually tries to scheme,he wants to learn and actually become as smart as they think he is,so unlike traditionally where they would have ainz constantly cause misunderstandings, its more like a fake it till you make it scenario
Demiurge is a fairly rare kind of character, one that I hesitate to compare to anything Harry Potter, but who brings to mind Professor Snape in that most of the time you're completely sure he has to be some sort of bad guy working against the MC, but who in reality is completely and absolutely on their side. Watching Demiurge I can't help but get the feeling he's plotting something against Ainz, but the truth of it is that he's completely and totally loyal, and just happens to be monstrously brilliant....probably smarter than Ainz, but that thought never even crosses his mind.
Demiurge could not be named Lucifer, because there already was AOG member called Luci★fer, who designed a big part of the trap system in Nazarick, he is mentioned in the bath episode. Ulbert wasn't nice in real life, the prequel side story says his both parents died in an industrial accident, the company did not pay the insurance, so he had shitty life, poor job, no education, and distrust of authority and other people in general.
Wow, this was a great video. I haven't read the light novels yet, and from the anime it seemed to me that the source for parchment were actual sheep of some sort. This makes other things he does so much more sadistic! For example the bit about him having Tuare come help cook at his farm "chopping food for albelion sheep is no easy task" meaning he wanted to have this girl go chop actual humans and be complicit in their forced cannibalism. That is actually crazy, and imagine how mad Sebas would have been if Ainz allowed that. Demiurge is like the evil kings attendee in any normal show, but since Ainz is already evil he is just proportionally worse.
aboodaa2012 hate to break it to you, but PA won't be getting any major screen time this season, and if there is a season 4, it'll be a very brief conversation with Ainz
@antonio he's back in the human world watching what videos like this to see what they think of him and his creation, he can't go back to Yggdrasil, or the new world, thus he stays here
Demiurge thinks ainz's more intelligent then him that's why when ainz make dumb suggestions so he tries all possible route and tell others that ainz idea is far superior then anything that it also took him lot of time to understand it!
Ainz is a bumbling buffoon whose intelligence is overestimated by everyone, thereby resulting in his stupid decisions turning out to be beneficial to him.

Both yes and no tbh, ainz is far from an idiot in gaming standpoint i mean this guy kept an entire guild afloat in the top 30 by himself after everyone left. When it comes to battle he isnt an idiot e.g. when he soloed a raid boss that is specifically built for pvp. However when it comes to actually thinking about the future plans of nazarick then yes he is sometimes dumb and expects demiurge or albedo to cover it up by "his wisdom is far from reach of me" thing they do
I'm not sure Ainz doesn't know about happy farm and other stuff. After all, he lost connection with his humanity, which he finds about from the start when the village was being slaughtered and he didn't feel a thing. Ainz himself wasn't against making humans his experiment subjects on several occasions. I think most of the "mercy" of Ainz comes from him bein much more cautious and trying not to look too much of a villain in case there are more players in the world. Demiurge, believing in undisputed superiority of Nazarik, is much more indulgent and less careful in his actions.
I still can't believe that according to the lore Nabel and Ainz are as evil as Demiurge. Also, I can't remember any scene where Ainz made dumb decisions. He's a smart guy, not as smart as Demiurge though and he's a bit naive when it comes to his NPCs. Else he was very cautious and the only slip ups he did were from kindness or thinking that his NPCS wouldn't be _that_ messed up.
Shallchair wasn't mindcontrolled? NANI??? Also, can you confirm that it's canon that Ainz is just as evil? I would have surely put him in the category of lesser evil (caring about some; having limits to their depravity)
Also I do think that he's probably above average smart, but not a genius. When I think back at my school class, he would have beaten like 4/5th of them with ease. They were shallow (no passion in stimulating their mind with anything meaningful), desinterested (observations skills are important) and lacked critical thinking. Only two or three were actually made out of the stuff that is needed to study. I was one of them and honestly I nearly failed at my PhD because you need not just to be smart but really tough to withstand 5 years of hell. Taking responsability for a other people and a fortune, speaking in front of others as public figure etc. are also important skills rather independent of intelligence.
AinZ is -500 Extremely Evil, he could kill a entire village and feed the kids alive to the pigs if he felt like it, he wouldn't do it because he's sadistic, but because he is extremely indifferent to anything not related to nazarick.
@@muatring I would consider it -200 at best. If someone can kill cute little puppies but sees no point in doing so, then he won't do it. Being ruthless AND sadistic on the other hand.... and we end up in Demiurge territory...
He's evil indeed, if any of the NPCs ask AinZ if they can go do some ''experiments'' AinZ will agree without giving it a second thought, when Demiurge asked AinZ to capture a huge population of humans to use in his torture ''farms'' ainz agreed without caring. That's how he is, a extremely indifferent guy that has no moral standards, he's -500 extremely evil in his own way, not all evil needs to be the same way, or do you think that just because someone is not sadistic he's not that evil? Albedo, AinZ, Demiurge and a lot of other npcs are all -500 but they have their own ''evillness'' if you get what i mean.
Sasuga ainz-sama! You think that's his only plan? Heh, let me explain to you his true intentions.... What he means by "THE WORLD-U" is that he intends to enslave the world for my happy farm
@@daymi7300 Demiurge will NEVER betray Ains people need to understand that the NPC are programmed to not only obey but also worship the member of the Guild!

The ranking of the Combat Maids, the name of Entoma and the inspiration for the name of Demiurge. Having one of my favorite anime so packed with Greek references and inspirations makes me so happy 😊
It's worth noting that Ainz did play the game less as the others left- and given that he hadn't checked their settings in a long time, Momonga probably doesn't remember that Demiurge was created to be a true villain. Edit: Also, in the anime at least, the NPC's of Nazarick *do* have memories of the time when the PC's of the guild were around. Which means they do have a basis for believing Momonga in particular is the top of the top- he managed to keep a relatively large, rather well known, and high power guild populated by equally strong and contradictory personalities not only functioning but largely friendly.

They started with blood relatives as a control group, and they branched out to combinations of humans and other lifeforms - not just demihumans, but animals too - and then they healed them with magic to see what changes occurred."

@@faker1013 My personal theory is that Demiurge is so smart, he knows momonga is not really who he says he is, but still knows that they can bring a great and powerful world to their feet, so, in that line of thought, he is Grooming momonga to become the overlord he is meant to be.
@@GabrielArchon this is lowkey wholesome
Demiurge is actually a pretty good friend to cocytus tho. They go a drink together, usually with little talk and just chilling
Agreed. I also loved his argument with Albedo when Ainz went off to fight Shalltear. "We have to protect him, even from himself."
They sounded like two siblings arguing over what to do with their increasingly senile father.
Where Albedo prioritizes freedom, Dems is more concerned with safety and both argue from their idea of loyalty.

“Ok… Uh, hmm, speaking of which, uh, what’s Demiurge-san doing right now?”
“He’s conducting a breeding experiment. Humans can breed with each other, but can’t breed with demi-humans. Is this not a true tragedy? For lovers to be unable to bear the fruit of their union just because they’re from different species! To save such unfortunate souls, Demiurge-sama is working hard. To develop that possibility between humans and demi-humans!”
The clown spoke as if he was reciting a speech with both arms wide spread and pointing at the sky. Mare blinked at Pulcinella, who changed so suddenly.
“Ah, please excuse me. I’ve gotten too excited over Demiurge-sama’s generosity of trying to bring joy to humans. Please, forgive me.”
“Ah, it’s, uh, fine.”
“Demiurge-sama said that he would make himself -or rather the demons- the target of the human’s hatred, so they wouldn’t resent each other. Such immense selflessness! This Pulcinella cannot even see because he moved me to tears.”
Pulcinella motioned to wipe his tears on top of his mask. Of course, there were no actual tears and he spoke in his regular cheerful tone, which didn’t sound sad at all.
“…Why would they hate him?”
“I cannot understand why they would hate our kind and generous Demiurge-sama, but he said that himself. Ah, speaking of which, listen to this. Because Demiurge-sama was so generous, he took pity on the starving livestock. So he made them exchange children with each other, roasted them and put them on the table. If he was heartless, wouldn’t he have served them up without exchanging them?”
“I-Is that so?”
“Of course. He even allowed them to say farewell by bringing over both parents and letting them sit by the table… For there to be someone like Demiurge-sama, who would be considerate enough for the family to say farewell while smiling… There won’t be anyone besides the Supreme Beings. I’m sure of it.”
“I guess…”
Mare gave a flat response to Pulcinella’s enraptured speech.
The reason is Sebas' alignment and setting. Sebas' alignment is Neutral Good if I remember right.

Minor Antagonist
Wow u like to write
Hmmm. Nice

So its not always necessarily the level of Negative Karma or Good Karma that determines entirely how they feel.
well, yea but you will never want to go near them cuz the only difference is less suffering.
Shahmeer Zaid
No, you are just dead wrong.
Nabe and Albedo specifically say they despise humans. Which is whom I was speaking about.
Shahmeer Zaid
I never said anything about any other species.

0:39 Yes, truly the penguin is the most evil of creatures.😂
Dylan Carroll I bet he’s the penguins to eat only the flesh and leave the skin
He's gonna rule the nazarick in near future 😂
I agree!!!
After that I read a novel called “A death mage who don’t want a fourth time”
This novel was by far even more gruesome as time goes on. The plot was rather bland, but in a way if you pay attention to detail like in Overlord, you will find that most of his act; or should I say experiment, are by far already lost his sense of humane.
Rather a interesting novel if anyone feel like checking out.
I have read this. But the mc is not evil or brutal like overlord.

Yoooo that game was so fun
Though he does make mistakes, you gotta admit ainz is still pretty fricking intelligent
especially when it comes to pvp.

@@deathbypotato5030 i wouldn't say lucky cause you gotta remember he was already super intelligent like intelligent beyond everything its just that he still has his human conscience hes got that holding him back you know
He's basically a thin Millenium Earl working for Papa Bone's Human Pizza service lol
KafkaIs Chaznable why would I defend earl being evil? Honestly I think he’s a pussy. Also demiurge kind of evil is much cooler than him
You’re in luck, the video I was watching just finished.
Atelier God same here
As far as I know, Demi has the highest loyalty within Nazarick. Not saying the other NPC's aren't loyal enough. Demi's loyalty and devotion to the supreme beings "gone or not" is just simply too high. It's the reason why he is one of the best NPC right there.

Just for you to know, he is far far stronger than Nabe
think about why he was placed as the guardian to the fantasy nuclear weapon vault.
@@CoverofWinter Pandoras actor is essentially a swiss army knife designed to murder anyone who breaks in exactly
I love everything about this character . From the design, lore, ability, intellect, and personality. Well written !!!
Pandora Actor Next!
Pandora's Actor is great, but he should be the last for obvious reason - he can do whatever the fuck he wants.
he needs more screen time
Sadly he won't get too much of it.

I don't know how 'bout ya'll, but Demiurge is best grill.
Ahh yes that's the beauty of it 👹💯
I think you should put a video of pandora actors when he gets more screen time

Ainz: says nothing
Demiurge: WORLD DOMINATION!!!!
