Henson and his crew went to London in late 1975 to start taping the first season of "THE MUPPET SHOW" for Sir Lew Grade's ITC company (and the CBS owned and operated stations in the U.S.). While Cher's solo variety series ended in January 1976, "THE MUPPET SHOW" was in production- and a roaring success in worldwide syndication- for five seasons, through 1981 {120 episodes}.
