Rita Moreno, the wonderful Diva singing ' Fever ' with the comical undertone that kills it, used to be on a show that played after Seasame Street called The Electric Company ( with Morgan Freeman) a psychedelic twin to teaching inner city, and let's face it, all America's kids, with phonics, numbers and amusing skits and animations. So, it was strange to see Rita doing the Muppets considering, but of course her talents proved to be universally loved. Look up Rita and her signature " Heyyyyyyyy you guyyyyyyyyyys" opening to The Electric Company.

I remember looking forward to the newest episode once a week in the late 70s, I was 8 years old in 1980, and this was the highlight of my week. Our whole family would be watching, my parents commenting on how good the guest stars were doing, whilst my sister and I sat too close to our 20 inch luxury color TV. My Dad loved Raquel...I used to sit up and watch midnight horror shows with him, and when Vincent Price guest starred, it was the best episode ever...I even got a Muppets book for my 12th birthday, it had all the best season one drawn with the script. I still have it, 1984 yellow hand drawn Muppet book. Damn, us Gen Xers had it good.

These videos are killing people's ability to appreciate the ACTUAL Looney Tunes. Chuck Jones, Freleng, Clampett, Avery, they'd all tell you - the Context MATTERS. The character, the setup, the buildup to the gag, they're supposed to make these moments funnier, not get in the way. Shaving off the context and reducing it to the craziest moments goes against everything the makers of these toons worked for.
