I can relate to the mental gyrations, the doubts etc. But I buy mostly used, out of 7 bikes 2 were brand new, the 3rd one is likely to be a new Mandello V100, or a used Moster 1200S (maybe a Monster 937 also used), .... But the Mandello V100? Yeah, there's a very strong desire for that one, and a new one!
I had a KZ900 which I sold in the late 70's, never regretted it, I sold my harley in the early eighties to repair the roof on my house, never regretted it, I sold my Eldorado in the late 80's and have regretted it ever since
Keep the guzzi. I have two of them (V7 Classic and V7iii Milano). The Milano is superior to my Classic in every way possible. Power, handling, safety features, etc…but I can’t let go of the classic. There’s something special about it that has its own feeling that the Milano can’t replicate, or any other bike can replicate, to be honest. All Guzzi are this way. The v100 you have has its own feeling and no other bike will fill its place. Yamahondasaki motorcycles are great, but they certainly are sterile and don’t have the same FEEL as a Guzzi. Don’t sell it, you’ll regret it for sure.
You should put 98 octane for this high compression engine 😉 I had a Z900 before my Mandello, and I soooo much prefer the Mandello. Actually, I don’t like the 4 cylinders engine, you need to go too high rpm to get the kick, not very practical in the traffic nowadays. Think twice 😉😀
I do think that the Z900RS has a lot of torque, and also pretty down low. btw. 95 is really good quality here in The Netherlands (I know I worked for a big oil company).
Keep the special bikes. Sell the common/appliance/typical brand bikes. You won't miss the other bikes as much over time but I'm guessing you'd miss the v100 more in the long run.
This! There's a reason all the Japanese bikes are called "UJM's" Universal Japanese Motorcycles. They are just appliances. Reliable, but so's a refrigerator.
Sell it. You don’t deserve it, yet. You can buy it back, when nobody wants it for cheap and then keep it until it appreciates its value again, once people realize how good it actually way. But by the time, will collecting bikes still be a thing? Not so sure. A House is a reason, but it’s just click-bait if you play it as a motorcycle question, as you did, wasting people’s time with your personal stuff until being open that it’s a life question, not a bike theme.
Well, it's personal indeed but its also a Z900RS vs Mandello video. And I want to keep a personal touch on my channel. I do have many non personal video's also on my channel. Thanks for our reply.
Interesting, I have the Z900RS and a Multistrada 1260s. The Z is an amazing bike but I am contemplating selling it after owning it for 5 years as I feel it doesn’t have enough character. Don’t know how to measure character but maybe it is just too smooth. I’ve had the Multi for 1 year now and just love the v twin engine to the point it makes the Z feel boring but the Z is perfect in every other way. I think I am even more confused than you 😂
It's a completely different brand I agree. But for me they have the same use case.

You already sold th z900 3 times. Did you have as much doubt as you are having now? About the process itself you are trading time for money. If you put this one on the market you will get a better payoff, but it will take more time. Z900RS are a dime a dozen on second hand market, maybe even you can get the SE. Also, about the z900rs, you are already thinking of changing mirrors, tailtidy, blinkers, etc. How much money would you spend on that? Finally just to say, these are exactly both my two motorcycles of choice, if I had a fat wallet. Either way, you can't go wrong. they are both perfect.
I have to say, we have a lot of options here in The Netherlands regarding used V100. They don't sell as fast as the Z900RS. I have a lot of accessories on the V100 which I could sell to make some funds for the accessories I ''need'' for the Z900RS
You say u have owned and sold 3 900's, and now u think about buying a 4th? why would this time be different? the guzzi is a much more unique/special bike. To me it doesnt make sense but then again, we humans rarely do so.. :)
Glasses and full-face helmets are a pain.. I noticed you took your specs off and rested them on the bike.. I was cringing remembering the time I left my specs on the seat while paying for the petrol.. came back.. where's my specs? They were the other side of the bike on the ground.. at that second a car pulled in and ran over the specs!! It was the beginning of the holiday which was a bitch
It’s a safety thing, most fuel station attendants will scream at you for sitting on the bike while refueling, if static causes a fire it’ll blow up in your face. You won’t get off the bike quick enough.
Sell it and put all the money in your new house. Trading the Guzzi for the Z900 and arguing to gain cash for the house sounds not convincing and plausible. Sorry for the V100…
Yeah, but it is the hard truth. The thing is with a renovation like this it's not always clear what things will cost during the project. So I need to make some money clear for if it's needed. 5k is hopefully enough. I know, that when I use all the money of the bike and put that in a renovation it will take years for something comparable comes back. That's why I ''need'' something in return (like the Z900RS)
If a guy sells his Z 900 for a different bike - O.K. Things like that happens, the Z is a good bike for sure, but might not be the right concept for this guy. If that man buys a Z 900 again - well , may be he missed the Z, this can happen too. If that story happens a third time - man you should have learned something! Sorry to say that- but if that guy is thinking about doing that a fourth time... professional help is needed. I hope there are good psychiatrists around were you live...

You sold your Eldorado? You know I lust after one of those.. the T3's fine though

Think three times, these bikes are made for 95 octane and they run just fine on it. There' no point to adding 98 if it's not necessary.
Keep the special bikes. Sell the common/appliance/typical brand bikes. You won't miss the other bikes as much over time but I'm guessing you'd miss the v100 more in the long run.

I think they have both different use cases. But I can imagine what you mean.
Guzzi vs Kawasaki, not even in the same wheelhouse ...
It's a completely different brand I agree. But for me they have the same use case.

I don't understand it either, this guy is nuts! 🤷🏻♂
Haha it's insanity I agree.
Easy guys! Luckily we all know that the Z900 will be gone within 3 months (for the 4th time then) and that there will be a new Guzzi within months.
hahahahah

Yeah! its a pain indeed. But I need a full face helmet to make videos! Otherwise I would always ride with a flip up.
Get modular helmet problem solved. Since I get one never had a issues.
What's your helmet?
Smart! Yeah I had one before. but a modular helmet means not very good content for you guys (where to mount the helmet cam for example)
Guzzi > Kawasaki

Yeah dank je wel!
Deze Alkmaarder heeft evt. afhankelijk van je vraagprijs wel interesse...had je al eens een berichtje gestuurd op insta.
I had a 1989 Moto Guzzi Mark V, I regret selling it.
This is my fourth Moto Guzzi. I regretted selling my 1200 sport the most.. that's why I bought one back.
Keep the Guzzi. Obviously.
As a versus I would agree
Your NOT supposed to sit on your bike while refueling
Why not?
It’s a safety thing, most fuel station attendants will scream at you for sitting on the bike while refueling, if static causes a fire it’ll blow up in your face. You won’t get off the bike quick enough.
Dude you need to talk about the bike more. I'm 10 minutes in and still not learning anything about this bike
I would highly recommend my other v100 video’s!
I’ll buy the screen and handguards off you if you are selling it!
