The only thing I don't like about the look is the motor and gearbox should be black. I'm guessing they will do that as an update. I wish somebody would do a review of this bike with the factory hard cases. It's a great touring machine and it would be nice to see one set up that way.

How is the touring seat?

I currently ride a Suzuki GT 1000. And now I've hit my '50s. I just feel like I want to sit back and enjoy the ride and relax and not worry about doing 150 mph everywhere, so I am greatly looking at the royal Enfield super meteor. It just looks comfortable. Fuel efficient. Easy going and looks like I could quite easily still travel a thousand miles on it and be happy. This is one of the better reviews and also it has some really nice cheese!

Don't sell us older riders short. I bought a '22 Enfield Classic 350 new in '22 and absolutely love it. That coming off an '06 CBR1000RR. Have more than 250,000 and 40 years on sport bikes and all of a sudden the smaller cc bikes are just more of a pleasure to ride. The Super Meteor will definately be my next bike. Great to see and hear a 1200 Sport again! Had one for ten years but in total it spent two of those in the dealer's workshop being fixed, so very reluctantly I gave it up as I wanted a modern bike I could rely on. Before that I ran a Breva 1100, and years ago a V50. Since then my R1250RS has been solid, and the BMW dealer's service has been impeccable, but I don't connect with the bike like I did with my Guzzis. Now wondering I need one last Guzzi 'fling' - the V100 Mandello - to reignite my enthusiasm for biking, before I maybe hang up my boots for good. I briefly sat on one at a dealer, and the shape of the seat concerned me as it seemed to cramp my wedding tackle! For me, seat comfort is now a major factor to riding enjoyment. How did you find it compared to the shape of your Sport's seat? (I'm 178cm tall with 81cm inside leg.)

Mandello s owner here. Since you owned the mandello s and tried the stelvio did you noticed any improvement to the gear shifting into first gear and the way it quickshifts from 1st to third gear? I think this is the only negative thing i can say about the mandello s after riding it 6.000 km.

i actually like it very much! i will install it on my Desert X , with rear gas tank included, so to use more as a long distance , sport touring , hybrid with lighter off road . My Nordon 901 is my single track off roading shredder!

Dude you need to talk about the bike more. I'm 10 minutes in and still not learning anything about this bike

Dutch V100 Stelvio PPF owner here. The original wind screen is way to small, and makes the stelvio quite uncomforable for tall rider at me at 100komh+ speeds. Luckaliy he GIVI D8208ST screen makes a massive difference in wind protection. I also added a MRA X touring spoiler screen large to further reduce turbulence. I do recommend de high seat for tall riders. I absolutely love the seating postiion, the engine rumble and howling noises, the looks, on-road handling, (never done off-road) , the wide mirrors, the smooth throtlle response. I do have the PPF, it works, it is not perfect. But if it ever warns me of something I have overlooked, it is worth it IMHO. Super annoying it does not have a button for warning lights... such a weird omission, and I do still miss self canceling blinkers. Really quirky that these features are missing on such a capable and expensive bike. Wou;d I buy again: without doubt. The comfort levels and ergonomics for tall riders (after GIVI+MRA windscreen and higher seat upgrade) is really fantastic. It almost feel llike you are riding a cruiser (position and sound), but in a way way sportier and much more capable bike.

Thank you for a thorough review. I also am a fan of this bike and was lucky enough to purchase a Guardia D'Onore. The bike has so much character and is an excellent conversation starter. I love Moto Guzzi and hope this bike and others they produce ensure they are here to stay.
