Then the usual fast food chains and some other local places that I can't remember the names of now. Somebody commented that most soybeans are used for livestock feed , so everyone that eats farm raised meat eats soybeans second hand . A lot of vegetarians and vegans eat them first hand , and look at the results . I was stationed in Japan for a couple of years in my navy days , edamame and tofu are common fare in East Asia . I consumed them on occasion , but no longer , as unprocessed soy is very high in phytoestrogens , and I ain't no Soy Boi .

So, does the guy that represented Arkansas actually live in the state? It sounds like he hasn't been paying ANY attention to the culinary side of things. Food-wise, Arkansas is the literal birthplace of cheese dip. CHEESE DIP. Soy beans? For the love... Take more than a second to respond. Another taste treat that seems to stem from Arkansas is chocolate gravy and biscuits. Who doesn't like slightly thickened hot chocolate on a fluffy biscuit? Skippy peanut butter... Anyway, lets move to beverages. Ozarka water? IT ISN'T BOTTLED IN ARKANSAS. That is Texas water. How about world famous Mountain Valley Spring Water our of Hot Springs? Crystal Geyer water is bottle in Norman, Arkansas. Both far superior waters and it didn't take me a moment to recall them. There are SO many good places to eat, but I will stick with just one. The best place for steak in the state is, I believe, Taylor's in McGhee. Doe's Eat Place is also fantastic, but I give the edge to the dry-aged steaks at Taylor's. Next time there is a question about things related to Arkansas, can we vet who gets to answer them?

Sad to hear that the guy from Florida didn't say key lime pie as greatest culinary contribution. Also, can they please find someone not from Austin to represent Texas. I moved here like 4 years ago and even I know that whataburger and Dr. Pepper are things most people would say are iconic here.
I’m from Austin, but I take no offense whatsoever. I’m a southern, grew up in a southern family, and I kind of agree. some people from Austin are kinda different than the whole state. Plus a lot of Californians are moving here and it getting kind of annoying.
Also they are VERY iconic
I originally moved to Austin cause that's where my brother is but I left soon after because I didn't vibe with the place. From what I heard while I lived there in 2016 was that austin was awesome and weird and then the california people started moving there and changed the city.

Cracker Barrel. How does A true Tennessean not claim the ultimate southern chain. That’s just sad.
Cracker Barrel out of Lebanon and Jack Daniels out of Lynchburg. Makes more sense than out of state companies or a seafood place like Joe's Crab Shack. Catfish I can understand, but crab?

Love that he called out Fish Camp Restuarant. It is iconic here on the coast. For the drink on the Gulf it's Whiskey Willies bloody Mary. Publix is Florida's most important culinary contribution, by far.
Being from Texas, I heard about the Publix sandwiches. How wonderful they are. So I was working in Atlanta a few years ago and there was a Publix not to far from my hotel. Please do not pick some hipster from Austin to represent Texas next time. She was horrible.
Ok imma take that Texas chicks Texan card. You're from Texas and you don't even mention Dr. Pepper or Whataburger. Shame shame shame.
She needs to get out of the sorority house once in a while.
Florida girl, my heart leapt when he was talking about the smoked mullet 🙌🏻 legit one of the best ways to eat fish!
When the NC guy didn't say Bojangles and the Texas girl didn't say Whataburger... Get Them Out!
You can say Cookout and it would be acceptable but not Golden Corral!
And Tn. didn’t say Krystals or Cracker Barrell.
I could have sworn Topo Chico was Mexican, not Texan…
uts====its from monterrey mexico
She from Austin, obviously not a native Texan
Yeah that with Tito’s vodka is ranch water which was her answer
@@Kdm109 And shouldn't it be "branch water" and not "ranch water"??
Topo Chico is owned by Coca-Cola, so I guess it’s now Georgia’s .
What about McAlister's. That was started in Oxford Mississippi.
mcallister’s is too expensive for a deli 😭
@@annao1694 *looks up Jason's Deli prices* Huh, could've sworn they were about the same as McAlister's
lmao Florida man was the only one to answer correctly. “The food is so good at home why would you go to a chain restaurant?” His mama and his spouse won’t be on him after seeing this. I’ll pray for the rest of y’all. 😂
The North Carolina guy saying Pesi over Cheerwine? Get out of this state,
Seriously....he is a yankee pretending to be southern....Pepsi based in NY is a yankee dream.....Get south of the Mason-Dixon Line and it is all about CHEERWINE & COKE-COLA!!!
Exactly!!!
Pepsi was invented in NC .....
Pepsi may be HQ'd in New York but it's from North Carolina... So ignorant
@@scarletrobin I know pepsi started in new bern, nc or wherever but that doesn't mean it doesn't suck. And everyone knows cheerwine is more known as a carolina beverage than pepsi is.
Okay Arkansas guy, you missed the boat. Catfish and hushpuppies, rice, barbeque, cheese dip, Sonic, sweet tea, etc... The best you could come up with is soybeans and TCBY?
Sonic started in Shawnee, Oklahoma so that one's ours!
Ozarka water is from Texas.
@@donnaclayton8644 exactly. The water from here is Mountain Valley Spring water. I'm not sure where they found this guy🤣
Larry's Pizza would have been great for a chain restaurant, I think. So good!
@@arkiemomma9832 Larry's is good - but I'm a Shotgun Dan's man!
Some of these ppl seem like they just moved to the south last month 😂
I honestly thought WhatABurger was going to be said for Texas, not Torchy's. 😑 Folks I know barely go there...
She was from Austin, so...... Forgive her California corruption.
@@muskox34 Oh I see....👀
I'm from Houston, so hearing Torchy's I was like, "What? Did I hear that right???"
My whole family is Texan (born there myself but didn’t get to stay very long) WTF is a Torchy’s? And no mention of Whattaburger or brisket? Or Big Red?
@@Fiery154 Torchy's is a taco place. I've only been there a few times with friends in the past. But I'm not crazy for it.
You need a new person for Texas...sorry but she missed on all...😕
For Sou' Carolina, i'd go w boiled peanuts, Blenheim's ginger ale and Lizards' Thicket.
I LOVE Lizard's Thicket and Zetos 😋
He didn't do South Carolina right lol
@@THEATERLOVER14 you are right he was an embarrassment to our state ... and I can't believe no one said Callies biscuits
Great choices! They always have great boiled peanuts on hwy 276 near Cleveland, SC?
Blenheim Ginger Ale, Maurice Bessenger's Piggy Park , Shrimp and Grits , Low Country Boil / Frogmore Stew , The Beacon . There's a burger joint in Spartanburg named Ike's Corner Grill that makes awesome burgers and cuts their fries fresh before your eyes .
Arkansas beverage should have been Mountain Valley Spring Water from Hot Springs National Park. The man from Arkansas seemed to know next to nothing about his state. Bless his heart.
Or Grapette soda from Camden, Arkansas!
In Texas the Coke we drink is Dr Pepper. We eat Whataburger. BRISKIT
Can we get a new Tennessean? She don’t even know what’s good about her state.
Agree
Helen's in Brownsfield, TN. Central BBQ in Memphis. Arcade for breakfast. And that's just the Memphis area.
No way, she’s the cutest little thing
I’m glad there are people talking about cheerwine, bojangles, and cookout from NC
As a 5th generation Floridian I demand we get new representation. All of his answers, on every question, in every video, are terrible.
Food: grouper sandwich, cuban sandwich (originally from Tampa not Cuba), Publix subs, gator tails, or softshell crabs
Beverage: orange juice! When you cross the state line and go to the visitor center we give it out for free. Would also accept Gatorade. His terrible answer could have at least been a Cuba Libre.
Chain: Hooters, Outback, or Red Lobster (originally from Lakeland, FL).
Best restaurant: Burns, Shula's, or Crabby Bill's
