At the World of Coke in Atlanta you can taste all the different versions. They change the flavor profile depending on the country so it suits people’s tastes more. It was a lot of fun to ‘travel the world of Coke’ as a kid. There are probably videos of the huge machine they use. It shoots Coke from a few feet away into your cup… or it used to.

You can get Sugar sweetened Coke in the US around Passover time in Jewish heavy markets, b/c many Jews don't use corn products on Passover. So in the South, say the Dunwoody area of Georgia or say North Dallas/Far North Dallas, you can get it for 3 months out of the year. Or go to the North East or Miami area of Florida, etc. Anywhere there is a substantial Jewish community.

Former lab tech from both Pepsi and Coke here. There are differences between bottled product and the syrup sold to restaurants. After that, the difference is in CO2/ water and syrup ratio, how clean they keep their machines and the quality of the water used. There really is a difference.

@@Divine14u Sorry to answer so late....I just received a notification today. Corners can never be cut during production, it is against the law and testing is done for every batch of syrup made and for all ingredients down to which section of the field the tangerines for Mt Dew were grown on and what date/time they were picked. It is called Traceability and is a system developed to know where a problem started if there are any issues with a product and someone tries to sue the manufacturer-believe me, they don't want to give up any money. The water going into the bottled or canned product is filtered through many dif processes and tested continuously. If you are drinking bottled/canned product and it tastes dif, not sure what to say about that. But if you are drinking a fountain Mt Dew-made in a store from syrup, CO2 and water, again, cleanliness of the machine and the local water make all the dif.💚

Without question glass bottle is the best. I definitely feel blessed because my family was lucky enough to get a Coke machine from the 50s or 60s that you only put glass bottles in, one of my great uncles worked at Coke during that time and when they changed machines they told the workers to just get rid of them and my uncle took all of the ones he replaced repaired all of them and then gave me to family members and friends that wanted a Coke machine. There’s truly nothing like a Coke in a glass bottle that’s be chilled right before freezing point.

I wrote an article for my southern newspaper about 50 years ago, featuring taste tests of large vs small bottles of Coca-Cola. I interviewed the local bottling CEO about why they were adamant there was no possible difference in taste between the two.
The best part was when I found out he drank small bottles, "because," he said, "I finish the small ones while they are still cold."
I even heard from their lawyers, but because we didn't include a Registered Trademark symbol after every use of the product name.

I'm surprised that there are people who can't smell anything before it rains. It's caused by a chemical in soil produced by bacteria that gets tossed up into the air during rainfall. It's carried in the air for many miles a lot faster than rain clouds move, so you can smell it before the clouds get there. It is one of those chemicals, like vanilla, that the human nose is very sensitive to. In other words, humans are built to detect incoming rain with their nose. So if you can't smell it, you need to blow your nose or something, I dunno.
A real "superpower" is that some people can smell ozone from lighting strikes over the horizon and tell that it is a storm coming and not just rain. I can do this. Nobody else in my family can that I know of. I think you just have to have a really sensitive sniffer for that, which has its downsides let me tell you.

Thanks to years of sinus troubles due to allergies, it's hard for me to smell an oncoming rainstorm. My brother pointed out something interesting, though: The leaves on deciduous trees invert vein side up when it's going to rain, so I look for that instead.

Long ago coke had a store in vegas that displayed the various botlling plants and had samples of each in bottles for you to try. The admitted the flavor mix was different mostly due to the water used. It may be better water filttration now or the mix has change. Temperature and carbonation. Mc D is always served on ice. Thus there may be more suryp flavor until it melted. The new vending machines now have 100 flavors and you can mix your own coke

@@TheDalisama I live in Central Texas. You can get Mexican Coke at every gas store here. I’m well aware that it’s still made with sugar. Commenting before watching the video. I despise plastic bottled sodas for two reasons. First, the waste plastic leaves behind. Secondly, I swear up and down (and others I know too) there is a stark difference in flavor/taste of plastic bottle sodas versus other containers. For any sodas I do drink, I prefer to consume them from either glass bottle, tin can, or fountain style (in that order). Sodas in plastic bottles turn my taste buds upside down now-a-days.

Even I can tell the difference between a plastic bottle, can, glass bottle, and a cup. Try having 4 of the same containers, different colored straws, don't tell them ones this or that, and test whether they can say they're all the same container. THAT, would be a funny video!
