Il motocarrello Fresia F18 è dotato di trazione integrale e sterzo completamente servoassistito idraulicamente su entrambi gli assi, che lo rendono uno dei mezzi più adeguati per il trasporto di materiali in ambiente di montagna, ovvero su terreni accidentati nevosi o fangosi.
È dotato di un motore Briggs & Stratton Twin II a due cilindri orizzontali di 694 cm³ che fornisce una potenza di 18 CV a 3 600 giri/min. Questo specifico mulo meccanico era stato progettato per l'esercito italiano e non è più in produzione dagli anni 90.

The Fresia F18 "mule" is equipped with all-wheel drive and fully hydraulically servo-assisted steering on both axles, which make it one of the most suitable means for transporting materials in a mountain environment such as on rough snowy or muddy terrain.
It is equipped with a 694 cm³ horizontal two-cylinder Briggs & Stratton Twin II engine that delivers 18 hp at 3 600 rpm. This specific mechanical mule was designed for the Italian army, the production ended in the 1990s.
I have to admit, I had no clue such a minimalistic 4x4 existed. Seeing it in this environment though, it makes complete sense. I'm amazed and impressed, thanks for the video!

Too bad we can't get them in the US! Attorney's and lawsuits would have a field day with this wonderfully simplistic design! No roll bar, no safety belt, safety features "lack there of", and the list goes on! We need to get rid of attorney's in the US! Would love to have one on the ranch!

Looks just like a marine mule, see vietnam pictures, carried ammo, supplies and wounded.
These are similar to the U.S. Military M274. A friend of mine has a couple of them that I had to get running several years ago. Handy little units!😉

Abbiamo una strada forestale che ci consente di arrivare alla baita anche d'inverno senza grossi problemi :)

nope! the turns of the trail are too tight for an ATV! And the whole trail is too narrow for a small tractor.

I think I will stick with the quad bike with trailer hitch - that thing looks too slow to me plus I wouldn't fancy sitting on the edge of that thing and going near heavy terrain - looks an expensive gimmick

Hi, unfortunately Fresia spa ended the production of this specific mechanical mule in the 90s, you can find it used in Italy even thought it is quite rare! the price range varies depending on the condition of the vehicle and if it’s road legal or not. approximately goes from 8k to 15k, as written above that’s speaking about used mule because they are not producing it anymore

I don't think so because it is an Italian machine and was used by the Italian army only... It is not available anymore, Fresia spa stopped producing them in the 90s.

Hi, the mechanic is different! The main difference is that this mule is equipped with all-wheel drive and fully hydraulically servo-assisted steering on both axles while the M274s are all powered by internal combustion gasoline engines. I think they are both great mules !
