Yup, just as loud and as awesome as I remember those things from the end of my early childhood back in the early 80s LOL!! My parents worked for what could basically be considered a ranch and we lived on site. So my parents were basically on call 24/7 which never mattered because it wasn't that often that after hours issues came up, plus we lived right there!! Everyone who worked there, about 10 people give or take a few here or there and my parent's/us 3 kids around always, except during school were like a big family. Part of Mom's job was feeding. She would put a load on the mule and go around to the different corals and all to feed the various animals. When we were out of school, we got to help. We loved it. Riding around on the mule with our feet hanging over, skipping off at a jog when she was almost completely stopped!!! We were there almost 4 years and between the love of everything we were able to participate in and as we loved the people, the site, the animals and the access to so much we wouldn't have seen otherwise, one of those things being the mules those 4 years were some of the best times I ever had in my whole life for dang sure in my childhood!!! Thanks for sharing and showing me a blast from my, unbelievable at times. past!!!!
