Honestly, ive spent my early years in tablighi, and i can tell you if you want to learn, then find a scholar that can teach you the deen, its far more efficient and beneficial. Ive learned far more in 11 months under a scholar learning the Quran than i did being devout in tabligi groups for 7 years, and more than what my father learned for 20 years with these kinds of groups. If you are a scholar, enroll in a school or develop your own school, you will benefit others far more than going from mosque to mosque for a short time span. Being stationed in one area allows for people to support their families while learning the deen while transforming themselves and benefiting society at large. Once your students graduate and get their ijaza, they too can enroll in part time teaching or open their own schools. Its far more transformative, and this is how the Prophet S himself taught the sahabah from my understanding.

Did the sahaba or salaf as saliheen upload on TH-cam? Seeing that qiyas is false, there is nothing to compare it to. As for bringing evidence from the quran and sunnah, that is also a big mistake. So basically: TH-cam is bidah If you are ignorant, repent and as you know now, you shouldnt ever use it again If you know and carry on, you are spreader of bidah and a mubtadi Mubtadis are worse than non muslims as they corrupt the islam where a non muslim doesnt ... in the eyes of a "righteous muslim" anyone who uses youtube is miskeen and are worse than non muslims. then if your isis you add an extra step and cut their head off. thank you for taking part in the process of salafi logic

It is so difficult to keep patience while debating and look how patiently he was answering , one could easily fall into his arms out of love, if I was Tablighi and would have debated with him, in the end , I guess I would have cried for giving such strong and logical reasons. His work in Hadeeth has really transformed many to stay away from all forms of innovations and hold onto the Sunnah of Rasulullah (SAW) while observing the way Salaf practiced it. In Nigeria, we say alhamdulillah for transformation through the great Sheikh and his fellow Scholars (Uthaimeen and Bn Baaz). May Allah reward them with Jannatul Firdaus.

I have wondered about those tablighi family men,who have wife and children to feed,but leave their jobs and go on tabligh saying 'Allah will feed my family', while their family find it hard to find a living. I have witnessed such family in my life time.The wife was burdened to raise money to look after their 10 children.she was even affected mentally.

ahlul sunnah wal jamaah wa alaykum Salam wa rahmatullah akhi I doubt it; if your looking for something free; then my best advice is to self study and learn new vocabulary from Google translate; it may sound odd but if you pick up new vocabulary each day, your brain will get use to it, and find people who speak arabic so you can practice conversation and you will see results; but you have to be consistent and Allah will give you the understanding

I became Muslim in 1983. There was almost no Islam in America at that time. I saw Islam grow exponentially in great part because of the efforts of tabligh jamat. Back in 1983 no one else was doing ANYTHING. The masajid were open mostly for juma and "Sunday school " . It was a pathetic situation. Then around 1985 tablighis started to keep masajid open for 5 times daily salat. I lived through that. I saw it. No one can tell me different.

I was hoping the sheikh would question the exact action in Tabligh as innovation which he didn't but rather talked about number of days i.e how its organized in this clip. 2. Sheikh had a problem with the number of days as system in there organisation . Can we say he wanted it exactly to be organised day by days as sahaba conducted their daawa ? What would that be? Then again who is currently doing exactly as practiced by first 3 generations please point out so we learn. 3. The point of Qiyas weather being 4th is acceptable. The condition has to be more exact than general as Our sheikh May Allah have mercy on him says, hence if we say I am studying in a university of Islamic law which take x number of year to be degree holder can we question this system as not being exact or can we accept qiyas from root reason that we are acquiring knowledge but not as done by the first 3 generations.

We adopt anything and everything that is beneficial to us from worldly point of view. Such as we travel in cars, aeroplanes and huge ships. We send our children to schools and universities. Do we ever think that it is something innovated after our salaf so it should not be permissible. So why do we put hurdles in the way of spreading the word of Allah and introducing the importance of sunnat if it doesnot match exactly to the way of salaf. No one can deny the benefits of this work and it's effects in the whole world. How many lives have changed from the ways of non muslims to the way of Prophet Muhammad (saw). And through this effort of going out of their houses and using their time, health and money for the cause of islam, people have developed fear of Allah in their hearts. People are preparing more and more for their life hereafter. They are more beneficial members of their society too.

Loved the entire debate. Very knowledgeable and no ill intent. However, Tableegh jamaat does not only focus on khurooj but also have a set guidelines to follow after coming back to your home like Taleem(teaching at home and masjid) and dedicating one time in one day of the week for ghust(calling towards Allah). Sheik has a point though that this set days of khurooj might not be necessary. However people have definitely benefitted through this khurooj.

Yes exactly. But the number of days is set by the akabirs. There is nothing wrong if you take out 3 , 10 , 40, 4 , months out just to work for the betterment of your Emaan and for the hereafter . After all it has benefited only . They changed completely, we have many examples.
Following arrogant fake scholars can destroy one's heart. How to identify real scholars? Ask them to recite Quran so that you can listen and taste little bit of Imaan. Concepts such as Allah's mercy,awe and love are not things to be just understood by the mind. It must felt in the heart. People who claim to be scholars and can't give people these feelings by their recitation of Quran are deprived of the Noor of Quran because of their excess worldly desires,ego and arrogance. Hence they are not scholars. Umar Ibn khattab(ra) entered into Islam after listening to Quran. Today people need healing for their hearts,not excess information.

I agree with this statement of shaikh albani: "so qiyas of a thing with another is difficult, firstly. Secondly, if that thing opposes the first generations of muslims, even the world or society." However I'm trying to find a reason why khurooj fisabeelillah that occurs in tabligh "opposes" what the first 3 generations did. That's a very strong word.

Seems like two Real brothers are talking to eachother. A lesson for all those ulemas who kindle fire of hatred and incite muslims to fight with eachother on tiny differences. This is how Ilm depicts itself in people of wisdom and capability. Tablighi Brother should not insist on proving this way of doing dawah as a way of salafs. May ALLAH bless the Shaykh and grant him jannatul firdaus regarding this issue of going out on khurooj in the path of ALLAH I did that and I have to be honest I didn’t learn much I learned about ALLAH and his greatness and power but it didn’t teach me Tauhid with full understanding it didn’t teach me Aqeeda it didn’t teach me Fiqh and I never learned any Hadiths I started learning everything when I started being at the masjid listening to lectures learning from people of knowledge then ALLAH set blessed me to work and run a bookstore at the masjid where I lived I started reading and listened to a lot of people of knowledge learned about the salafs and learned about the four imams and their different methodologies learned about many sects of Islam it taugh me about me the correct understanding and methodology of what is required to be upon the correct path learning from Prophet Muhammad and his generations that followed him what I’m saying is that we should learn before you even think about going out and also why don’t when you go out and give dawah give dawah to the non muslims they’re the people that needs to be guided the most I never here about how going out on khurooj many non Muslims accepted Islam why go out if you can’t get the people to accept Islam do you think ALLAH wants you sitting inside the masjid all day talking about him without doing good deeds and actions that’s pleasing to him what about when ALLAH question you on the day of judgment what you do with your life oh ALLAH I stood inside the masjid and talked about you all day and night while my wife and kids and neighbors who I never gave dawah to are at home who’s giving them dawah if I ALLAH says save your family and yourself from the fire first no but you wanna go out traveling even if it’s in another country trying to save someone else’s family how is people going to learn about Islam this way
I once went to tableghi not for learning Deen but staying in the masjid and praying salah with jamah on time for 40 continues days after reading a hadith that said whoever prays salah with jammah for 40 continues days...... I forgot the rest but tableghi is not always bad

muslims have a deep fear of introducing bidah innovation into the religion. Even if by accident, and even if by good will. Bidah is seen as a huge sin. As innovation is what leads to corruption and corruption leads to death of the true religion. This happens over centuries, and the original innovator may not have intended the final form of the results of his innovation. Small differences lead to small innovations. Small innovations lead to big differences, and bid differences lead to big innovations. This is how sects are created and religion is corrupted over centuries. The sheikh here is saying do not make the activities of the tabligis a part of this religion. It is better to acquire knowledge first and then to go out and give dawah invitation to islam. The tabligis in Philippines might be different from the type the sheikh here is talking about. As in South asia as the man admitted, people of ignorance (students) go out to give dawah too. But the sheikh thinks this is dangerous, as it is better for them to learn in a school first. As students are not qualified to be teachers. And a lot of misguidance can happen accidentally if they are given positions of authority they are not qualified for.

I don't think he in anti Tabligh. Previously I've been following them too and think it is good for soul. The activity where it invites people to go for pray, listen to Bayan and following Ghash to learn how to do Da'wah is very good. However, due to certain obsession which I see happen in my jamaah led me to leave Tabligh. Some too obsessed about the hierarchy where people who go out 40 days is consider better than who go go out 3 days and who goes out 4 months is the best, some I've seen too obsessed about going to Nizamuddin before going to Hajj, and I've seen a lot of weak Hadith and even false one being spread by the follower just because the hadith/story sounds nice. I do not know about your jamaah so I wouldn't judge. In spite of that it wasn't the only way (as I've been indoctrinated that Tabligh is the only path of Islam) and not the best way either. Practicing Islam must go through knowledge rather than just blindly follow other. However, I still do support them as I consider they are part of my brother since they haven't done anything which is contradict to the core of Islam (involving Aqidah).
Sheikh Albani rahimahullah totally misunderstood of the idea of Khurooj. Also, 3 days, 10 days , 40 days of Khurooj he misunderstood about. He was saying, during the Era of Prophet(pbuh) and sahabas there were nothing like 3 days , 40 days of Khurooj. The point behind these Khurooj is management. If determining of days for khuruj is not right then why the universities set a specific timeline for different courses to learn ilm? Have the sahabas (Ra:) ever did it?

Subhanallah, May Allah swt bless the Shaykh. Alhamdulillah, I agree with Shaykh that there could me more than one way to spread islam. Although I am not a follower of tableegh but I do believe that their path is correct. The Shaykh rahimaullah points out that once migration is done people should not return to corrupt land again, but corruption is so wide spread and there is no such place without corruption in the 21st century. So, it's much better to go to another land, teach them, learn from them and return back to our land. Allah says "And let (i.e. there shall indeed be. the Arabic is emphatic) there be a nation of you (who) call to charity, and command beneficence, and forbid maleficence; and those are they (who are) the prosperers." I believe there is no other group that has benefited the muslim nation like tableegh as majority of groups are focus on inviting non-Muslims to islam. As for the proof from Qur'an and sunnah, the 3 gen salafs never used tech like mic, tv, youtube but today these things are accepted by almost every muslim scholars. In a similar fashion just because there are fixed span to be spent in taleegh calling it against teaching of Islam is inappropriate. Nowadays students of Islam has to spend fixed no. of years to memorize the Qur'an which one cannot find from the lives of first three generation of muslim (may Allah swt have mercy on them). I do believe in one thing that tableegh must involve scholars in their groups, and should teach the difference between the nature and soundness of hadith. There are lots room for improvement but calling it against the sunnah is also incorrect. May Allah swt be pleased with me, you and the ummah - Ameen
But shaikh, is this possible for tableeghi jamiat to carry scholar whose foundation is on wrong path? They only make people as herd mentality or worshipper without giving true knowledge of Aqeedah, they only make to do sawaab without clarifying Aqeedah, how this is acceptable in front of Allah(swt)? First they should work on Aqeedah, manhaj, a true creed of salfus saaleheen,then other thing, they only to call to people for worship not to call for knowing the Allah.

I have wondered about those tablighi family men,who have wife and children to feed,but leave their jobs and go on tabligh saying 'Allah will feed my family', while their family find it hard to find a living. I have witnessed such family in my life time.The wife was burdened to raise money to look after their 10 children.she was even affected mentally.

salam alaykum to all that watch firstly the point of the video is to show the muslims how to speak to those that oppose the theory/methodology of the righteous Salaf and how we can change the minds towards such; as Imam Al-Albani debated many who opposed the manhaj of the Salaf; but he did so with good manners and simple approach, also it is not right for a non scholar who does not know the proofs of the Quran and Sunnah to go debate opposers, as this is not what the Salaf used to do; rather people used to come to Albani seeking discussion, so he dealt with them and refuted their doubts with proofs, in sha Allah it benefits!

ahlul sunnah wal jamaah wa alaykum Salam wa rahmatullah akhi I doubt it; if your looking for something free; then my best advice is to self study and learn new vocabulary from Google translate; it may sound odd but if you pick up new vocabulary each day, your brain will get use to it, and find people who speak arabic so you can practice conversation and you will see results; but you have to be consistent and Allah will give you the understanding

I became Muslim in 1983. There was almost no Islam in America at that time. I saw Islam grow exponentially in great part because of the efforts of tabligh jamat. Back in 1983 no one else was doing ANYTHING.
The masajid were open mostly for juma and "Sunday school " . It was a pathetic situation. Then around 1985 tablighis started to keep masajid open for 5 times daily salat. I lived through that. I saw it. No one can tell me different.
Brother it might have benefits but here this conversation is based upon evidence and sunnah I think u missed the last saying by shiekh Albani. If you don’t want to accept then it’s your ignorance of not understanding the sunnah May Allah guide us all .

1. I was hoping the sheikh would question the exact action in Tabligh as innovation which he didn't but rather talked about number of days i.e how its organized in this clip.
2. Sheikh had a problem with the number of days as system in there organisation . Can we say he wanted it exactly to be organised day by days as sahaba conducted their daawa ? What would that be? Then again who is currently doing exactly as practiced by first 3 generations please point out so we learn.
3. The point of Qiyas weather being 4th is acceptable. The condition has to be more exact than general as Our sheikh May Allah have mercy on him says, hence if we say I am studying in a university of Islamic law which take x number of year to be degree holder can we question this system as not being exact or can we accept qiyas from root reason that we are acquiring knowledge but not as done by the first 3 generations.

We adopt anything and everything that is beneficial to us from worldly point of view. Such as we travel in cars, aeroplanes and huge ships. We send our children to schools and universities. Do we ever think that it is something innovated after our salaf so it should not be permissible. So why do we put hurdles in the way of spreading the word of Allah and introducing the importance of sunnat if it doesnot match exactly to the way of salaf. No one can deny the benefits of this work and it's effects in the whole world. How many lives have changed from the ways of non muslims to the way of Prophet Muhammad (saw). And through this effort of going out of their houses and using their time, health and money for the cause of islam, people have developed fear of Allah in their hearts. People are preparing more and more for their life hereafter. They are more beneficial members of their society too.

Loved the entire debate. Very knowledgeable and no ill intent. However, Tableegh jamaat does not only focus on khurooj but also have a set guidelines to follow after coming back to your home like Taleem(teaching at home and masjid) and dedicating one time in one day of the week for ghust(calling towards Allah). Sheik has a point though that this set days of khurooj might not be necessary. However people have definitely benefitted through this khurooj.

There is nothing wrong if you take out 3 , 10 , 40, 4 , months out just to work for the betterment of your Emaan and for the hereafter . After all it has benefited only . They changed completely, we have many examples.

Following arrogant fake scholars can destroy one's heart. How to identify real scholars? Ask them to recite Quran so that you can listen and taste little bit of Imaan. Concepts such as Allah's mercy,awe and love are not things to be just understood by the mind. It must felt in the heart. People who claim to be scholars and can't give people these feelings by their recitation of Quran are deprived of the Noor of Quran because of their excess worldly desires,ego and arrogance. Hence they are not scholars.
Umar Ibn khattab(ra) entered into Islam after listening to Quran.
Today people need healing for their hearts,not excess information.

However I'm trying to find a reason why khurooj fisabeelillah that occurs in tabligh "opposes" what the first 3 generations did. That's a very strong word.

Such a great discussion these two people had. with respect for each other . Seems like two Real brothers are talking to eachother. A lesson for all those ulemas who kindle fire of hatred and incite muslims to fight with eachother on tiny differences. This is how Ilm depicts itself in people of wisdom and capability. Tablighi Brother should not insist on proving this way of doing dawah as a way of salafs. They should present it as ONE OF THE EFFECTIVE WAYS to call people to the righteous path. and on the other hand OPPOSSING PEOPLE should not oppose it as a BIDDAH. Its Just one of the method they adapted to spread the message. like one uses audio bayans, videos through facebook, whatsappp, youtube etce etc. Reaching out in far away areas for dawah and bring people closer to islam is as much similar as using the modern day electronic media. Its just that they are doing in on a ground level. As its started decades ago when there were´nt these means of communication. So its also our requirement to spread the message person to person as well. As still there are soo many people who dont have access to these modern day technology or dont use it for the Deen. So i think we should all be moderate in these matters. Unless its AGAINST SUNNAH. if its not sunnah it doesnt means its HARAM. its not the ENTITY of Deen. May ALLAH bless the Shaykh and grant him jannatul firdaus regarding this issue of going out on khurooj in the path of ALLAH I did that and I have to be honest I didn’t learn much I learned about ALLAH and his greatness and power but it didn’t teach me Tauhid with full understanding it didn’t teach me Aqeeda it didn’t teach me Fiqh and I never learned any Hadiths I started learning everything when I started being at the masjid listening to lectures learning from people of knowledge then ALLAH set blessed me to work and run a bookstore at the masjid where I lived I started reading and listened to a lot of people of knowledge learned about the salafs and learned about the four imams and their different methodologies learned about many sects of Islam it taugh me about me the correct understanding and methodology of what is required to be upon the correct path learning from Prophet Muhammad and his generations that followed him what I’m saying is that we should learn before you even think about going out and also why don’t when you go out and give dawah give dawah to the non muslims they’re the people that needs to be guided the most I never here about how going out on khurooj many non Muslims accepted Islam why go out if you can’t get the people to accept Islam do you think ALLAH wants you sitting inside the masjid all day talking about him without doing good deeds and actions that’s pleasing to him what about when ALLAH question you on the day of judgment what you do with your life oh ALLAH I stood inside the masjid and talked about you all day and night while my wife and kids and neighbors who I never gave dawah to are at home who’s giving them dawah if I ALLAH says save your family and yourself from the fire first no but you wanna go out traveling even if it’s in another country trying to save someone else’s family how is people going to learn about Islam this way

I once went to tableghi not for learning Deen but staying in the masjid and praying salah with jamah on time for 40 continues days after reading a hadith that said whoever prays salah with jammah for 40 continues days...... I forgot the rest but tableghi is not always bad

muslims have a deep fear of introducing bidah innovation into the religion.
Even if by accident, and even if by good will. Bidah is seen as a huge sin.
As innovation is what leads to corruption and corruption leads to death of the true religion.
This happens over centuries, and the original innovator may not have intended the final form of the results of his innovation.
Small differences lead to small innovations. Small innovations lead to big differences, and bid differences lead to big innovations.
This is how sects are created and religion is corrupted over centuries.
The sheikh here is saying do not make the activities of the tabligis a part of this religion.
It is better to acquire knowledge first and then to go out and give dawah invitation to islam.
The tabligis in Philippines might be different from the type the sheikh here is talking about. As in South asia as the man admitted, people of ignorance (students) go out to give dawah too.
But the sheikh thinks this is dangerous, as it is better for them to learn in a school first.
As students are not qualified to be teachers. And a lot of misguidance can happen accidentally if they are given positions of authority they are not qualified for.

Previously I've been following them too and think it is good for soul.
The activity where it invites people to go for pray, listen to Bayan and following Ghash to learn how to do Da'wah is very good.
However, due to certain obsession which I see happen in my jamaah led me to leave Tabligh.
Some too obsessed about the hierarchy where people who go out 40 days is consider better than who go go out 3 days and who goes out 4 months is the best, some I've seen too obsessed about going to Nizamuddin before going to Hajj, and I've seen a lot of weak Hadith and even false one being spread by the follower just because the hadith/story sounds nice.
I do not know about your jamaah so I wouldn't judge.
In spite of that it wasn't the only way (as I've been indoctrinated that Tabligh is the only path of Islam) and not the best way either.
Practicing Islam must go through knowledge rather than just blindly follow other.
However, I still do support them as I consider they are part of my brother since they haven't done anything which is contradict to the core of Islam (involving Aqidah).

Sheikh Albani rahimahullah totally misunderstood of the idea of Khurooj. Also, 3 days, 10 days , 40 days of Khurooj he misunderstood about. He was saying, during the Era of Prophet(pbuh) and sahabas there were nothing like 3 days , 40 days of Khurooj. The point behind these Khurooj is management. If determining of days for khuruj is not right then why the universities set a specific timeline for different courses to learn ilm? Have the sahabas (Ra:) ever did it?

Alhamdulillah, I agree with Shaykh that there could me more than one way to spread islam.
Although I am not a follower of tableegh but I do believe that their path is correct. The Shaykh rahimaullah points out that once migration is done people should not return to corrupt land again, but corruption is so wide spread and there is no such place without corruption in the 21st century. So, it's much better to go to another land, teach them, learn from them and return back to our land. Allah says "And let (i.e. there shall indeed be. the Arabic is emphatic) there be a nation of you (who) call to charity, and command beneficence, and forbid maleficence; and those are they (who are) the prosperers." I believe there is no other group that has benefited the muslim nation like tableegh as majority of groups are focus on inviting non-Muslims to islam.
As for the proof from Qur'an and sunnah, the 3 gen salafs never used tech like mic, tv, youtube but today these things are accepted by almost every muslim scholars. In a similar fashion just because there are fixed span to be spent in taleegh calling it against teaching of Islam is inappropriate. Nowadays students of Islam has to spend fixed no. of years to memorize the Qur'an which one cannot find from the lives of first three generation of muslim (may Allah swt have mercy on them).
I do believe in one thing that tableegh must involve scholars in their groups, and should teach the difference between the nature and soundness of hadith. There are lots room for improvement but calling it against the sunnah is also incorrect.

But shaikh, is this possible for tableeghi jamiat to carry scholar whose foundation is on wrong path? They only make people as herd mentality or worshipper without giving true knowledge of Aqeedah, they only make to do sawaab without clarifying Aqeedah, how this is acceptable in front of Allah(swt)? First they should work on Aqeedah, manhaj, a true creed of salfus saaleheen,then other thing, they only to call to people for worship not to call for knowing the Allah.

Tablighis goes door to door aiming to reach every muslim household and invite people to islam, introduce the basics of Islam to them, further it is the duty of every muslim to seek more knowledge and correct themselves.
What I want to say is one can follow tablighis and be on the right path at the same time by learning more about islam.
