"Ya Allah, bless our dear imam Mohamed Nasiruddin Al Albani, Make his grave very spacious, cool and with light. We ask you to shower much mercy on him and on the day of judgement reward him with Jannathul Firdous without any reckoning.
As for our dear Imam Shaykh Rabee, Ya Allah preserve him and keep him in good health and give us the ability to meet him often. And make us benefit much from his teachings".

How can you even say that when Sheik Rabi agreed with Imam al-Alabani concerning the Ashari? (And presumably maturidi on the same grounds)
The disagreement was whether we should assume the ruling of deviant Sufi groups should apply to Asharis by extension “because many of the Asharis (or so called Asharis) are part of the extreme Sufi groups. Imam al Albani simply corrected sheikh Rabi that we cannot do that as we are talking about Asharis as a whole and many are not extreme Sufis.
You appear to have not even understand the basic premise of what either sheikh is saying.

I agree with Shaykh Rabee in the regard that all the Maturidis/Hanafis which includes Barelwis and Deobandis are Sufis. Nowadays Hanafis and Sufis have become synonymous at least in my country in Pakistan. The thing is that Schools of thought like Hanafis and Sha'fis which were originally Sunnis in creed have associated themselves to Asha'ris and Maturidis and worst of all they have become Sufis. I have spent quite some time with both Deobandis and Bralwis (as I belong to a staunch brailwi family) Deobandis pretend that they are Sunnis and against grave- worshippers brailwis but in their roots to this day they are no better than Brailvis. The Main book of creed of Deobandis المهند على المفند clearly states that we believe that it is good to ask dead for help although our exact method is different from Brailwis, we consider that Grave of Rasool ul Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم is more sacred that the throne of Allah Almighty. They are similar views in that book and this book is the basis of Deoband and a textbook in their Madaris. While Brailwis openly state that Deobandis are not Sufis they are Blasphemous and only we are true Sufi and so called Sunis. Some Deobandis maybe due to Salafi influence or maybe to gain political support of Salafis against Brailwis pretend that we are people Tawheed and Sunnah and blah blah. The truth is they don't even let Salafis pray in their Mosques ( in some places) and mock their way of Praying according to Sunnah

One must also remember that not all Sufis were like Ibn Arabi. There was a time when Tassawuf was grounded in the Quran and Sunnah however as with many thing people made Guloo. It is not fair make it seem as if all sufis throughout history were like Ibn Arabi, who in fact many Sufi and Ashari Shuyokh said was a kafir in his time. Many of the forerunners of Tasawwuf like Junaid Al Bahadadi, Bishir Al Hafi, and Abdul Qadir Jilani were men of the Sunnah but the put extra emphasis on the Heart and the Dikir of Allah etc..

@@CGJUGO80 Yaa Akhi, Shaykh Al Islam ibn Taymiyyah belonged to a Sufi Order. Look at the history of Sufism. It is not how it is today, and even as of today, not all Sufis are pure evil.
Maalik studied among Sufis, Shaafi'i was a Sufi. Ibn Al Qayyam was a Sufi. Abu Hanifah studied Sufism for two years, and claims he would have been lost without it.
The point is, the concept of Sufism is spirituality, which is a key role in Islam. It's not everything, but key.
It is wrong to accuse all Sufis of being pure evil. I am not one, but it is only the Sufis who have deviated amd committed Bid'ah and Shirk.

      Epic Brah
Akhi I agree with your original premise that not all Sufis were corrupt - and even some so called Sufis today are not bad. I grew up with them. It is incumbent upon me through maintaining the ties of kinship to sit with them and to eat with them.
However - please bring your daleel for saying all these great ulema were Sufi or part of a Tareeqa. To the best of my knowledge this is baatil / falsehood. There is no such authentic evidence and this is a lie spread against the giant ulema of Ahlus Sunnah. If I’m wrong then I’m happy to be corrected with proofs.

Assalamo aleykom. I love all of you. In Sahih Muslim [1847, chapter of obligation to stay with the majority (Jamaa) in period of fitna], the Prophet warns us about the predicators that invite people to hell and that we must stick to the majority of the Muslims.
It has been narrated on the authority of Hudhaifa b. al-Yaman who said: People used to ask the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the good times, but I used to ask him about bad times fearing lest they overtake me. I said: Messenger of Allah, we were in the midst of ignorance and evil, and then God brought us this good (time through Islam). Is there any bad time after this good one? He said: Yes. I asked: Will there be a good time again after that bad time? He said: Yes, but therein will be a hidden evil. I asked: What will be the evil hidden therein? He said: (That time will witness the rise of) the people who will adopt ways other than mine and seek guidance other than mine. You will know good points as well as bad points. I asked: Will there be a bad time after this good one? He said: Yes. (A time will come) when there will be people standing and inviting at the gates of Hell. Whoso responds to their call they will throw them into the fire. I said: Messenger of Allah, describe them for us. He said: All right. They will be a people having the same complexion as ours and speaking our language. I said: Messenger of Allah, what do you suggest if I happen to live in that time? He said: You should stick to the main body of the Muslims and their leader. I said: If they have no (such thing as the) main body and have no leader? He said: Separate yourself from all these factions, though you may have to eat the roots of trees until death comes to you and you are in this state.in Bukhari : Volume 9, Book 88, Number 206:
    Narrated Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman:
The people used to ask Allah's Apostle about the good but I used to ask him about the evil lest I should be overtaken by them. So I said, "O Allah's Apostle! We were living in ignorance and in an (extremely) worst atmosphere, then Allah brought to us this good (i.e., Islam); will there be any evil after this good?" He said, "Yes." I said, 'Will there be any good after that evil?" He replied, "Yes, but it will be tainted (not pure.)'' I asked, "What will be its taint?" He replied, "(There will be) some people who will guide others not according to my tradition? You will approve of some of their deeds and disapprove of some others." I asked, "Will there be any evil after that good?" He replied, "Yes, (there will be) some people calling at the gates of the (Hell) Fire, and whoever will respond to their call, will be thrown by them into the (Hell) Fire." I said, "O Allah s Apostle! Will you describe them to us?" He said, "They will be from our own people and will speak our language." I said, "What do you order me to do if such a state should take place in my life?" He said, "Stick to the group of Muslims and their Imam (ruler)." I said, "If there is neither a group of Muslims nor an Imam (ruler)?" He said, "Then turn away from all those sects even if you were to bite (eat) the roots of a tree till death overtakes you while you are in that state."

Sufism is from Islam and the sunnah. Ibn Taymiyya was a Qadiri-Sufi, Imam Dhahabi was Suhrawardi, Ibn Hajar was Shadili, Sultan Salahudin was Qadiri, Fatih Sultan Mehmed was Naqshbandi. How can sufism be against the sunnah? Who is Ahl al-Sunnah if not Sultan Salahudin or Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani? Al-Albani and Al-Madkhali havent reached one 10th of the level of these sufis but dare to attack them and call them deviant.
