    Does that 2012 not have the computer that you have to reset to show the correct percentage of remaining oil life????

      Sorry yes it does and I forgot to put it in the video.Probably because I actually don't change the oil based on mileage because it is just a spare truck for hauling stuff so we put very little mileage on it so I change the oil every 6 months.

    Okay! Just to let you know I am a woman but I have been learning to change oil on all sorts of cars trucks and you had stated that maybe some people may not care to watch these videos that people like you take the time to make for us out here in search of your ability and knowledge to learn from. So I do Thank you for taking the time to make these video tutorials. I appreciate you and your video Thank you very much and your noise filter for camera must have worked because I can hear a couple of areas where I acknowledge it is probably the wind that is in your part of the world. And here in Montana The wind chimes are singing to me today. But sun is shining and Im gonna follow your step by step instructions to get this oil changed. Oh tip if you use the medical gloves your hands wont get as dirty i have a neighbor that has very soft nice looking hands because he uses them faithfully. Women appreciate that. At least I do. Thanks for the video! Have a Great day! Oh and wanted to also ask? You stated that you should have put the truck on ramps for this so Question: If vehicle is on ramps does it alter the drainage volume in anyway opposed to being changed lying flat or on ramps ?

      Thanks alot for your nice comments.And I sure hope my videos help some people learn to do basic maintenance.There is always people who have never done something and want to learn and youtube is a great place to find information.As far as putting a car or truck on ramps it usually doesn't cause any problems but it really depends on the vehicle.Most drain plugs are towards the back of the oil pan.Now if you encounter a vehicle with the drain plug on the front then that could leave alot of old oil in the pan.I have never seen that on any American car but that's not to say there aren't any.Thanks again for watching and leaving a comment.We really do appreciate it.

    Good video, I like to know what size is that cap oil wrench?

    • @LSxMotorsports2021
      @LSxMotorsports2021  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly I don't know the size.I picked it up at Walmart and I just picked up the proper oil filter and took it out of the box and then tried the filter wrenches they had till I got the right size.The only markings on the filter wrench is DEM TOOLS 1008WMC.

    Your oil cap showed 5w30??? Maybe if your in a very cold climate 0w30 is ok in winter months. Also 18 ft/lb. Oil drain plug torque value. Also you didn’t replace plug washer on drain plug bolt.

    • @LSxMotorsports2021
      @LSxMotorsports2021  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      0-30 is better in the winter and has no effect in the summer.The 0 is the winter rating.0 is the thinnest and 5 is thicker and 10 is thicker again when cold.30 is the rating when hot.20 being thinner that 30 and 40 being thicker than 30.And no I didn't replace the washer and never have in the hundreds of oil changes.I do look at it and if it is tore up then I would replace it.

      I had to tap filter cap onto the filter so it would fit tight came right off
