Hi. I have been wanting to get into the other end of the hobby, as I have a tinyhawk, and want to get a plane similar to this or maybe this exact one after the corona virus has passed. I cant really afford to be spending $200 on a transmitter, so do you have any budget options under $100 that are worth the money? I have seen some cheap transmitters that are 6 and 8ch that are around $80. Would you recommend the FlySky FS-I6s which is 10ch. This seems a bit too good be true in my eyes and would like a recommendation from someone who has been in the hobby for years to help me get started.
So I decided to buy a new plane. Spent a little less and went small instead of getting the A-10. Picked up a UMX turbo timber. Also grabbed a new radio. I got them both because of you two. Used your link from your video on the umx turbo timber. With the threat of possibly not being able to access parks or fields I have went micro so I could fly in and around the neighborhood with the option to take it to the park if able. Just trying to keep my options open. Thanks for the vids and all the information your videos provide. If you can’t make it to the field I would love to see your storage methods and maybe your workbench setup for assembling and working on projects! Fly safe!
@7:12 - Avery smoooth landing Abby! Thank you both for your videos. Being closed up in the house now, I look forward to your videos even more. I hope you guys can post a video each and every day. It’s so nice to hear something that isn’t news. Be well!
In my humble opinion, the best plane out there. No bad tendencies at all. Can do almost anything with it, its fast and slow. I have many planes in my hanger, and this one goes with me every time I fly. Everyone should own this plane, it's that good! Oh yeah, great job Abby, your definitely getting better.
I love you guys!!! I've been into RC since the mid nineties..... last handful of years have been very difficult. I have not had the funds to enjoy my RC hobbies the way I use to at all, but watching your guy's videos and seeing your Passion for the hobby is keeping my love and passion for this wonderful hobby alive! God bless your family!🥰
Nice plane. Great flying both of you ! I'm not able to be home . My company makes parts for the medical field so I'm working. My wife works at a senior medical care facility, and working . So it's hard for us not to stress about the situation. We just take all the precautions . Stay safe Nate and Abby and keep your precious Amelia safe !!! Bless you both for trying to keep us entertained! 👍👍🙏🙏⚓⚓😀
The Valiant is my favorite plane to fly. I paid $170 for it about 2 years and now it's $230. That's a huge jump in price. I've wrecked and fixed it several times and it still flies great.
I’ve just recently started following this channel, and I’ve got to tell you, I love watching you guys! Thanks for showing us such a good range of planes. I’m looking for something to get back into flying after a looooooong time away from the hobby, and your videos are helping me choose a plane. Cheers, guys. Stay safe and keep healthy.
It's always fun to tune into your channel and see what the both of you are doing. Abby has improved her flying so much! Thanks for sharing your side of the hobby with all of us. Not sure if you guys are hobby king fans but they had the Cessna ttx on sale for $69. Its a pnp but has flaps and lights. You always try and share the deals so I'd thought I would do the same.
Everett!! Thanks for the heads up :-) HK has LOST all of our respect in the last couple of months. They literally STOLE our content, and lied to all their viewers saying they paid us! They never even asked to use our videos.. horrible company!!
@@TheRcSaylors I'm sorry and had no idea! Geez! You guys don't Deserve that! I know things always have a way of working out though. I hope it leads several people to your awesome channel. You are both so positive I'm sure you see the positive in it. Never lose the Faith. He is bigger than us and people are mostly good!
Indeed the valiant is a great bird. I’ve owned three over my career, including it being my first. I’d highly recommend checking out the larger timber aircraft like the timber x and timber turbo! Very fun as well.
I have to say you won the landing NATE , it was just smoother ...Sorry Abby....You both did a great job ....love your words of encouragement , you guys are awesome ....
Hey folks! Just watched this one, so I'm answering your questions. I'm telecommuting, wearing a mask when I go out, and self-isolating. My company decided to have us telecommute where possible a week before it was mandated. I'm lucky to be in a job that can't be cancelled, as per the government, so I'm going to be working from home for as long as it takes. Not a problem for me, I did it for 4 1/2 years at my last project. Living on an acre and a half in Berea Ky, so I can fly (if I use my neighbors yard too, I have a creek with too many trees going through my yard!). I enjoy your focus on the more affordable end of the spectrum (spektrum?) for those of us who aren't wealthy.
Hi Abby & Nate, I've been a long time lurker just sitting back and soaking up the wonderful frank & honest content. I'm on lockdown in the UK and handling it well thanks to the wealth of TH-cam vids that creators like yourselves spend the time to create. Thank you so much. The moment that triggered me to respond was when you flashed the backing track on screen. I must say you have a nack for finding the right music :) Please do flash up the backing tracks more often; it gets a thumbs up from me! Give Popeye a fuss and Amelia a hug from me. Stay safe, stay well and stay socially distanced. All the best, Jon.
Great flying Abby!! You guy's keep the content coming my wife and I watch all of your videos. This airplane seems to be a great flyer I think it might be the next one in my fleet..
Both landings were grate. Keep flying for your viewers, and I that can’t get out and enjoy our sports & hobbies at this time do to the world wide problem we are all experiencing together.
With all the technical advancements today's hobby, RC flying is totally great. About 35 years ago, I crashed my last plane (totally my fault) and walked away from the hobby for good. Now at 72 yrs of age I'm thinking about give it another try thanks mostly to you guys. Just wanted you to know.
I love you guys way over there in the USA so far away from New Zealand but so close in your videos. I have a mini apprentice s and have learnt so much from you two thank you so much.
Those landings were pretty much of a muchness they both landed excellently . Can allways use the little micro drones and heliys for inside there grate for obstacle course inside just a thought to prevent cabin fever lol grate vid guys again keep safe cheers!
Enjoyed the relaxed flights, and WOW to both landings! 😁👍 As for the old guys... Just remember this ain’t their first rodeo. They’ve seen the _Panic Parade (TM)_ circle the block plenty of times before, and know the difference between it and real danger. Those folks are remarkably savvy when it comes to avoiding actual trouble. 🙂
So, between the sport cub s, the aero scout, and the eflight valiant, which one would you say is best for a novice to practice on. Which is the most forgiving of mistakes, which one is most durable, which one is going to be cheapest to replace parts?
I agree, I think this is a fantastic plane for all levels of experience. It's a e-flite hall of fame in my opinion and should always be available to buy. Even if eflite yanks it off the shelf they should come out with another valiant with lights and maybe a x version like the Timber.
Love your videos and watch you every day, thanks for putting content out in these strange times. In future I am looking to buy a beginner friendly plane would you say the valiant over apprentice, carbon cub s etc. Many thanks. Keep safe
Fantastic airplane Mrs Boozer loves hers it was her first planes. The valiant can fly slow or fast and with safe it’s easy for a beginner. Had fun flying with you guys 😉
Been busy working on a tree, but I'm going have to see about taking my Sport Cub out sometime when the wind is down. Just had to put the original hook on my Warn winch, lost it when I had my Deadbolt out and about.
Thanks for the great video. I'm in Canada and we still have snow and winter. If I can fly, it won't be until the end of the month at the earliest. I bought a Valiant about a month ago and am excited to fly it. Both landings were great, always enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work.
I really feel for you man! I just stored my snow blower for the season. I just pulled out the 6 lawn mowers I have to fix and get them ready for sale. I just hope this virus deal doesnt wreck my plans. That is how I afford buying my RC Stuff.
The Valiant is my favorite go to plane. So predictable in flight. I swapped out the wheel pants for timber wheels. Makes it a great "tundra" plane and use the floats for snow flying. I run a 3200 mah and get incredible flight times. Very therapeutic. LOL
That was a great Video!!! Well done to both of you on the camera. As far as the landings: My wife and I have to give it to Abby for a win !!!! It was a close call. Stay safe everyone !! And "Wash those Hands"
Abby's landing was a sweet scale landing with a nice rollout. Nate's was a GREASY Bush landing. That Trent Palmer would be jelous of. Be safe SAYLORS 😉. And thank you 😊
Another great video guys. Here in the UK we’re pretty much on full lockdown now. So glad you have a huge video play list to keep me busy. When this craziness is over I’m gonna pull the trigger and buy my first plane. Been looking at the carbon cub s+, the apprentice and this one. I love the look of this one. Would this be a good first plane? Keep up the good work and please stay safe. Regards. Mark. ❤️
@TheRCSaylors, 2:36 you say you're practicing your figure 8's. I know this is a lot to ask, (and this video is 4 months old), but I would love to somehow see a split screen of your remote and what you're doing with it and how it affects the plane movement. Maybe you do this in future videos.
This truly is an amazing beginner plane! This is the first plane I had been around. With a little help from a great instructor I was able to take off, fly and land in no time. I didn't destroy it. 🤣👍 I can't wait to get my own.
Hi Abby and Nate, I would say the landings were a tie. Abby, you are getting much better. Our club, the Valley Forge Signal Seekers, has our flying field in Valley Forge National Historic Park. The park closed last week and our use permit was temporarily suspended. With schools and other parks closed, there is no place to fly. :-(
Awesome video and great you have a plane that you both can fly. I have just got this plane but yet to fly it yet. But got it after seeing all your great videos on it. Anyone that has it seems to love it. So looking forward to trying it...
love the valient but I learned just fine on the old 1s umx corsair then progressed to the 2s umx aero commander...lots cheaper and lots less damage in a crash. Commander climbs like a rocket! Both do aerobatics.
AWESOME JOBS, ABBY AND NATE!! That's STILL my FAVORITE plane since maiden!! BOTH landings were EXCELLENT, each with individual FLAIR!! BTW: this is also hard to watch on a 2" screen !! 💟👍😘
You and Abe are awesome I really appreciate your Airplane information is very helpful fly the Valiant look's like a perfect Trainer plane I like the Blue and White color scheme I wish I purchased one I have the Apprentice SS so that's what I'm using keep up the Good work I enjoy all you do your Filming is perfect keep it up.
New to your channel..love your videos... they have answered a lot of questions of mine was drones and airplanes have been wanting to buy so I thank you for that.
See 👀 Abby you did great, Nate you were ok too. 😁😁. Was that the correct to or too, definitely not two. Never could figure if I used the correct one. Great plane, & flying. Maybe you could put short streamers on each wing. That would give you a visual, and air show look especially when You do all your stunt flying Nate. Definitely enjoyed the sound of silence ish ness. ⚓⚓⚓👍👍🌈❣🌈💚🌈🙂👍👍⚓⚓⚓⚓.
Nice flights, I like to recommend a couple different planes , The turbo timber and a freewing 64mm F 86 sabre. The sabre are very reasonable price under 120 bucks. And they fly great. Stay safe and healthy, And happy RCing
Well Done Abby and Nate, that looks super cool to fly. It's crazy here in the UK where I live. I don't even get to see my neighbors lol..it's just strange you know. But I have your videos to watch. Ps I thought Nate was going to say no I will show you how to fly it properly to lol 😂 but he didn't. Good Job 👍😉 Stay Safe 💯🙏
These are some very difficult, weird, and trying times Mark! Our entire world has changed seemingly overnight! We can only hope that all of our combined efforts are saving lives. Thanks for tuning in, please stay safe! 👍⚓😎
Great video and plane! Now about those landings????? They were both great landings buuuuuut, I've gotta go with the young lady. Abby got my vote. This time! lol Be safe and God bless!
100% YES! Really disappointed in the new Tundra. Loved the original though 👍 Always happy to talk about why etc. But I'd rather own two or three of this plane before even considering also buying the new Tundra. Hope this helps a little!
Hey guys I'm a heli flyer, but I'm looking to crossover to fixed wing. I am impressed with the easy that Abby has flown and I may just get yelled at by my wife and buy one😝🤣😂🤣 thanks for the awesome video. You did great Abby keep it up!
Still the most quality per $ in the RC fixed wing world. I'm still not sure why I don't have one. I watch friends of mine flying theirs and they rock. Abby, nice flying. Don't be afraid of more throttle. That nose-up-slow is the most risky thing you do, actually. You have all the muscle memory at this point, so give it a bit more gas!
You should try and make this plane your next purchase Rick! You won't be sorry ;-) Good advice as well regarding the nose up, slow flying. Abby sure has come a long way with planes this year!! Favor: If you do end up buying this plane at some point, please consider using our link to do so. We make a buck or so and it doesn't cost you a penny more than not using our link. THANK YOU!!! -Nate
New Zealand has been in lockdown for over a week now..its not alot of fun thats for sure, but you two ts not to as you have each other..When you single big difference..And also lots of expensive toy to play with...I have basic stuff I can fly around the house and outside..but its the interaction between people that is the hardest, and my poor little dog does not understand why we dont go out much and see people....
Ian! Our good friend in New Zealand ❤ Yes we are quite lucky to have one another through these trying times. Please do not forget though, that even though you are far away from us, we care about you and hope you are staying as safe as possible. If you get really bored, maybe try taking this time to learn something, or try cooking something new that you never have before. Storage charge all of tour LiPos 😎 Stay positive! Abby and I are now three full weeks into social distancing (by choice mostly) and it is rather annoying but it can be done. We are in this together 👍⚓

Nice flight. Against that grey sky the carbon cub being yellow would video better if you still have it. ⚓️
I( really enjoy the support and encouragement you both give each other.
This truly is an amazing beginner plane! This is the first plane I had been around. With a little help from a great instructor I was able to take off, fly and land in no time. I didn't destroy it. 🤣👍
I can't wait to get my own.
great video btw even without a xiro explorer. always showing us how to have fun. well done
Nice flights. Be safe in these trying times.
Thank you so much Captain Mavic!! It's good to hear from you :-)
Hi Abby and Nate,
I would say the landings were a tie. Abby, you are getting much better. Our club, the Valley Forge Signal Seekers, has our flying field in Valley Forge National Historic Park. The park closed last week and our use permit was temporarily suspended. With schools and other parks closed, there is no place to fly. :-(
Great landings. From both of you....
Y’all should do the double go pro thing with this and the crop duster and my favorite rc plane is the sport cub s
Love love the Valiant !!!
Nice landing to both,I enjoy your videos you make flying look fun.I miss it a lot can no longer due to vision but still enjoy watching
You and Abe are awesome I really appreciate your Airplane information is very helpful fly the Valiant look's like a perfect Trainer
plane I like the Blue and White color scheme I wish I purchased one I have the Apprentice SS so that's what I'm using keep up the
Good work I enjoy all you do your Filming is perfect keep it up.
Landings Both equal (good). Nate's looked more STOL type and Abby's more full runway but both perfect.
Good job abby on the figure eights...
They both were perfect landings
This is absolutely a great plane! I can't buy all the good one's but I'd like to get this one eventually! I'm gonna have to call a tie on landings.
Those Landings were too close to call both very nice and smooth. I just bought the E-flite air tractor and I'm dying to maiden her.
Nice flights, I like to recommend a couple different planes , The turbo timber and a freewing 64mm F 86 sabre. The sabre are very reasonable price under 120 bucks. And they fly great. Stay safe and healthy, And happy RCing
Great video keep up the great work
both great landings! keep up the content
Hey nice video Have you all had any trouble with your motor mount braiding loose
Cool plane
It is sweet!
I’ll probably get it in the future When I get enough money to buy it
Nice plane ' reminds me of the carbon cub s+ which is a great plane to learn with also.
Yes very simular to the Carbon Cub S+..I have that plane and its a great little flyer
Nate nailed it. Sorry Abby. You did great but I have to say Nate’s was spot on.
Hi 👋 would you recommend this plane over the durafly tundra v2? Thanks 😊
100% YES! Really disappointed in the new Tundra. Loved the original though 👍 Always happy to talk about why etc. But I'd rather own two or three of this plane before even considering also buying the new Tundra. Hope this helps a little!
Nice video Nate and Abbie. Stay safe ❤️👍✈️😊
Oh, and that landing was amazing, Abby. I'm actually jealous of that one.
-Nate
Nate, I think you won the landing, but adjusting for confidence level, my money is still on Abby!
Both were really nice, maybe Nate's was a tad bit sweeter. Abby's was beautiful too!!
Hey buddy question for you will a DX6i bind with this plane and still have AS3X and safe mode? Thanks Steve.
Lovely rc plane
Man I need to get a RC UAV license after this Corona thing blows over, it seems like every plane you guys review get better!
I really need to get involved
