      Since you asked, something that I like to do (and think looks really good) is use the Bulky Beige color option (found in the cloth section) on the 'inside' of pieces like the rugged fur cloak. It gives it an organic, tanned hide look. I would add a link to show you an example of what I mean, but youtube pulled my comment the past two times I tried.
      It also looks really good on the bardic coat for the inside color.

      Using the Closed Cupid wing is a much easier to make the wolf-fur cloak look smooth than a tail, and making the High on skin colours to red, makes them look cold, which works for people freezing in snow

      @@whythough8821 Huh, you're right, I didn't consider using wings to cover up the shoulder-issue, well played
      As for the skin-colour changing stuff, I technically went over it in my Face Guide, though not for the purpose of the 'cold skin' look. I'll include it in the future, thanks!

    Really helpful tips! Never thought of using a seperate hand for magical effects on weapons.

    You mentioned the use of horns for improved hair, though I'm not sure how good you are with it, but if you could put what you know in the next tips video, that would be a huge help.

    Love your work and videos Derf. I’d like to see more customs tip ideas for characters with less clothes. I like making a specific character where his muscles are showing with less chest gear. But always want to add more gear to his shoulder strap.

    • @Derfholm
      @Derfholm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean something like a 'how to barbarian in HF' guide?

    • @zacateck
      @zacateck 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry did you have a video explaining this that I missed? Most characters adding tails and arms to hold extra stuff or to show things attached to the clothes is easy when you have lots of clothes on, but I like having shirtless big guys with extra gear on their belts but it’s too hard to hide the extra arms and tails.

    • @Derfholm
      @Derfholm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zacateckNa I haven't. I've briefly mentioned how to do clothes on barbarians but it doesn't have its own dedicated video. As for tails and extra arms etc, it is indeed more difficult if a character isn't wearing much clothing, but still do-able. I could try go over it in a future video

    Could you use the tail trick to make robot arms look better? I saw your Sevika video, would using the tail be better for that shoulder bit?

    • @Derfholm
      @Derfholm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Potentially, yes. It depends on what item you find to hold with the tail - sky's the limit

    Just a general question, how do I put just an animal on a base ? For a familiar or monster ?

    • @Derfholm
      @Derfholm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hm, well. If you have Pro you could import an invisible model and have only the familiar visible. You can also put on a mount, like a horse or a wolf, and then tick the option that hides the character and shows only mount, thereby you have just a wolf or something

    Is it easier to use the sliders or the other option? (Can’t remember what its called) I use mobile so I find the sliders less difficult for me.

      By the other option, do you mean enabling the free-style little red turning thingy?
