Just put on tonight myself. The only thing I either did wrong was the inside lower clip u put behind the splash shield directions show through the sheild. Either way it’s in there. I do. However not like the inside setup and hope it lasts like my other rally armors
Thanks and its super easy to take off. Just pull the truck trim off the inside of the trunk which exposes two bolts. Unscrew those and then you can just pull it off. Theres pop clips holding it on as well but you just pull the thing and they pop out. Then paint it and reinstall. Ill make a quick video and post it later cause I’ve had a few people ask.
I 100% agree I’ve always said the same thing myself about all the mudflap companies. It is an easy fix with a trip to the hardware store but I’m with you they should come that way!
Damn thats brutal. I got lucky to just walk in and buy the first one my local dealer had. Honestly was never going to get the new wrx. From pictures i thought it was hideous. Went in to buy an outback but loved the wrx in person so here we are haha
@@Rick4345 hang in there bro. I was in the same boat. I placed an order for my 22 wrx in WRB the first week of march. It was delayed a total of 6 times. Finally arrived 14 days ago. It’s worth the wait 👌🏽👌🏽
I havent really looked at the factory ones to know anything to compare them. I believe with factory you have to drill holes though these you do not. But i could be wrong.
He is right, you do have to drill holes for OEM ones it seems. I just ordered mine and came here to compare against Rallyarmors. To me, im quite disappointed I have to drill. HOWEVER, I know that if I do it right, it wont decrease value or anything cause its literally a Subaru product following their instructions. See below. @@redwoodchronicles Yes, in Australia its the WRX Wagon and in Japan its the Levorg. I reached out to Rally Armor and they weren't interested in helping, I contacted Rokbloks as well but haven't heard anything yet. There is no OEM mudguards either
Dont know why you would buy the universal ones when they make a kit. Seems like more work than money it would save. Youll have to fabricate your own bracket and what not
The screws for the front mud flaps. They dont want to stay in the plastic clips in the middle. The ones with metal plates the worst. I understand metal screws into plastic but i was very gentle and it still didn't work. I'm looking into putting bolts with nuts on the inside. Otherwise idk hire to fix it
Did you strip them out by chance? Or maybe you got a defective batch. Either way I’m sure if you were to message rally armor and explain your issue they’ll help you out with some new hardware. They’re customer service is super solid.
Thanks for making this video! The dealership wanted to charge me $175 to install them. I’ll just do it myself. Looks easy.
Glad it was able to save you some money!!
Cool man. Didn't have to take the wheels off for this one 👍
Nope you can normally avoid it if you try hard enough. I think on my 16 I had to use a ratcheting wrench and a screw bit haha

Very nice install video!
Thank you!!
nice vid, looks easy. How did you black out your rear spoiler?

These look good but wish the hardware was black instead of sliver.

I had to cut wider holes for rear to fit properly my metal bracket is more out then yours
Really? Thats interesting i wonder why
I made mistake my bad flipped left and right metal brackets 😂
Im still waiting after 8 months for my WRX

I just got my set. Now to get my car delivered. Supposed to be here August 21st. Maybe the third reschedule date is the charm.
Third times the charm 🤞🏻

Where’s the link from where you purchased the mud flaps?????
Just rally armors website
hey Zack, is there any benefit going with rally armor vs the OEM ones?
I havent really looked at the factory ones to know anything to compare them. I believe with factory you have to drill holes though these you do not. But i could be wrong.

Will they still work with wrx lowered 1” over factory height without dragging?
Cant say for sure. But they are more than an inch off the ground on mine. And mine is stock height so id say probably.
Maybe i missed it but why did you say you need an 11mm wrench?
Rear brackets.

Yeah not much clearance at all without taking the wheels off. Glad the video helped!!
What tow kit is on there? Where did you get that from
Torklift ecohitch. If you go to my wrx playlist theres a whole install video for that as well.
What rear wing/lip are you running?
Just the factory one. Pulled it off and plasti dipped it.
can you share the link to buy it? thx.

I have the RokBlokzs and these _(the rears)_ are much easier to install.
Its always interesting to watch new vehicles get released and how rokbloks vs rally armor go about it haha
If only someone would design these to fit the rear of the wagon
Like the levorg?

How much horsepower did that add?
About 15 i figure plus the 5 for each sticker i have…
@@redwoodchronicles LOL, I heard a set of those hanging balls adds at least 20 pounds of torque.
@@tahoebum always wondered the reason some dudes are so proud of those balls. It all makes sense now haha
@tahoebum 🤓
Shit was not easy to install. And the small screws are to short and fall out. Don't suggest these unless you have a shop put them in
Maybe its because I’ve installed flaps on over 10 vehicles but this didn’t seem difficult to me at all. What did you have a hard time with?

I think i should do that. I know i didn't strip them out. I took the clip off and looked and it's just fine
Yeah id hit them up I’m sure they’ll be able to get it figured out for ya.
