I just installed oem mud flaps on my 22 wrx. Up front the oem ones were easier to install. On the back, rally armor did a good job with that set up. The oem rears requires drilling out 4 holes.
I ordered these with the altered lettering that are supposed to have the better brackets. I got a Rally Armor box with the correct part number and the regular flaps you see in this vid. The rear flaps do NOT fit like you see in this video. The middle hole of the rear does NOT line up with the OEM hold. You need to drill a new hole to make them fit correctly. The front fit fine.
These directions worked perfect! A million times better than trying to decipher the written instructions. I’m a little bummed though. There seems to be creases in the fender itself after tightening. Too tight??? 4:32
I liked mine, Up to the point I lost the metal braces on the front. I replaced one side and sure enough, I lost the other side. I finally ended up putting on the oem version. So far I am very happy with them. Maybe I was doing something wrong.....Who knows.....
The front use some cheap plastic bracket to brace it. I broke one installing them. POS. should be metal. IDK what the big deal is. RallyArmor could just make a metal piece instead. But I do like the looks of these much better.
Hey guys, I bought myself the Splashguard kit, but I also want the mudflaps. The seemingly use the same holes for the most part. Do you think you can install both? Thanks!
If they're just spinning and not backing out, try to put a flat head screw driver at the base of the bolt while trying to remove it at the same time. Sometimes, these can get stuck in the plastic and need a little extra to get them back to the threads to back out.

I just got my mud flaps yesterday for my 2004 STi but it did not come with any metal brackets. Poor quality control. But at least they came in a cool “made in NYC” box 🤷🏽♂️
I love new VB content but… those just look dumb. Or “out of place” on this WRX. Those are for outback’s and foresters ..in my opinion. Mud flaps…. My VB sees no mud bro. 😂
Did mying today throw away the instructions and just watch this cat here 💯

Thanks for heads up. I was planning on getting the oem ones but I don't want to drill so I'll get the rallyarmor ones
@@azca. the drill points are actually pre marked and you are only going through a thin bit of cladding. I would still go with OEM.
oh, good to know. appreciate it!@@steve8803
@@steve8803oem aren’t aggressive enough. Especially if your wheel setup is 20mm further than stock.
@@imoffendedthatyouareoffended you call aftermarket mudflaps aggressive, I call them gaudy. But, to each their own.
Thanks for this! Much easier than reading the supplied instructions!
Thank you!
The new mudflapz really pop!
Thank you! I think they do really set it off!

Probably just vibrated loose over time. I put a some Loctite blue threadlocker on them and that seems to be enough to keep them in place.

will this be the same process for the new era ones?

Wait is this the same guy from the iag videos?
Why yes it’s Jim
Yep! That’s me 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
The look nice!
I'm having trouble with removing the screws on the front only 2 outta the 4 are coming out any ideas as to how to get the others out?

Of course Im the one person in all of the USA who gets a kit missing one of the foam spacers in my box 😑 so installed both front without them.
Have you reached out to Support@importimageracing.com for assistance?
I want these, but black with red letters. Is that possible
