- I was walking threw Walmart the other day and I came across an overly cheap head unit that caught my eye with a price of $19.95 I couldn't help but want to get it and test it out seeing as I had a car that was in need of radio, my 1990 Honda Accord that is going to be an autocross car with an automatic transmission, just to test the limits of the platform.

How do I Bluetooth?
This head unit works good with my sub woofer I was surprised it had a blue antenna for the subs
How did it connect?
@@WyattPetersen if I remember right I think I had to splice the new headunit wires to the cars factory stereo wires. Btw after using that head unit I realized it wasn't as loud as I wanted. either way it is a good cheap option tho
@@Sj_HONDERO I just want something I can get a sub on… not planning long term. Just until I can afford the 9 inch floating screen from boss. It’s roughly $250. But completely touch screen.
@@WyattPetersen oh ok yeah I was able to connect a sub. Just splice the amp remote wire to the head unit blue wire and I think a blue wire from the cars stereo harness.

@@WyattPetersen but if it's a newer car I think it's more complicated since steering wheels have volume up and down. I'm not completely sure how to hook up audio on a newer car

Had music playin on my through bluetooth but it just stopped playing music. And acts as if it's always on bluetooth even after I reset it
Mine did the same thing. Just totally lost sound out of nowhere

i recently purchased this. It installed just fine but bluetooth wont connect from receiver to phone. However, my phone does pair. Any tips on how to get the receiver to connect ? Thx.
Try the reset button on the lower right of the stereo then try to connect to Bluetooth it’s gonna ask you for some code try 1234 or 0000 hope this helps
mine worked great for one day, day 2 its dead.

I did the literal exact same thing as you. Ive got an old 90s Rx7- The PO removed the radio in it, and ive been wanting to put another in it for awhile. Ive been eyeing a few things on Amazon- Was at walmart tonight however and saw this in the case for 16 dollars. Splurge bought it on the spot figuring ill go do some reviews before i open it, and worst case ill return it if its a complete POS.
The 7 isnt driven much, and its a sports car so its not the quietest car around- So im not going to exactly be "appreciating" amazing music quality, so i just needed something that more or less "works" with bluetooth so i can connect my phone. This seems to fit the bill nicely.

I had an Rx2 in the late 80's and an Rx7 in the late 90's .. i think it was a 1983. I like the 90's Rx7 tho : )

This unit is total junk. I know because I bought three of them.Only one of them still works they are unreliable.
I installed this unit last week and it works great. Completely blown away!
The app is so you can control the unit outside of your vehicle
The only reason why I have the app is because it is a in the House radio and it's nice to have it where you can turn it off turn the volume up change the EQ it's just nice to have all around

I want to use this on an iPad dash install.. how’s the sound? And will it handle my sub? It’s a 2500 watt amp
Here's the real question though, is the RCA output signal clean? Does it have LPF or HPF? Is the RCA pre-out 200mv or 5-9v? I've had shit luck with the amp outs on the new Duals, my older version of this puts out a real 200mv but the new 7in touch screen dual I bought puts out 20mv...
