Picking up another Foxbody after being out of them for 25 years. This video helps me with a choice. Thanks. Also new subscriber now.

@@crusadergarage298 man I remember the days of the stock block and crank rule lmao. I remember the first set of axles I broke. It was after drilling the upper front attachment point one inch lower.. car left hard, once..lol

Merrilat all day. I dont like the sliding adjustment on the team Z simply for it being more able to slide and back out. Seen a lot of merrilats on buddys cars and on high HP stuff with no issues

I ended up put Merrilat’s lower boxes on my car.

His box is very nice. I ended up using his lower boxes. 👍

And the team Z allows you to change the front pivot point without changing th length of the upper arm. Having the 9 adjustment holes is a down side because you need to adjust the length of the arm and double check pinion angle if you u use both sets of holes

Like stuff like this when people show the differences. I don't know if Lyons is still making his, I liked the way his was easy to tie into a cage since the floor side was plated and no down bar to snake tail pipes around. Though that was a street car compared to the stuff people do today. Was just a decent stick car that beat the hell out of the torque boxes.

Thanks. Either one of these is a phenomenal piece. I did this because these are the questions I had when deciding which one to use. And they don’t display this info on either of their sites. Hope it helps someone who is trying to make the same decision. Thanks for watching.

That sliding adjustment box would stop me from using it. If the bolt gets loose at all the rear end is going to get loose and shits gonna fly. I'd use the Merrilat Racing box if forced to choose, your mileage may vary. :-)

Either way you would be doing 100 times better using either one of these than the stock ones. Thanks for watching.

@@crusadergarage298 I agree, both appear to be very high quality and both would be way better than ripping out the OE boxes. I love all of the goodies that Team Z makes, and I'm sure that their boxes work as good as they look. I'm just a little concerned with that slider, but it may be unfounded as I have no practical experience with it.

Do you know if either one has a lower than stock bolt hole location? I see a lot of adjustability but they all look higher. Stock tub cars need the holes lower.

I would imagine they do but can’t answer that for sure. Sorry.
