Today I saw this really rare beast at Monza Circuit.
Only 19 model of the F40 LM and I was very lucky to find one still racing on the track. You don't imagine how it is well maintained: all the parts of the car are clear as the car left the Ferrari factory only yesterday.
I haven't any words to describe this beauty. So TURN UP YOUR SPEAKERS and ENJOY!!

Ferrari F40, the mother of all super cars and still the number one!! The LM version is the cherry to the pie! Awesome video
for many people f40 in particular is the epitome of sportscars. no radio, no aircon, no bullshit. lightweight car, v8, turbos, ass on the floor ride height and fast. still to this day it will spank many modern sports cars because of this purist combination.
I was born the year this car launched and it has been on my wall since I was old enough to know what a car was! One day I'll own an F40.

probably because it was the first production road car to top 200, the first (if not one of the first) cars to be built out of carbon fiber which had only just been introduced to f1 at the time, how pure the driving experience is because there's nothing in the way of electronics other than the ignition and lights, it doesnt take any prisoners, that it is a gorgeous piece of machinery, it was designed to be hardcore from the ground up and puts on one hell of a noise and light show

All I can say is when I was a kid (In the 80s) the F-40 was the best thing since slice bread. To see the F-40LM or F-50GT is a bigger treat because they are very rare race cars with strong racing history. It's a passion not a status symbol and people fail to realize that.

to a car enthusiast, seeing an F40 of any spec in person is a hell of an experience. I was lucky enough to ride in one on a track when i was 17, and it ruined every other car for me. the combination of the sound and sensation of speed is like a drug.

Its totally a personal thing that you can either appreciate or not, like playing cricket youve probably never played and could never appreciate why the pommy`s and Aussies love the game, or why some people love to sow/knit personally i cant understand why people find it interesting but some people love to do it

I will answer on a more technical level. This was the last car that Enzo himself was involved with before his passing. This was the first production road car to hit 200 MPH. In many eyes it was Ferraris last true drivers car. With out the assist of traction control ABS, ride control... well you name it. I can go on for a while. just naming a couple. The LM version remaind successful 9 years after the Base f-40 was released in 1987

Most defenitely one of Ferrari's wonderful creations... this car has to be one of the most Bad Ass cars since the 250GTO, now we are blessed with the 599 GTO, but in my opinion Ferrari had done a most excellent job with the F40 GTE. or F40 LM.

You know how you can tell a Race car from a Super-Hyper Car.... One, your left foot/right foot hurts from pushing in the clutch, also when the car tells you it hates being at idle and wants to go FAST.... real FAST and throws flames in eveyones face.

That's what a F40 (or any Ferrari) is made for : using it on a racetrack, not in the streets of LA or Monaco...
To me Ferrari will never top this. Ive had the rare chance (i was a detailer) to see one up close and to hear it run in person is spectacular..the one i saw had a tubi exhaust. Ear sex for sure.

It was also the first ferrari ever to be turbo'd. It had no practicality inside, no A/C no clean flooring. Just race car. Meant to look sexy and always will. Despite the fact there's so very little made.
