the most beautiful sound I ever heard live in my life!
I mean it sounds good, but it doesnt top off the Ferrari V12, especially the old school ones like F50 or Enzo.
Don't get me wrong I think the FXX K EVO sounds incredible but its not what I would call a beautiful sound. Its too aggressive and shouty, this F40 has a wisp softness to it which I haven't heard in many other cars apart form the CGT and LFA.
There's no fancy engineering to get the right sound. It's just right

Pure engine, pure sound, pure machine.
In my opinion, this is the best Ferrari ever made. I wish Ferrari was still producing cars without power steering, power brakes, and an honest to god clutch and shifter. This is the ultimate driving experience when the only power you have, is a monster engine in the back.
This is not just a Ferrari, this is idea or passion, dunno how to express it..

That along with the high revs on startup (not letting the fluids get up to temp) and the fact that he mistimes his downshifts - you can hear the revs drop again before he engages the next lower gear. All indicate that this is money over talent, shame really. He has little mechanical sympathy for something they made like 10 of.

crackle on the overrun. As he lifts off for the corner, Un-burnt fuel enters the exhaust which ignites causing the popping and crackling and the flames you can see also. :)

over-run, throttle is closed from full very quickly, the air stops flowing instantly but it takes slightly longer for the ecu to stop the injectors from delivering a WOT fuel shot, some of the fuel wont combust due to the extreme rich mixture so when the exhaust cycle comes fuel is dumped into the hot header where it ignites on contact and flames result out the back. , i think thats how it works anyways;)

The wastegate dumps excess exhaust gases not air.
It's the Blow-off/Pop-off valve that relieves the excess air pressure.
