I just installed that on my router table. Mine is all DIY with a big Hitachi plunge router. The area where that Velcro ring needs to attach is not flat. So I cut a 3” diameter steel ring and installed it with screws that use to secure a router guide bushing. That presented a flat secure surface to stick. I have a RouterRizer lift system and an extension collet. It works great, there only 1/8” gap between the steel plate and the router plate. Captures almost all the chips. Don’t know how long it will last.
My experience since install has been great. Aside from the few little hiccups I had I have no real complaints. I just used the router table last night and it captured probably 99% of the dust. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!
There may have been a few hiccups, but that tiny pile of dust speaks for itself. My router table is set up for industrial ducting but I only have a shop vac. This would make a huge difference to me. Great vid.
So far I’m satisfied with it with the exception of it “not fitting”. I think it would help out most hobbyists and possibly even “light production” shops. Thanks for watching and for the feedback!
Nice job with the video. You will be able to cut down on the dust even more if the fence is a little tighter to the work piece. Gorilla glue and Shoe goo are some mighty fine adhesives for a lot of applications. They are well worth having in the shop.
I ended up using titebond medium to get it to stick. I totally forgot about shoe goo. That stuff is amazing. Didn't have any but you're right, it's not a bad thing to have around.
