Mod maker here, I hope you enjoyed watching and if you want to play the mod go to the 5th link in the description > Getting Started > Projects > Search 1 Hp or One Shot For a bit I was thinking about requiring 1 kill only using some of that reverse physiology Grant was mentioning but it felt like an actual challenge should be required so I just shortened the mission a bit, plus as you could see Grant would have held the normal amount anyway because he is that good. This is one of the missions people ask for tips on as they are getting 1200 to 1300 kills as they (and me) are struggling with getting a good unit comp, hitting storms and facing waves. It was fun to watch.

The LOTV 1hp mod: - Why don't you Protoss just die? - Guardian Shell, Amon. It activates in response to 1hp trauma. Gotta be a long journey to get there, but I look forward to seeing it real soon.
I do wonder, if guardian shell will work at all, since everything has 1 hp, the question is if it might just trigger as soon as a unit it built/start of mission, and thus have no real effect, or just not work at all since it might require a unit to reach 1 HP from an attack, which wont happen or what

The elimination waves would probably overwhelm almost anything Grant had, but I think he far underestimated the carrier. The biggest issue in the same-range fights is that you need your projectile/beam to hit faster than the existence of their projectile. If the projectile exists even after the unit dies, then it doesn't matter if you attacked first. Because of carrier leash range + interceptor threat priority, the carriers can engage an enemy outside of the normal 6-9 range that one would normally fight at. Thus, carriers can somewhat circumvent the danger of the same-range fights with their interceptors. Now, enemies can and do fight interceptors, but if the interceptors are outside of bounce range to the carriers, then a few interceptors are far faster to replace than carriers.
The problem is the launch mechanic. Once the interceptors are launched, the carrier is great - but you usually get hit once before they get launched, and they pull back once there’s no longer any enemies in sight. In this mod it means most of the time there are no interceptors out.
@@TheBlobik Sure. But that’s somewhat expensive long term, and would work better for attacking - when you know when the battle is going to be - than for a defense mission like this.
