Thanks for that video ! Any idea how the covers on the back of the mirrors come off? I am hoping they just pop on ...... i'll continue to see if there is a video, so far no luck..... I can get a set of black covers to replace my badly scratched chrome ones for $27 for both !
Yeah the more power stuff you have the more of a pain it is, same basic technique though. The power mirror model plugs in with about a 12" cord. The screws for the door panel are a bit more hidden on the power packages. Otherwise it's the same with extra unplugging.
@@WildmanTech suppose you could, wasnt extra work i was planning on but how necessary do i need it or could i just bolt from the next plate over? or am I gonna have to take it to an auto body shop?
exactly the video that i needed! got the mirror installed in less than an hour! thank you wildman!
Nice easy-to-understand great video. I'm fixing to be replacing the passenger side on an 04 F-150 XL heritage.
My 04 has the same door panel setup.
Gracias por las intrusiones
A truck snapped my right mirror.
Time to learn how to fix it.
Thank you teacher truck 😄
Excelente vídeo… utilizando aqui em São Paulo (Brasil), em 2024. Parabéns!
Awesome video, very succinct. I'm replacing power mirrors on my 2002 due to stripped gears.. Taking the door panel off is half the battle.
Excellent, 30 minutes and replaced both mirrors.
Thank you
Nice quick fix Marsh. No "spare parts" left over at the end either.
Awesome video. I had someone sideswipe me and run so I am now executing a fix on a 2002.
Glad to be of help.
Helped me with 3/4 of the fix. ThkU
here in 2024!!! It took longer to find my T15 and 11mm socket, than it did to actually do the job!!!! Thanks !!!!!
Thank you for your time and video .

Thanks for the video. Well done.
Thank you!
You made it look easy!
Is there a Motorized window riser and/or heated mirror option on these models?
Yes.
You ROCK!
When u did the replacement did u notice if there were any plugs in case u wanted to add mirrors with signals?
What about the hood? Didn't the steel supply pay for the damage?
It buffed out with a minor dent. They gave me $300 worth of steel for that and paid cash for the mirror. I let them off easy.
That went on easy Marsh. Hate the truck took a beating like that.
Kinda' funny I caught it on the dash cam though.
Gracias 🙏
Thanks, I needed that!
So I hit a deer and my mirror went with it so this is really helpful
I hope the forklift operator and the business owner apologized profusely and paid for the replacement mirror.
Thanks for the video. Should save me time and broken fingers! lol
What I have power windows and power side view? 1997 ford
Just unplug the switch and the power-drive. I didn't show it, but the wiring harness is there anyway and those things just plug in.

Tried to remove the window crank, but it seems that is not a T15 torx. What else could I use to remove it?
T20 torx
So where do i get a mirror cap for 2001 f150 King Ranch, has turn signal
Ford dealer or a wrecking yard.
What about power window version. The side mirror is not electric.
It's exactly the same, just unplug the mirror from the wiring harness.
@@WildmanTech okay thanks.
Previous owner on my truck cut one of the plating that mounts to the door, how screwed am I
That depends. Can you weld a new one back in?
