Thanks and will use this item. I always prefer drilling a small pilot hole first over painter tape to protect the wood. Then make my second drill from the back so to protect the front of the cabinets. But it worked out well for you so good job and video.
two major things you could apply to this to make it 1000% better. FIRST TAPE the door before marking and second use a block to hold on the back to prevent a blow out. maybe also explain to there's why you didn't drill threw the jig because its plastic could create a bigger hold down the road that could throw off the measurements in the future.
It’s so funny you ask. The house we just moved into has sparked our interest in doing the same thing. We have early 2000 style light wood colored cabinets...thinking about painting them Weathered White which is a Behr branded paint from Home Depot. Don’t have an actual timeframe of when we will be doing this however we are thinking about it. 😎👍🔧🔩
DIY With Michael Borders Very cool. We are thinking about the same thing. Our cabinets are a little older, but a similar style and in decent shape. I painted our built-in cabinets in another room when we moved in and it got us thinking about doing the same to our kitchen cabinets.
@@roslynalbert4503 thank you I found one similiar in HomeDepot, I used to make them myself when I was always doing cabinet installs. Thank you for looking out. I appreciate it. The remodel is on my page that i just put the knobs on
Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. You can apply painters tape to back side of board to prevent it from chipping. Hope this helps, enjoy your day. 😎👍🔧🔩
hold a block of wood such as a small piece of 2x4 behind the cabinet when you drill. some people also lay down a strip of painters tape which I find not strong enough. also a spring loaded center punch to start your hole should be used every time.

Very cool. Have you ever redone kitchen cabinets with new paint? We’re thinking of doing it in the next couple of months.

@ Big Daddy The Professor I was just there today. I thought people used rulers. This makes things simpler. Thanks for the tip.

Do you know how can you prevent the back from breaking up like that?
