    So great that you used a block to prevent blowout on the backside. Sure wished my cabinet installers had done the same. Now that I'm building my own cabinets I'll follow your example. Well done!

    Excellent video! Explains perfectly the detailed steps and then fast forwards through the repetitive parts.
    My husband and I watched this video, and then installed a ton of cabinet handles. Thank you!

    I’ve installed hw for years. This is a basic homeowner guide to a $180 jig.
    I’ve never used a side stop and marked center in the top of the drawer front and used the notch for drilling. I’ve also never used the jig to drill all the way through. It will eventually wobble out the steel bushings.

    Hell yes, I bought it. Never a screw-up once set up. Accurate as all hell. Love it. Yes, buying a full kit has a sting but man is it worth every dollar spent.

    Jigs are way more prone to off kilter marking and hardware. Its where they rely on the manufacturer to make every door style & drawer head 100% uniform and square. You only get that level of precision on high end cabinets. I suggest using a tape measure and do a quick double check every time before drilling.

    Don't you have any safety protective equipment like Softgle Comfort to protect your eyes? Even if you do DIY, maybe safety first is still your priority. Thanks!

    This is dope. For sure, but you can get a set of plastic templates at HD or Lowe’s for $8 and just mark your centers than drill. What’s the advantage here?

      Precision, efficiency, and longevity is what makes our jig far above the rest. Gone are the days of making your own jigs or buying throw away pieces that will sit in landfills for years to come. Give us a chance you won't be disappointed. Cheers!

      Why the hell would you do that?

  • @kjrst9

    You're doing exactly what I want - to position a handle in the inset face of a shaker drawer. I'm concerned that the jig won't sit flush against it, and I might have seen a bit of that on this video but can't tell for sure. Is this a reasonable use and are there any extra measures to take for that difference in the plane of the cabinet face?

    • @TruePositionTools
      @TruePositionTools  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, this is actually the only jig capable of working on inset (shaker style) drawer fronts! Due to the stability of the top plate and the length of our bushings, you simply need to hold the jig in place securely and the jig will be perfectly perpendicular to your work piece, allowing for accurate hole placement . Some users clamp when doing this step for added stability, but it is generally not necessary. Additionally, we are releasing an accessory in a couple of months to add a backing spacer to make this situation a little easier. Please check our site for updates on this. Cheers!

    I like these tool is nice tool but is no necessary de stop you can mark on top front drawer the tol have the ark center ready stop is ok just on door is my opinion

    • @TruePositionTools
      @TruePositionTools  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the tool can be used several ways to find center, that's the beauty in its versatility. We prefer a different method altogether that requires no marking, see link for details. (link to centering without marking video that i filmed) th-cam.com/video/BOdrxBYGuAg/w-d-xo.html

      Thanks for your comment! Maybe there was an ad before you got to the video. This video shows how to set up the jig, place the jig, and install hardware on both drawers and doors. Always feel free to reach out with questions if you need help with it!
