Hi Tony, You can lock the control ring on the back (certainly on the M6) by switching on lock mode in the menu then when you hold down the Fn button it either locks the control ring or unlocks it. This is very useful when you have the lens control ring to change the shutter speed and the front ring to change the aperture which you can still do with the control ring on the back locked. Then the settings would not change in your pocket.
Anyone else feels the audio was much better when he switched to the rx and a6400? And even the video was much more pleasing, especially the colors were much better than on normal camera.
I just purchased one of these little cameras specifically for the ‘point and shoot’ side of it. I use the SD card dongle for my iPhone to transfer the pictures, works great with little effort. Good zoom, good pictures, great video options as well, good stabilizer, I leave it in auto, used the timer features, the tiny viewfinder to take some wildlife pictures. Overall it’s great for someone who wants really amazing pictures with a little more effort than a smartphone but not much.
Tony, I preferred the video from the Sony over the Canon. IMHO, blurred out backgrounds is a look that is getting old. I like seeing the surroundings, it makes it more like I'm there standing in front of you talking with you.
I just want the old stuff back: 24-70 f1.8-2.8 Internal ND Internal time lapse And some long overdue features: 4k60 mic input Real time touch AF in video It seems like they always go sideways to prevent the perfect camera from being released.
I think for the vacationer who wants a boost in the picture quality and versatility of the a long zoom lens over what they get with any cell phone camera that the new Sony is a real keeper. Fits easily in a coat pocket or purse, not too big or cumbersome, yet gives images the equal or better of pro cameras from just 10 -20 years ago, that's a pretty attractive camera. The only thing it lacks is being waterproof and ruggedized.
Very frustrating that Sony refuses to release a new version of this camera with the faster 24-70mm f1.8-2.8 lens and all the other improvements they've made in this model. That lens is sharper and lets in more light than your typical APS-C kit lens. I don't need 200mm of zoom range for a jacket pocket walk around camera.
Not sure about iPhones but on android you just tap the camera to your phone (where the NFC logo is) and the correct apps will open on the phone & camera and transfer the current displayed image. No need to pull the SD card out...
You're right, the RX100 VII video was a lot richer in color, contrast and dynamic range. Ok, it doesn't have a shallow depth of field but... who cares?! Canon cameras are SO overrated, I have a micro 4/3 Panasonic GH5 and even this RX100 makes a lot better videos than 99.9% Canon's cameras. Canon's are popular because people have LOT and a lot of lenses for them.
I have the iPhone 13 Pro and have been relying on it more and more on some of my trips instead of my DSLR, but as good as it is, it still only has a 3x zoon (77mm or so equivalent). For this reason, I was thinking this camera could be a great complement to the phone for days when I didn't want to drag around the big SLR (my D810 and a 70-200 2.8 lens together weight about 5 pounds!).
About polarization of the screen. I had the same problem with my first camera and my current phone, but there's an easy fix: put a protective glass onto camera/phone screen. Additional glass will disperse light into multiple directions, therefore giving you an ability of seeing the screen with sunglasses regardless of screen orientation. There's still some additional light loss (while wearing sunglasses) I'd say 30 percent, but it's better than nothing.
The rx100 video looks way better than the canon video. I mean sure there's no background blur but look at that DR! And hell, the audio sounds better too.
He's using large aperture that is harder to control in terms of AF, tracking, sharpness, and exposure. It's a rarity to use super shallow DoF in videos. If it does, it's usually MF operated. Assuming he's using EOS R but adapted with something wide like the old 24mm 1.4 that might also contributes the difficulty. And I suspect, he don't really set it up during shoot. The background's exposure is blown, and the tracking could be set faster rather than smooth. He took simplicity. The EOS R is actually fantastic in video.
These shallow DOF videos are getting old. It is just too distracting to watch. How are you supposed to enjoy a product video when 90% of the time is is out of focus. Chelsea need to tell Tony to stop.
I never get the complaints on Sony menus. You can customize MyMenu, the function menu, and the buttons. After you do that, I go entire trips without going into the traditional menu structure. Who is the guy that can't fit his used settings in all these custom options?
No matter what Sony does with their menus people will alway use that excuse to justify a con against it. I have had Zero issues even when new to the system with Sony menus.
Exactly, I have zero difficulty with the Sony menu, I actually find it simple and well laid out. Along with the menu and the so called 'poor ergonomics' these two things have become the standard clichés for lazy youtubers to bash Sony with when all else fails.
Okay, bad sound in the video, I think we all agree on that. Video idea: RX100 VII vs A6400 w/kit lens. Both actual ease of use and blind test of pictures at f8.
I don't get the send to smart phone thingy... I mean hold the nfc logo of the camera to the nfc logo of the smart phone, when you see the picture you want to transfer in playback... That's not complicated
@@epiphoney no iPhones have transfer the same way. Plus you can link the camera to the phone and continually capture photo directly to the phone from the camera like a wireless tether.
This new Sony is a must have for Tony! It's WAY better that the Canon used to film this video. Better autofocus, better audio, better background, better image quality, better dynamic range, better exposure. lol
Excellent no background blur, my kind of travel camera where I want to record what I actually saw. Suprised there are people who like everything sharp with greatest depth of field?
What everyone wants is beautiful background, NOT blurred background. If people gone hiking and blurred the mountain, then what's the point right ? The only reason to blur the background is to make the bad seems beautiful. I feel like Tony's overdoing it.
@@MrJed_s How about blending in with the frame then ? Rather than "separating" the subject from the world. In travel, every part adds story. And that's what I think the most important thing before you even think of blurring them out.
@@kikipratama1 fair points, but for me, even while traveling, sometimes the story I want to tell is simply "cute dog" or "weird food", and for that a sharp background is unnecessary, or even distracting. But to each their own :)
Stop rocking the skinny jeans Tony 😆... I can easily fit my RX100, breath mints, and keys in my khaki pocket and I’m a 31 waist . Excited for this release and the video AF tracking but not enough to upgrade my VA.
Blurred backgound is not an issue once you get to know how this camera works. In fact it is no different to any other camera that allows full manual control. See Chuck Carters comments above. Tony N just didn't take the time to find out how to do it.
Tony. First off - I bought your book. Nice work. I thought it was thorough and nice to see what you found useful to communicate. I enjoyed it and was happy to purchase it. Now as for this review - let me ask - Who watches this channel if all they want is a camera/phone that shoots like crap when you want to zoom, be more creative - (Or buy a complex app that is as much a pain as the two step process to share this cameras photos and video to your smart phone) - or shoot low light (resulting in something called noise on most phones that is awful and makes photos look like garbage) or anything that does not involve a professional understanding of photography? As for your depth of field comments - did you try using manual mode and a low aperture, the camera has aperture control. All built into this camera. If all anyone on your channel wants is a lesson on how to shoot with a phone why are you even doing this review of a high end point and shoot? I would understand if those concepts are too far out of your audiences range for understanding. Or at least that's what I think you must believe and in my opinion I think you might be selling them short. I have to call you out on the chip - once you buy a phone you are stuck with the storage on it - and while most things go to the cloud, you cannot argue that the ability to expand your storage by simply swapping out an SD card beats having to use what's on the phone. Even my friends who shoot video on phones - use external storage dumps after a shoot which is a lot more time consuming than switching out a card. Floppy disk? I bet a huge part of your audience doesn't even know what one of those are. Simply put - this is most likely too much of a camera for a lot of people who simply don't want to be bothered with anything but a phone camera - then you mention Lightroom, Photoshop and other fairly advanced photo editing tools - all software that is more advanced to use than the menu on this camera. I have to ask - why did you review this and not one of the better smart phone cameras out there instead? It appears that you have some strong bias against Sony - it really comes through in your review. If you do - just say so it would explain how you glossed over so many of the positive things about this camera (And the many other compacts out there). I think your audience - if given half a chance, would see the value of a tool that expands their creativity in hundreds of ways when compared to a smart phone. You almost immediately rag on the camera as if it's a piece of junk - giving me the impression you don't really understand the advantages it presents to much of your audience, which I assume - would be tuning into your channel to see how to take better pictures and see who you might explain how a camera like this would help them enormously if they simply took the time to learn it. If I was reviewing this, I would say simply - if you desire to really take your photography to the next step - consider one of many of these small wonderfully compact cameras and see what you come up with it. And while I know professionals who shoot video/photos with a phone (during the day or with portable LEDs) and turn out truly amazing work, they invariably use something like this with all of it's capabilities under more difficult shooting scenarios - and I know some of them would choose this over a phone in that they have a lot more freedom to experiment with something that is designed as a camera first and foremost - and because of it's diminutive size. And let's not forget the image sensor/chip - On a phone it's the size of a pencil eraser or smaller... on this camera it's 1 inch - all that extra space gives you better image quality and a better light gathering capability, control over nearly everything they you in the viewfinder, full manual control (without an app) - which a phone does not do. Nice photos are taken with phones - but with the control you have for anyone who takes the time to learn this - it's like night and day. Just my two bits.
And a very good two bits too. I like Tony and his presentations. In fact the RX100mkV11walk through he did was very good and that's why I think he missed the real point of the RTX100 in this review. Dare I say a bias towards the RX series maybe? I only buy phones that are best in class for camera, excluding Apple that I wouldn't own even if they were free. The RX100mkV11 appeals greatly because I want the compactness and incredible spread of features that it offers. What other camera does in this size? Finally, for a videoographer the audio in many places was appalling as was the slow focusing from the other Sony Tony was trying to promote. Fuinny huh?
Tony, Thanks once again for introducing us to a niche piece of gear. This helps our photo club discuss alternatives for some of our members. I like the way you talk to your entire audience and not just the techs. I detect that some of the A7iii and A9 firmware trickled down to the RX100 but the notorious Sony menu system unfortunately made it here too.
"They don't think I should ever blame cameras for usability issues" -- Ha! The RTFM crowd. I love that you bring in an understanding of ACTUAL users and an understanding of what usability is. When you blame users, you aren't being user centered.

Subir Thapa It is an option, well the Mark V because it has an ND filter, you absolutely have to have an ND filter when shooting in bright sun and white beaches.
@@nollpa2696 I just wanted to point out that the chances of getting dust on a fixed lens camera is very low. If it does happen I have heard people say that a vacuum cleaner sucking through the lens works.
Excellent video. Especially from the standpoint of a person maybe going from a smart phone to an actual "camera"! :) My RX100VII quest was from quite the opposite direction however. I just bought my RX100VII after I already bought an a6000 four years ago, then an a7iii two years ago with a ton of lenses. My specialty is low-light action photography which I need the a7iii for, but I thought I probably don't need the a7iii when I'm shooting in daylight or normal light conditions, and I believe I'm right. This RX100VII isn't for low-light moving subjects, or beautiful portraits, but it is perfect for virtually everything else.
Hi Tony, thanks for this great video. You may think I'm crazy but I like how the rx 100 vii focused everything in the video. The big camera with the blurred background. I really didn't like it.
I think the Sony RX100 VII has better dynamic range than the Canon( whatever the model ), Tony was using from this video . Was there any Post Processing ?
yes both the RX100 and the A6400 video sections looks miles better than the Canon. Plus using the very low F stop in a video like this is very annoying.
Because Canon "Dual Pixel" sucks, I dont know why people are so excited about their AF system. If you have enough contrast even Panasonic has faster AF, seriously - I compared Lumix G9 to Canon EOS RP. Sony and Fuji are a lot betterin autofocus.
Like I’ve mentioned many times, if a phone can be a camera why can’t a camera have a SIM card slot and also transfer data instantly? What’s the hold up?
Tony when Canon invited you to a presentation of their new EOS R to Hawaii in 2018, that wasn't paid by them? 😀😀 I think it's totally fine to get money as long as you say it and describe why you decided to accept the money.
I just brought the RX100VA (wanted the F1.8 over F2.8 from MkVI) 8mths ago and this just comes out, the turn around is quicker than smart phones models. If your use to Sony A7RIII with GM lens or Pixel shift photos you be pretty disappointed by the RX100 series picture quality when you zoom in. But I got the RX100VA for portability. Have a slim case like the Lowpro 20 and a belt and its a pretty small carry companion when you don't want to bring your full gear setup. Saying that I use it only about 15% of the time vs my A7RIII.
I recorded a tutorial for this camera and tested every single way to transfer pictures. I couldn't get NFC to work at all. I did finally find a method that would connect the camera to my phone, but even then, working with the photos was a slow, clumsy, and unreliable experience. If you need further evidence that the average consumer isn't up for the frustration, the Sony imaging app has a 2/5 star rating in the app store. Almost every human who uses it hates it.
@@TonyAndChelsea I agree ,the app is frustrating to use,but I've found transferring photos to be simple, Just find the photo you want to transfer, then switch on NFC on your phone and tap, The app opens up and the photo instantly transfers. But yes, there is a initial setup involved, which could be beyond some people I guess.
Ok. LOL I never do this. (Stop a video of yours in the middle to leave a comment) 4:49. But dude. Smart phone users are probably not the demographic of this camera LOL!!! At this price point, it's for Pro/Enthusiast shooters who want a good Vlog/travel size camera that provides useable images for print/websites. Also too, with out using it, I have to imagine it's the same app and download system Sony users are already used too. I really dont think that's a fair argument (Unless, it's new and different and harder now for some reason) And not for nothing but LG smart phones seem to think it's a real good idea to polarize their screens. So I have to take off my sun glasses to use my phone as a camera too. Love you guys tho, please keep up the good work. Not complaining, just saying.
Exactly...gezz the rant was almost to hard to listen to. I love my s20 ultra a great camera cellphone but I wont out pace my rx100 mark 1 let alone the mark 7
Hello, tech person here. They could make the process of those WiFi Apps ALOT easier if they simply showed a QR Code on the camera Screen which you scan with the app to join the wifi ... if they want to make it even more easier, they could implement AirDrop and or Android Beam (or now Fast Share). The thing I would really love, is to customize a button on the camera to join my home WiFi and then showing up as a drive from where I can import into Lightroom.
Yeah, these are good suggestions. I'd really like to see it walk the user through linking to a smartphone the first time they power it on... today compact cameras like these are smartphone accessories for most people, like airpods or a smart watch, and binding to a smartphone should be (almost) mandatory.
So here's my question - we're looking to up our vlogging game. So far we've just been using our smart phones, but want something that has quality zoom capabilities for greater creativity when shooting scenes for our travel vlog (the zoom on our Samsung Galaxy phones has terrible quality). We don't want a big, bulky camera because we just won't carry around something that's too cumbersome, and I've been designated as the nerd in the family so I don't mind digging into user's manuals or watching tutorials on how to get the most out of a piece of equipment. Typically any footage for our vlogs goes through post-production in Adobe Premiere Pro. Given that information, what is your opinion on this as a compact vlogging camera, especially with regard to image stabilization? Thanks in advance!
Bokeh issues aside, it was striking how much richer, more saturated, and flattering the Sony video was than the washed-out Canon video. It was an object lesson in how overvalued bokeh can be: Given the choice between a video that flatters the subject albeit with clear background, and one that compromises the subject albeit with lots of background blur, I’ll take the former.
Great share thank you. The Canon camera you used to create this video, takes time to refocus. It looks slower than average. I have a Canon G7X Mark II which I mostly used during family vacation and I am happy by using that.
Great review. Unrelated - What accessory are you using to connect your shotgun mic above your tripod from your canon? I like how compact it is to film onsite and beats dragging a big c stand around. Let me know!
Looks like the AF and other specs blows the Canon G5X II and G7X III out of the water! However, no built in ND filters. This or go with the A6400? A6400 has bigger sensor and interchangeable lenses... and also great AF.
I understand that if you are casually out using the camera in sunny conditions then polarized sunglasses would prohibit you from seeing the screens but you were talking about shooting a soccer game, which the alternative would be using the A9, not an iPhone. Do you shoot an A9 with your polarized sunglasses on? Probably not. So while you may be able to see the action on the iPhone better, you will get crappy shots in comparison to the RX100, which would be the more appropriate camera to use when compared to an iPhone. At least in this example.

Thanks for the great review! So what would you recommend for someone who wants a step up in photo quality compared to a smartphone for travel? The zoom and size for this camera seems great...but maybe not for a beginner.
I will make a recommendation to you with the expectations of being attached by everyone on TH-cam. I own and use the following Sony cameras : a7rii, a7ii, a7sii, a6500, a6000, rx100iii, rx10iii, (3) hx80, and other brands too, along with a large selection of lenses. I also had, but sold an rx100v very nice camera, but the rx100iii does everything I used that camera for. We went to Disney World last year with the two little-est kids that had never been before, so I really wanted to capture those ever precious moments. I changed my selection about a hundred times before we left. I ended up taking the following: rx10iii, rx100v, rx100iii, and my daughter took the hx80, that I gave her. I left all the higher end camera stuff at home because of getting on rides and maybe rain, 100F degree weather, etc... I ended up using the whole time the rx10iii. It has the 1" sensor and is a bridge camera that does everything very well. Shot stills and videos at night and day. Beautiful fireworks video and stills over the castle. Day shots were flawless even cropping in. It reaches from 24mm out to 600mm too. You can set it to full auto and leave it or go as advanced as you can with anything else. You can say "well I was wanting something smaller", but suck it up and take it anyway. These are your once in a lifetime memories and you only get one shot at getting them. I use a case just big enough for the camera and one extra battery and you're on your way. Check out all the reviews on the rx10iii and rx10iv (newer more expensive). Most pros will not push the bridge cameras in a review, because it allows the everyday person to take wonderful pictures. You're not going to get the background blur of a full frame a7 series with an 85mm f1.4 or f1.8 lens, but very sharp loveable vacation and day- in- a- life family pictures. The rx100's eye view finders are really nice, but not fast to bring up and get a quick shot of action that's only going to last seconds. I walked with the rx10iii in video and stills mode with it up over my head above the crowds taking pictures and videos one handed. Even my daughter's hx80 pictures turned out wonderful in the bright light, and only started getting grainy in the low light conditions indoors and at night. Not bad, but you could see the difference when on a large computer screen. Sorry for the novel, but I've been doing photography from back in the 1970's till now, and for the one do everything very well camera, this is my pick. If it's for something specific, then no, I grab the specific tool for the job. Portraits with full frame, soft boxes, strobes, backdrops, etc... I really hope this helps you or someone else, Most Sincerely, Ron.😎
Have you noticed that if you rotate the sunglasses most displays will become visible again, just slightly darker? Since most cars nowadays have digital displays utilizing polarization in their construction that go dark when wearing polarizing sunglasses, the same with displays on the back of digital cameras, and cell phones, and computer screens and tablets, why not get the sunglass industry to simply rotate the polarizing film on their glasses 90*? Note: most of the sunglasses made come from one company, Luxottica Group. There is also at least one sunglass manufacturer that has rotating lenses, which is great for many reasons.
Transferring a pic from my RX10 ii to my iPhone is so fast and so easy. I go to the pic that I want to send to my phone, hit one button which brings up a screen that says “one image”. I click it then go to my phone and open the app and as soon as I do it’s transferring the image just that easy. Is the process of this camera not the same.?? Hard to believe.

The rx100 video looks way better than the canon video. I mean sure there's no background blur but look at that DR! And hell, the audio sounds better too.
Matt M wow it was way better!!! Why is he using that canon.
his videos shot in canon, will always be overexposed background and have bad dr.
Tony what are you using to film these videos because the focus hunting is very bad, an Eos R?
Suaird I think he is using the EOS R, but at 1.4 and going from minimum focus to medium range, so that’s really hard
It’s very bad video to be honest. I would get the EOSR
I love how fair this review is.
I enjoy the honesty and information from this couple. It can save you from spending a ton of money buying a camera or lens that you may later regret.
Wow the audio in this video has a lot of reverb? Very distracting.
Im still waiting on the a7siii, also surprised they don't make a wide angle version of this camera for vloggers
24mm is plenty wide
@@StreetsOfVancouverChannel for full frame yes but for 1" sensor, no.
@@FPSakari this is 24mm full frame equivalent, not actually 24-200mm
Completely agree.
Yes agreed and there a six spots to store custom setting. Three in camera and three stored on the card.
Android phones only right?
@@epiphoney no iPhones have transfer the same way. Plus you can link the camera to the phone and continually capture photo directly to the phone from the camera like a wireless tether.
This new Sony is a must have for Tony!
It's WAY better that the Canon used to film this video. Better autofocus, better audio, better background, better image quality, better dynamic range, better exposure.
lol
your audio plays back twice, second copy is slightly time shifted, hence the phaser-effect
Just wanted to write that
Excellent no background blur, my kind of travel camera where I want to record what I actually saw.
You never take travel photos that have a subject that's more important than whatever is in the rest of the frame?
@@MrJed_s How about blending in with the frame then ? Rather than "separating" the subject from the world.
In travel, every part adds story. And that's what I think the most important thing before you even think of blurring them out.
@@kikipratama1 fair points, but for me, even while traveling, sometimes the story I want to tell is simply "cute dog" or "weird food", and for that a sharp background is unnecessary, or even distracting. But to each their own :)
@@MrJed_s Then that's a very plus if you can make the balance. Bokeh surely pleasing.
Finally, the price will go down enough to afford the RX100 MK1 second handed
Get rid of your Canon for filming or take a course how to film :)
Stop rocking the skinny jeans Tony 😆... I can easily fit my RX100, breath mints, and keys in my khaki pocket and I’m a 31 waist . Excited for this release and the video AF tracking but not enough to upgrade my VA.
The relative lack of background blur with the lens of this camera is a deal breaker for me. Thanks for pointing this feature out. A very useful video.
Fuinny huh?
He's simply a bad reviewer.
I'll Waite for the RX100 VIII, and, as you know, it's right around the corner
This camera is wonderful, I don't know what Tony was trying to do but the good thing was that I watched it 2 years after buying it.
Confirmed. We now know Chelsea is a soccer mom, literally.
"They don't think I should ever blame cameras for usability issues" -- Ha! The RTFM crowd. I love that you bring in an understanding of ACTUAL users and an understanding of what usability is. When you blame users, you aren't being user centered.
Audio was not the best on this one. But good honest review 😎👍
I think the size and features hint towards the ideal camera for the street as people are less likely to notice it.

What do you do when you get dust on the sensor of a $1200 point and shot camera with a fixed lens?
I have the original RX100 that is now 8 1/2 years old and there is no dust on the sensor.
@@nyobunknown6983 Thats great! But it still does not answer my question???

This video is way I never look at cameras or gear without coming to Tony first… you just saved me 1200 bucks… thank you Sir.
Hi Tony, thanks for this great video. You may think I'm crazy but I like how the rx 100 vii focused everything in the video. The big camera with the blurred background. I really didn't like it.
The Panasonic G9 can also do 20FPS with no blackout :) but that RX100 Mark 7 is in my list to get
I agree about the battery, a deal-breaker most probably for me,
I think the Sony RX100 VII has better dynamic range than the Canon( whatever the model ), Tony was using from this video .
Was there any Post Processing ?
yes both the RX100 and the A6400 video sections looks miles better than the Canon. Plus using the very low F stop in a video like this is very annoying.
Auto focus on that canon seems like its struggling?
Because Canon "Dual Pixel" sucks, I dont know why people are so excited about their AF system. If you have enough contrast even Panasonic has faster AF, seriously - I compared Lumix G9 to Canon EOS RP. Sony and Fuji are a lot betterin autofocus.
@@AXYZE lol Dont let matti hapooja hear you speak of canon auto focus in that way what a waste of a being
Fantastic break down on use cases of different shooters.
Like I’ve mentioned many times, if a phone can be a camera why can’t a camera have a SIM card slot and also transfer data instantly? What’s the hold up?
And If you want to see the strengths of this little camera, watch Kais video!
I have the RX100 m3 and have no problem transferring the pics to my phone
I appreciate the honest review with the pros and cons. So many sellout reviewers on youtube only concentrating on the pros.
Saying that I use it only about 15% of the time vs my A7RIII.
how come the audio has an echo / robotic effect?
What about the new Canon G7Xiii which automatically shares photos to your phone while shooting?
What about overheating? I bought model V in 2016 and was surprised about heat. Doesn't alowed 4k video longer than 15 minutes. And battery is pain.
MAG DAG heating is why I sold mine.
No overheating. Watch KAYs wideo.
With NFC, it is as simple as a tap to transfer the photos,if you have the app on your phone.
Is it just me or did Tony blast this thing in a subtle way?
He shouldn't have. The video is way better than the Canon he is shooting this review with.
I really dont think that's a fair argument (Unless, it's new and different and harder now for some reason)
And not for nothing but LG smart phones seem to think it's a real good idea to polarize their screens.
Tl;dr: No!
(seems to be the reply to all '?' videos lately...) and nobody was suprised...
@@TonyAndChelsea yes, totally agree! It kind of would be a dream job for me to build such a camera app and the camera integration :D
Can you take shallow depth of field photos with this camera? I like to take pictures of wildflowers with a blurred background.
I had the RX100iV - it is a pain to use. Buy a A6x00 or a Fuji instead.
What camera did you shoot this video with? Wondering why the exposure is different on your shots?
Price is too steep. I'd rather pick up the 100 va
I want an RX100 VIIa with the faster glass.
It's the slow motion that I like. Any other compact cameras that can shoot good 120 fps or more?
Great review. Unrelated - What accessory are you using to connect your shotgun mic above your tripod from your canon? I like how compact it is to film onsite and beats dragging a big c stand around. Let me know!
Superb camera
The combo of a small sensor and a slow lens is a big no-no for me. Even if it wasn't overpriced.
The main issue with the sony menu system is that it does not give enough control, they need to add menu items to bring advanced sensor controls.
I'm not into sports photography. Is this good enough for other photography? Landscapes? Portraits? etc..etc..

I really hope this helps you or someone else,

Alright.... color me impressed with this camera. This would make a great vlogger camera in good lighting conditions.
