110% agree with you. #Byjus and other EduTech companies work exactly same way as you explain. They promised to pay 100% refund if we don't like the course and after that denies for refund.
I’m also victim of fake commitments by the #Byjus sales person, he promised me that if you don’t like the course you can get 100% refund even after 15 days but now #Byjus telephonic advisor denning to refund. #Byjus such a big scammer they are cheating innocent public of India.
The reason they don't refund is that they overlap the 15 days of trial with refund window. Your refund window expires even before you actually buy the course. Their system is flawed by design to rip people off. Even the BDAs tell that once a payment is done, that phone number is ignored by system itself for 15 days so that nobody could contact for refunds. This is one really messed up company.
After working in BYJU'S as a BDA for almost a year... I can proudly say that pranjal sir is 100% right... I am also following him from last 3 years... His research for topics are always in details and true...!! I support you...

He is so correct at 14:00. There is a famous trendline that is used among many students at IITs and IIITs that even if you don't get any job after BTech , simply start any EDTech startup and just do any stupid thing. BYJU will definitely acquire it within a month or 2. Such is its acquisition spree.
Last month, My Aunt called my Mom and started boasting how her daughter got selected by Byjus for a scholarship program where she was getting Courses worth of 2 lakh something for 80k (I'm currently pursuing engineering so I have been from that class 11-12 phase where you are made to believe that only big coaching Institutes can help you to go to a good engineering/medical college, I know how brands like Byjus lure you by calling you and your parents again and again.) So my mom who has seen this phase tried to explain to my aunt that all this is a fraud but my Aunt was brainwashed so well by this Brand that she wasn't even ready to listen to mom, she was acting as if my mom doesn't want her daughter to do well in life. So that's the level of propoganda that's going on.
You are absolutely right, Pranjal Ji. This big fish has already swallowed employment opportunities of many teachers at local level. Today many teachers are trying really very hard to make ends meet due to Byju's vicious circle. Thanks a million for making this video.
This makes me feel thankful to my mom who took my tuitions herself. Parents really don't need tech to teach their kids (except maybe for research and stuff) just inculcate discipline and let the kids study themselves. Sad so know so many edu tech companies are making profit off this.
Taking loans in customers' names without their knowledge is a criminal offence. We are with you Sir and let us know we will give you all the backup you need.
Sorry I am a bit confused here. So how do they take consent from the client. On a call? or they make them fill any online application? How can the bank sanction loan without any kyc or even a signature/identification proof. It doesn't make any sense!! Can you please explain if I am missing out something here. PS: I am not BYJU Simp / promotor. I am just trying to asses the case rationally without any bias
@@siddhantdeshmukh7120 it's so simple. When you go to purchase a flat or vehicle and you can't pay the whole value at a time the seller asks you to purchase it on EMI and you agree and sign . Basically they take loans in your name from NBFC (such as Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Finance etc) or from Bank. Byju's just does the same thing! It’s the customers' fault that they don't go through all the terms and policies.
@@CommerceBengal Victim blaming. Some parents may not understand the whole thing and sign up due to fomo. The fault lies entirely on these predatory classes. Previously it used to be coaching classes, now they moved online.
@@Banzybanz I used the term "customer" for a bigger purpose. Most of the people doesn't understand that they're taking loan even when they purchase a electronic gadget / vehicles /house. Nextly if someone is going to suit a file against Byju's or what, they will say "it's your fault you didn't read all the terms and policies ". So I'm blaming none, I'm just stating facts
Appreciate making so much detailed video. I smelled corporate slavery long back in advance in society and it's good to know there are others who also think alike.
you are completely right. even i have done the job in byjus as a sales manager and my package was also RS 10 lakh but today I am proud of myself that I resign from my job. the worst company I have ever seen and the worst culture in corporate. and the NBFC thing was correct they trained us only for this. hats off to you @pranjal kamra

Every point you mentioned was bang on. One of the salesman did come home and spent some time with my daughter (7yrs), gave her some questions and started evaluating her....forgetting that he is the least qualified person to do so. How can anyone other than the school teacher or parents evaluate a child? It was an experience that the salesman discussing my child's capabilities, and he will never forget the teaching i gave him. Seriously if Mr.Raveendran wants to improve the education system in India, he better start schools, and deploy teachers to teach children....enough of this humbug...
I think that the plan now. They'll have Byju's Schools which are expensive and take over the education system from the government. And government might just allow it coz CAPITALISM.

India's most dishonest company. Government should look into this. The corporate structure of this organisation is indeed from top to bottom is unethical. Thanks for letting mass know Pranjal Sir. This really is helpful 👍
My son , when he was a +2 student joined in byjus app. A preliminary type course for preparing competitive exams for neet, Jee engineering etc. The company charged rs.58000 /. A lap top and bundles of guides send by courier. In the lap there were some classes of science. Rarely there were some calls from a mentor. He asked something but no actual guidance or doubt clearances. No on line class or advices to the student. It was a total cheating .From an ordinary family the company like a thief charged such a large amount and cheated us.Now the company has grown so much by cheating many. All parents should aware about this type of cheating.
Completely agree with FOMO marketing of Byju's. The sales team becomes very rude when you refuse to take a paid package. One of them infact went on to say "You should stop using the app if you are not ready to buy a package." It is a ridiculous approach.
These sales people are actually not sales people they are enginneer who didn't got a job in other companies and applied for sales roles in byjus. My friend works in byjus. They have to sell something to remain in thier job.
@@tnitin5239 The point is understood that sales team have massive pressure. But does this give them a right to have such a conversation with me and my family ? Will you allow a stranger to speak to your family in this manner ? Will you buy a package from Byju's so that your friend can keep the job ? Sales team in every industry needs to show numbers. For example, a salesperson in a car dealer showroom has to show car sales to keep the job. On a personal front, I will not accept this approach. Cannot speak for others for sure.

You are one of the most honest Financial Influencers on TH-cam and that's the reason I trust you blindly, thanks for showing the reality. Being a parent I also got inclined initially to purchase the Byjus course for my child, now I am sure its not the right decision.
From 10:20 whatever you said was extremely right. It made me cry because exactly same thing happened to me in my first job.. i was told that i will get 35-40k per month salary. I was a big introvert That's why i don't used to talk much with anyone and also it was my first job so I didn't know what kind of attitude is needed to work in front of an abusive manager and toxic working environment. So what happened was i joined the company and then i was almost abused by my manager everyday even though i was the one who was the most hardworking employee in that office.but because I was introvert and so the manager started putting pressure on me because he thought this guy doesn't talk or interact with anyone he is not productive. And for that reason i only got 20k salary that too after 40 days after joining the company because they used to keep a gap of 10 days for paying salary after every month. The other employees were hardcore extroverts so they used to express that they are doing too much work. And in that company no employees were given proper training because from manager to every other employee it was a kind of work which requires new skills. So the probability of mistakes was too much. But but but guess who was blamed for these mistakes yes it was me, always.. i can't even tell how many times that manager abused my mother sister😞 but i had to somehow stick with job because i bought a bike on installments because my home was 37kms away from office and i live in a village. And the other major reason was that i couldn't afford to leave that toxic job because all my relatives and neighbours knew that i have started doing work and earning 40k per month (which i was told by the manager) which is considered very good salary in rural areas even though i was only getting 20k in reality. Once when i was going home from work and stopped alongside the road cried there even thought to commit suicide because i was abused and even threaten to lose my job because of some girl's mistake. Somehow i console myself because it will only make my mother father sister life like hell. So somehow i kept working there for a few months until i got a very good work from job. i am getting 25k which is more then enough for me.. my 3500-4000rs which i used to spend on petrol is also being saved now. And wasting 2 hours up down to the office also. And the cherry on top is in this job you get a holiday on Saturday also. And the other 5 working days are also like half holidays because there is not much work and pressure and it's a stable job. So whoever is reading this i just want to let them know just have patience and give your best you will surely get what you deserve just work hard and smart 🙏
Congrats Pranjal on making this video and speaking on BYJU's practices. I remember a decade-and-half ago, there was an institute called IIPM, which had its branches in various cities of India, and which used to claim that it in the league of top IIMs (IIM A, B and C), whereas its centers were running out of small compounds. It used to employ same bullying tactics against those who voiced out their concerns about IIPM. Ultimately, after a few years and some lawsuits, Indian government and the Department of Education took cognizance of it and banned IIPM. 'You reap as you sow'.
The root of the problem is "In India every parent wants his child either a doctor or a software engineer...nothing else". Coaching mafia knows this very well.

Well said brother, and yes it's a complete scam these days happening in education field & converting it into a business. Self Confidence and Right Path will lead to the Desired Success in Life....
This company came to my college for placement 2.5 years ago. They recruited 4 students with 10L package. I was very sad at that time because I didn't got placed. Currently I am software engineer with 8.5L package and very work friendly IT company where everything is chill. I am very glad that I didn't got placed in Byju's after hearing those 4 students story. They were getting too much pressure from managers.
I realised this quite early and gladly rejected the 8,00,000 rs. job twice after clearing the interview. The traditional sales model never convinced me. The product has no different moat than other ed tech startups. And the company will soon fail when the bad press makes sales go awry.
Respect! Yes it really takes a lot of courage and honesty to raise a voice against them specially with your main channel. My deepest gratitude. Thanks for sharing this 🙏

In this video he explains 500 % true story......There is no need of EdTech company .... parents have to understand this
Instead of spending lakhs on these courses, just spent 30min on weekdays and ask your child to explain what he/she learnt today in their own way. This is the way more effective and efficient than those courses.
I gave an interview for an edtech company and got selected. Went in for my first day and people there were so emotionless and inhumane- Didn't go back there lol
Thank you sir for addressing this issue. Even their one of the representatives tried to convince us also, as I am also a teacher I don't think any such course can substitute a teacher . We decline their offer. God bless you .

Another important point here is, these edtechs invest so much in highly sophisticated animations to help students understand the concept in 3D and all, students’ brains become lazy to unconsciously visualise it and enjoy (so called) education like fast food. I still remember how my geography teacher explained me in 90s the moon’s phases with practical in classroom by making few of standing and making role play of Sun, earth and moon.

Pranjal Kamra sir, your effort is really commendable. This video is completely an eye-opener for many Indians. I live in Haryana, which is hundreds of kilometres far from your location but I can feel the honesty lies in you. Thanks for making us aware.
Very Good content Sirji. Hats off to your guts for standing against the shame less corporate culture. But then where is this model not replicated in today's world Sir? This is ubiquitous. Organizations change but this culture remains same. In whichever company the growth is pointed vertical, the story is the same inside. May it be New Private Sector Banks, Life Insurance Companies, Mutual Fund AMCs, Automobile Sector and the list is endless. Undue pressure to the employees, fear or losing one's job - employee tends to do wrong selling. It is the Management behind the employee putting undue pressure and making him/her to do wrong selling. Management very well knows that their putting pressure will lead to wrong selling and that is what they want. In case of any complaint, they can simply fire the employee stating that he/she has done mis-selling or wrong selling. Greed of growing fast and making money is not only costing physical & mental health of employees and customers but also is causing damage to the ecology. More growth, more production; More production, more raw material; More raw material, more destruction to the nature. Consumption which should have happened in 10 years ideally, if it happens in 1 year implies we are devastating the nature in 1 year which should have taken 10 years time. But no one is concerned. Everyone's primary objective is earning money by whatever means. Consumption should be requirement based and should not be a forced consumption. Forced consumption leads to faster destruction of nature. In my childhood, maintaining a car was a status symbol and no ordinary employee was able to afford. No thanks to the Banks but now almost any employee who earns bare minimum salary can maintain a car. Noise pollution, emission of poison into the air, traffic, accidents and what not. Some times when we go and look on the roads, we can feel the madness. If one thinks with all good intentions, he/she become insane in the society. He will be blamed of not competing with others and will be labelled as inefficient. The pain is endless. However from the bottom of my Hear, I congratulate you and appreciate your dare for speaking publicly on one such Company. You are Great Sir. Hats Off. Keep on education please....Humble Request of mine.
The last words were literally true and everyone must get awareness about this thing... Company plays many strategic techniques but Parents must be extra careful when they are under pressure. The decision must be taken wisely by them... The decision must not be taken by simply taking in consideration of the society..

I refused buy byju's products, they offered me 60000 rs/- course for just 6 year old kid.

Thank you for exposing this sham. As a new parent, I am concerned about my child's education but will never ever be part of such a predatory model.
Enroll your kid in coding from 3 years age if you want him to earn 2 LPA
This makes me feel thankful to my mom who took my tuitions herself. Parents really don't need tech to teach their kids (except maybe for research and stuff) just inculcate discipline and let the kids study themselves. Sad so know so many edu tech companies are making profit off this.

Taking loans in customers' names without their knowledge is a criminal offence. We are with you Sir and let us know we will give you all the backup you need.
Such company hardly can get listed in US. They easily get many litigation.

Where you are working right now?
Congrats Pranjal on making this video and speaking on BYJU's practices. I remember a decade-and-half ago, there was an institute called IIPM, which had its branches in various cities of India, and which used to claim that it in the league of top IIMs (IIM A, B and C), whereas its centers were running out of small compounds. It used to employ same bullying tactics against those who voiced out their concerns about IIPM. Ultimately, after a few years and some lawsuits, Indian government and the Department of Education took cognizance of it and banned IIPM. 'You reap as you sow'.

Instead of spending lakhs on these courses, just spent 30min on weekdays and ask your child to explain what he/she learnt today in their own way.

Heart warming and very good. ❤️😀
