me and my friend collided being stupid around a parking lot and he dropped his bike and it ended up being bent, thankyou for this video mate helped us out big time
Just dropped my bike. I’m not as strong as I thought. I couldn’t get it back upright and bent pedal. I was wondering how to take it off and fix it. I’m hoping there isn’t damage to the gears or shift linkage behind it. Good job. I’m grateful I didn’t get too hurt.
I have this issue with my Harley sportster. I’m a bit weary about this because the shifter is cast metal of some kind and I fear it will snap if I start hammering on it. What material would you say yours made of if I may ask?
Dropped my bike on a hill… bent the shift lever but luckily had a spanner handy. I was able to brute force it back a little to be functional, but it’s still not perfectly straight 🥲

We’ve all been there mate. Don’t stress. I hope this video helps you get back on track 👍
I just went into a car at about 25mph 😅now my bike shifters bent 😂
Was it shifting correctly even though it was bended??
Yes. There was nothing wrong with the linkage. Just the lever itself was bent so that it couldn’t be moved into gear
@@NorthOz same lol, my bike tipped over and it bent
It must be common given the response from the community 😊

Best video I’ve ever seen, no doubt
ok
I can’t find the C you were talking about. I have a Yamaha R3
Could be different in other brands. Look for where the lever joins and see if you can loosen it to release the lever
As if you wouldnt take it off the bike and put it in a vise lol
Woah woah woah what do I look like a mechanic??
Good one.
Hi everyone! This video should’ve gone up earlier, but there was an issue with the uploading. Have a great week 😁

Nice shoes 😂
Haha definitely not a “grab whatever shoe is closest” job
