    If you're watching this I'm sorry that you went down. It really does suck. But I'm glad that you're in good enough shape that you're looking to fix your bike back up.

      Appreciate it👍, kinda went sliding at 120 mph on my r6 somehow the frame sliders saved my whole bike and gear saved me. But that lever is completely bend!

    Just changed mine on my Suzuki SV650. Looks like the exact same shifter as mine. Smooth sailing . But that goofy ring is hard as hell to take off‼️ I never knew it was that easy to replace the shifter coming from someone who goes to my older brother for Biker advice . Thanks‼️

    Do you have any idea what size the washer and snap ring are? Mine busted when I low sided, and the lever snapped + those piece went with it. Couldn't find them.

    I have the 1st gen. The shifter and peg are connected. I’m noticing that the shifter sits lower than the original, I’ve tried to adjust it but I bent the rod.

    Hey. Do you know if the middle
    Rod needs to be adjusted to a certain point? I tightened it all the way in and my bike only goes into first gear. No other gear. Should I loosen the rod just enough for it to hold as you said? Is that my issue? Thanks

    • @arabmotorcycle8633
      @arabmotorcycle8633  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, you need to keep adjusting from both ends and try to shift gears until its in the correct position. It has to be balanced between both sides to shift correctly.

    hey I need some advice, I as of tonight followed the steps of this video and changed the gear lever of a 2016 ninja 300 and before I did the bike couldn't find neutral but i could shift to 1st and onwards. (the bike had a stationary drop and that was why the gear lever was being replaced. after replacing the part the bike can only find 1st gear and neutral. what have I done wrong?

    • @arabmotorcycle8633
      @arabmotorcycle8633  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, No it shouldn’t mate. The original part is fixed and it doesn’t move at all and the new one i put on it moves inward towards the foot peg. It has a hard spring that moves only if you place a strong pressure on it, otherwise it doesn’t move

    1 have a stretched z×10r 2005, I was out back riding with buddies and we came along an unexpected sharp turn with no caution signs indicating to us. And we all overshot the turn.
    But since my bike is stretched things were different, I landed in the left lane (no cars nearby) but there was a construction sign hanging off the side of the road of the left lane and my foot connected with it tearing my top foot muscles meaning I can't shift at them moment, my left foot peg was ripped off and my shifter is bent. Still works but I gotta replace it
