@@thesupershinymegagengar2034 There was a thread on twitter that pits different characters from different franchises and ask to see who would win in a fight between them. One of them was Mario & Luigi V.S. Sephiroth, and it blown up into a full-on discussion in which people (somewhat unanomously) agree that Sephiroth get easily wiped by M&L's wacky-ass bros attacks. Eventually it spawned many art, videos, and more and it became a popular meme for some time.
At this point I just imagine Tim is waiting outside Emile’s door and when he says “I’m calling in the Tim” Tim kicks the door down a giant gust of wind enters the room there’s a strong light illuminating Tim from the background as he’s standing at the door and Tim slowly lowers his glasses a big grin on his face as he enters saying nothing but “my turn”
"Man, winter semester finals have me stressed harder than I've been in ages. Maybe an episode of Chuggaaconroy will help me relax." *literally the most stressful challenge BIS offers* "I may have miscalculated."
@@jasonkeith2832Pocket chomps, trampoline, copy flower and mix flower. All of these can be done infinitely with great timing Edit: we could also count red shell or not count ice flower; I'll leave that up to you. Edit 2: removed green shells and elemental flowers from the list.
@@MarceloKatayama It's been a while since I last played PiT, but I thought green shells were limited, but red were infinite? I forgot about pocket chomps. Neither element flower are infinite, and mix flower is mechanically infinite, but caps damage.
@@jasonkeith2832 Element flowers are infinite. Look at the tas and you'll see that the time is uncapped, but you need to have frame perfect inputs. Didn't know about the mix flower having capped damage. Green shells, as far as I know, are infinite damage. The only difference with respect to reds is that they don't switch targets once one has been eliminated.
@@Willardwood-p And we also got Bowser inflation when the Boos were making him eat all the food in Bowser's- oops, I mean BOWSER CASTLE. ...Why did they call it that? Just say _Bowser's_ Castle.
I love finishers, but I definitely do agree that the Magic Window in 3DS was badly nerfed. 11:39 Chuggaa pops off so hard that Tim forgets how to finish his sentence
It's kind of a bummer, but I think it's moreso a balancing thing. Speedrunners probably abuse the hell out of that. I always found Magic Window to be kind of... cheap feeling. To have a theoretical way to deal infinite damage in a single turn just feels like cheating, imo.
I almost wish the option to use either one was there, because the infinite one is more fun and satisfying to play, but the limited one is better for balancing and I do like the visuals and that finisher
How is managing to gain the skill to do a potentially difficult attack to the point of opness cheating? Like I haven't played this game myself but knowing other action command games and just based on watching them this gets hard. You also have to balance time for the command vs time to defeat without doing all the health in a single turn. I do understand balancing, albeit in a single player game it gets iffy for me since you know Singe Player, but I've never understood calling something the devs themselves put in the game, and not like as a cheat code or dev code, cheating. Definitely not negating your own feelings! This is just me curious about someone else's perspective! (It's also both an optional move, and if you get good you can alwas just artificially cap it yourself which makes me wanna understand further. I like learning about other people's views and ways of seeing things.) @zacharylandrum4789
Adding in easy infinites makes the whole challenge aspect Emile has been going on about completely meaningless. It’s clear he can’t decide if it’s too easy or too long, and this is a prime example. This whole playthrough has been pretty trivial difficulty-wise with the Challenge Medal giving tons of easy coins since nearly the start of the game, the Daredevil Boots making normally tough enemies into nothing so long as you dodge, and even just the level curve and the insane amount of beans annihilating any reasonable stat totals. For all that he’s gone on about them making the remake too easy, there hasn’t been a single sniff of challenge in this version either since the few times he has been KO’d has been when there’s ample revives on hand and enough cash to buy hundreds more. I mean, the whole complaint about the memory boss fight was meaningless considering he beat both the normal and X versions effortlessly here anyway. Making them weaker in the remake means nothing if they were never difficult in the first place. It just cuts the fat. As someone who played through the Yakuza series, I’m reminded a lot of Yakuza 5 and one of the 4 playable characters having a move that essentially looped every boss in the game with a basic combo and ended with a guaranteed knockdown. It was an early unlock, had no cost to use, and could literally loop every single boss in the game that the character unlocking it fights to the point that I, with no experience optimizing whatsoever, beat the final boss with no effort on hard. And honestly? These sorts of borderline exploits really ruin the experience for me, especially in RPGs where there’s incentive to skip through long fights if you’re invested in the story. If I get the option to finish a fight instantly and I want to get through the story, there’s no reason to use weaker tactics just to wade through a fight you can beat instantly, and that immensely upsets me. Things like the Magic Window are my biggest gripe because, while they give the big numbers that make you feel good, they make the entirety of a game’s combat and enemy design worthless to anyone who wants to use optimal strategies. There’s no reason you’d ever see most of the game after unlocking it, and that defeats the purpose of even adding it to the game in the first place. It feels grating to me to hear someone like Emile act so negatively about the most broken attack in the game being made reasonable when he outright stated that his biggest gripe with his favorite boss was that it ended too quickly in the remake. TL;DR : I think that the original Magic Window is horribly designed and trivializes the game and everything in the fights thereafter. Infinite damage attacks that just require some practice to easily make entire boss fights moot take away from the game as a whole.
If we're thinking about the same Superboss, they actually negate every Bros. Attack you used against them for a few turns. Still proves your point though.
When Chugga mentioned honkai star rail, while I was playing honkai star rail made me freeze ngl 😂. I had to do a double take to make sure I wasn't hearing things
"You know what they say: When fate closes a door, luck opens a window, and karma deactivates the alarm system." (Sam, Poker Night at the Inventory 2, 2013)
I think the reason for the magic window rework is because they didn’t want people to beat bosses in one turn with magic window, and that they were done with infinite hit moves, I think it was a stupid change but I think that maybe they thought it was too overpowered
Yeah, I actually don't like Magic Window because it's overpowered. I remember doing that attack on a boss and I was disappointed that I beat in two turns. I like seeing what the bosses does and how to counter them.
@@chugga I definitely get the logic behind what you are saying about Magic Window in the DS original, but I feel like that once you master it, it trivializes literally every boss in the game since you can theoretically kill them in one turn. To me, that just doesn't feel very fun since you're basically not playing the game as intended at that rate. And since your big complaint about the 3DS remake is that you can kill the bosses in one turn, it just feels strange that you're critiquing the 3DS version for that when you can do pretty much the same thing here in the DS original. Besides, with how strong you can make Mario and Luigi in this game, I'd argue you don't need any infinite attacks to sweep a boss (at least the ones that are not superbosses). With the right equipment and tactics, it's possible to do that without Magic Window, even with the Challenge Medal equipped.
13:16 Am I missing something? I’m counting 5 for Chugga and 3 for Tim. Chugga’s wins: -Green Shell -Jump Helmet -Super Bouncer -99 Block -Magic Window Tim’s wins: -Yoo Who Cannon -Goomba Storm -Koopa Corps
I'm pretty sure Magic Window being infinite is a reference to Partners in Time having a majority of it's bros attacks being infinite attacks, more reason to bully the remake
@@dis.astyr01d You are technically correct! The best kind of correct. Both autodefenestration and self-defenestration are eligible terms to refer to the act of throwing yourself out of a window.
That's interesting, in German window is fenster, it's probably related because english is just French and German poorly smooshed together, with a pinch of other languages here and there
And much like Super Bouncer and the Special we're getting this episode : a Misinput in the 3DS can count as +1. Example : At 29, miss the input, score will be at 30.
It isn't just Magic Window that was nerfed. In the Superstar Saga remake, Knockback Bros. was nerfed the same way, you can no longer do infinite damage with it, instead, like Magic Window in the BIS remake, you do a fixed amount of damage and then a big finisher at the end. I believe other moves like Chopper Bros. also shared the same fate. I guess they didn't want to make it so that you can beat bosses in one turn.
To be fair, Super Knockback Bros now attacks multiple enemies in turn of dealing approximately the same damage as regular Knockback Bros, effectively giving the attack a different utility from the original game.
@@NerdyChocolateLabradoodle True, and this CAN be useful in a lot of circumstances. But then there are instances where you would WANT to aim for one specific target. Like in the final boss fight against Cackletta. Literally all I want to do is to focus on her heart when it gets exposed, so that means Knockback Bros., an attack that works great on the heart in the original, is no longer useful if you only want to attack one specific target. I wish they could have given an option whether or not you want to attack all or one target.
The Spin Pipe is much more worthy of being the 5th Special Attack instead of the Super Bouncer, mostly because you can get it before that dumb ball. It does a ton of targeted damage that continues to the next target after a death similar to the Green Shell. It can also come in handy for both the Wisdurm and Bowser Memory fights if you go out of your way to pick it up pre-Energy Hold. And hey, it’s the easiest Cholestroad challenge to do, so free gear. You’re not required to head to Plack Beach until Bowser gets locked up, but the fact that you can go there and grab it earlier is really cool (and guess who didn’t know about it on his first playthrough)
I went directly to plack beach and got it and 3/4 of the beans twas mighty useful until late game, even then it had it's fair share of uses, i'd think it's one of the more useful ones
Also worth pointing out that you can immediately get this attack before fighting Wisdurm once bowser recruits his koopa squad you can switch to the bros & explore the overworld get to this sidequest afterwards you are only limited to get 2 of his puzzle sacks the other two you won’t get after Mario’s learned the balloon ability regardless of hacking this is definitely way superior over super bouncer the effects are identical & your better off doing more damage with Spin pipe in long term ❤😊
yes, The Spin Pipe does loads more damage then the Super Bouncer, and it does go to another target like the green shell however you have to use your brain at 100% power to get any excellent with big amounts of damage and that's the downside you have to remember who's on the bottom and press either A or B and the pipe will juke you out thinking it'll be A but it's actually going to be B, it's random but does good damage and has a reasonable cost of 10sp
@ dude its so simple just watch where one of the brothers are & if you figure out which one is press the button it does get slightly faster but its really not that difficult to get the excellent it’s one of those cases where my vision reacts of how much I concentrate but any background noises i hear it easily ruins my concentration i mess up in the process but Magic window is so so difficult to master after I get the excellent rating I either keep the rhythm or mess up completely even with all that practice in the challenge it’s ridiculously fast ironically way faster than the challenge itself once you get the excellent rating literally speeds up like it’s nothing it does stink it got majorly nerfed in the remake but it doesn’t discouraged me even with all the flaws compared with the OG I enjoyed the heck out of it being one of my 3ds games people just have bad taste for Mario & Luigi games chugga is no different than IGN when talking about brothership as far as im concerned 👎🏻☠️

@@zacharylandrum4789 Yeah, I believe I saw that tweet as well, and I completely understand where he’s coming from on not wanting to play Persona 5 here. It’s an experience for the most part.
So back when I first played BIS as a child, I LOVED the Spin Pipe. I've always had fantastic eyesight, so I seldom botched using it and actually prided myself on constantly getting Excellents with it, no matter how fast the Pipe spun. 10 years later, while playing the remake and having lost my copy of the original game for an-almost-as-long period of time, I legitimately was able to FEEL how much slower Spin Pipe got. I'd defend the remake on a bunch of other stuff, but it was nowhere near as satisfying as I remembered it being.
That's because in the remake it only strikes 5 times instead of 8 during battles. It will go incredibly fast in the Cholesteroad just like the original.
I think my favorite part of this video was that you guys deciding to "tag in" when it's time to switch turns. Something about that sound was so satisfying :P it's been a blast having that element of the two of you taking turns to pass these mini game challenges
Seeing you do all these challenges with Tim makes me want to see you guys do a co-op game for this channel, I know there's TRG (but that's on hiatus until further notice), but I'd like to see just the 2 of you tackle a game just for fun or play a mario party board as a bit of fun filler while you prepare for your next lp.
He didn't. The calculation was off. Emilie has 5 wins to Tim's 3. There's still time for Tim to catch up but we'll find out the next challenge video if he will.
These episodes when Tim stands in to help with the bros challenges reminds me of that roadtrip when my sister & I were both playing GBA Metroid Fusion. She’d promptly hand me her gameboy when she encountered a boss. Mind you we were both adults at the time too…😝
Similar episode happened with my brother and M&L Partners in Time! As two little kids with only one DS, we played for the whole game as a tag team. I, the eldest, was better at bros attacks, especially button mashing and timing jumps. He, the youngest, had faster reaction times and could dodge with consistency. So it was like being ourselves the Mario bros, with me dishing the damage, and my bro preserving the HP! And when defeating a boss, we'd high five. I remember this fondly as if it were yesterday :3
Now that we're both adults, we noticed we kept this difference in skills as gamers. Sometimes we dust an old copy of our favorite Mario Party, and each of us fares better at certain minigames than others. But generally speaking, we're evenly matched! And it feels great to be able to enjoy playing games togheter into adulthood. I wish you and your sister the best in life!
@ yeah, I see her only periodically. I’m in Florida and she’s in the DC area. Back in the day, we also had long grudge matches playing Rampart on the SNES for hours. Such a great multiplayer game that most have forgotten about…
Yeah I agree Chugga I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MAGIC WINDOW it helped me to beat a certain boss that's WAY later in this game series (you know the one Chugga it's a optional boss at that) and WOW I did almost 3k damage with the Dare devil socks almost
Inside This Episode: KUZZLE! It's time for what is surprisingly one of my favorite parts of the game; Kuzzle's puzzles! There's just something so nice about doing these jigsaw puzzles and listening to the old man talk that always makes me want to do them all as soon as I get the chance...jigsaw puzzles will always be one of my favorite pasttimes. Unfortunately, our prize for doing the first puzzle, the Spin Pipe, I don't find nearly as enjoyable. Every time I've tried to use the thing, I just get completely lost and forget which bro is on which side, which makes the attack difficult as hell to use. A shame, Kuzzle, if you gave us a bros attack I loved then you'd easily be the absolute best part of the game for me. Now you're just one of the best parts.
my approach for the spin pipe is similar to the one chuggaa advised for the yoo who cannons; lock in on where one specific bro is and keep your eyes on him only. a-ranked the challenge node for it in one go with that outlook, kept my eyes on only where luigi was and just pressed buttons accordingly
@@porqupyne1493I have a similar strategy. 1. Start with your thumb over A and watch Mario’s side. 2. If the side you’re watching is on the top when it stops, move your thumb to the other button. 3. When the pipe starts spinning again, keep your eye on the side that just hit. 4. Repeat from step 2 The only time I mess up is when I think I’ve made a mistake and try to correct it, only to discover that I was right in the first place.
We're so close to my favorite Bros Attack due to how ridiculous it looks. We're gonna be sending shockwaves through the Mushroom Kingdom through the power of EATING! Bowser, look out. An eating challenger approaches... and his name is Luigi!
Funny thing about Kuzzle that was added _In Da Remake._ In Bowser Jr's Journey, Kuzzle shows up, having adopted an amnesia stricken Iggy Koopa, thinking Iggy to be his Grandson. I wish I was kidding XD
@magicfish8213 The side story with Bowser Jr is honestly the only thing I boot this remake up for. I know some people don't like the gameplay, but the story is really good.
Chuggaa, mentions HSR; Me; Dewdrop is awesome. I typically use abundance builds with my Firefly team in Divergent Universe. I’m also partial to Hunt builds with my Feixao team. The new update just came out and I’m excited for more new content.
I always preferred Magic Window over a certain endgame attack yet to be seen in this LP. I was always fascinated by the idea of using portals to constantly attack opponents, and it was incredibly satisfying to KO superbosses using just one Magic Window after practicing it when it goes ridiculously fast.
Fun fact magic window is not infinite damage. I saw a video of someone using a tool to input the button commands on frame one and eventually the attack does just end
Funny that Kuzzle was the original sage with the second star cure before giving it to Bowser, meaning we have two McGuffin-holding sages in the same area and in fairly close proximity no less.
I like to think Magic Window pays homage to the Bros attacks in Partners in Time in a way. Not only is it dropped by the Shroobs, but it's also the only attack in this game that keeps going until you miss an action command or defeat all the enemies in battle, where Partners in Time had a good handful of attacks that also kept going until you missed a command or won the fight (Trampoline and Copy Flower especially come to mind here!). It's a super cool attack!
never thought chugga would play a game like star rail. I kinda want chugga to play through a hoyoverse game because I really like his way of formating his resarch.
Magic Window has always been my favorite as well. I loved the trampoline from Partners in Time so I'm very used to the tunnel vision Magic Window gives me! As I watch I've been sitting here mentally playing going "A, B, AB, A, A..." feeling myself get into it still, haha.
It's obvious why they removed it in the remake, having an infinite move completely trivializes every encounter and means you won't ever use any other action. Its the same reason they removed the insta win moves from superstar saga. They want people to experience the game.
Here's a fun fact that's so obscure I haven't seen ANYONE mention it on the Internet: Magic Window isn't infinite against regular enemies. It goes on for a VERY long time, but it can eventually run out. It's super impractical to have happen, but eventually the attack just stops. You basically need to fight really tough enemies as soon as you can with as low POW as possible, and even with the Challenge Medal you're way more likely to just kill everything or eventually fail. But I will say I actually liked the nerf in the remake. The problem with the original Magic Window was that it made most of Class 7 a test of how long you could keep going with Magic Window, as five out of seven battles could be done in one turn. Six theoretically, but realistically not. Fun, but not exactly balanced, and super easy to get as the door code is the same every time and the Shroobs aren't the toughest boss around.
Another day to mention that the Gall Socks, able to be bought inside Bowser, complements well with the Daredevil Boots. Equip the socks to Luigi and boots to Mario, and it basically makes Mario more able to survive since enemies and even bosses are much more prone to targeting Luigi. Slapping more defensive gear on Luigi also helps him stay alive really nicely! I know Emile mentioned in a past episode that it takes a bit for him to respond cause he records alot of stuff in advance. Still, i hope he looks into this! In other news, Hi Emile! Love what you do! Been watching since Wind Waker! ❤
I actually don’t mind the magic window change, it got to the point where it was impossible to even press an input. It would likely do the same amount of damage anyways.
Magic Window is definitely one of my favorite special attacks of the Mario and Luigi games. It’s an improved Copy Flower from Partners in Time. I like it so much on my last playthrough of this I 1st tried this challenge. In the remake I won’t deny the attack not being endless was disappointing. And I enjoyed the remake a lot. I think I like a few attacks more from PiT and DT. (And I haven’t beaten PJ yet but I’m working on that as we speak) One of my LEAST favorite to master is the Spin Pipe. That was the hardest Mario and Luigi challenge in this game. It wasn’t close. I never beat Goomba Storm as a kid and only saw it done after 2 weeks of practice with a friend a few months ago, and I’m a full grown adult now with far better gaming skill. Spin pipe was more than a month as a kid because blinking wrong was so INSANELY important to not do. And hyper focusing on the right part of the pipe when it all blurs from not blinking was EVIL. I have it down now but kid me and teen me NEVER stood a chance. I did it ONCE on sheer guessing a 50/50 30 times in a row. Now I CAN focus on it correctly without losing track. But not going to lie, Spin Pipe’s downgrade in the remake was actually appreciated for me because it was SUCH a headache. Like an UNREASONABLE headache. I think these are my favorites from each game: SS: Thunder Bros adv. PiT: Red Shell or Trampoline BiS: Magic Window (but super bouncer is unironically gaining ground for me no matter what people say. It and daredevil boots are a CRAZY combo) DT: Jet Board Bash (and there’s a LOT of competition.) PJ: I like the rocket and the kite but I haven’t gotten far enough to judge the rest yet. And I’m waiting for my brother to beat Brothership. But he’s saying his praises.
With chuggaa being the Earthbound fan he is, it doesn’t surprise me that he knows of Undertale. I feel like most Earthbound fans are also Undertale fans as well.
Honestly...I don't mind the remake change. It honestly makes the move better. But, we also need to have the whole "REMAKE BAD!" mentality in this LP... 16:44 HOLY SHIT, EMILE PLAYS STAR RAIL?!
Chugga thank you for everything you have done with your let’s plays like this is coming from the bottom of my heart you helped me make friends through talking to one person about super Luigi galaxy that if it weren’t for that one conversation I would have the friend group that I have today and I am glad you are doing a lp on my favorite Mario and Luigi game of all time I also suffered with the hp only curse of this game but I always found it fun you also made me a huge fan of puns and of xenoblade thank you for being you man and can’t wait for more Mario and Luigi bowser’s inside story
I honestly think the change to Magic Window in the remake makes lots of sense. Ever since Dream Team, they’ve stopped making infinite lasting Bros. attacks. It’s the same reason why they nerfed Super Knockback Bros. in Superstar Saga’s remake. It’s to make the moves not broken
Which is perfectly reasonable and serves as one of many examples so far where I've come to just pause the video and skip ahead every time I hear the words "in the remake."
I disagree, it doesn't make sense to remove it in a game that your ment to have an infinite attack, and that Infinite power is locked behind a skill gate, and if it really needed a nerf that badly in a single player RPG where it's an optional move tucked out of the way, they should have done what they did for power bounce in the ttyd remake and make it get harder faster instead of making it easier and then limiting it

@@scarymeunster9095 Nice opinion

What does it want now?
I think the reason for the magic window rework is because they didn’t want people to beat bosses in one turn with magic window, and that they were done with infinite hit moves, I think it was a stupid change but I think that maybe they thought it was too overpowered
Yeah, I actually don't like Magic Window because it's overpowered. I remember doing that attack on a boss and I was disappointed that I beat in two turns. I like seeing what the bosses does and how to counter them.
And then they turned down the difficult so far down you can take out bosses in one turn anyways
I get the logic, but the move is so hard to master, I kind of feel the player has earned it if they can pull it off.
It's more difficult in battles than the Cholesteroad. In battles I can maybe get half a dozen Excellents at best, but in the Cholesteroad I got 999.

@@harrisonho8934 Well, at least there’s still Cyclone Bros, and Super Chopper Bros.

I found the damn ball easier to excellent than that stupid pipe!

I always loved the idea of optional bros attacks. Getting Magic Window and Spin Pipe back in the day felt special.
That's because in the remake it only strikes 5 times instead of 8 during battles. It will go incredibly fast in the Cholesteroad just like the original.

How long did this take you to comment!?
Holy shit talk about commitment
@@D4Nesquickster It's just a copy and paste from my Notepad.
@
Oh okay, I’m glad you didn’t somewhat tire out your fingers typing out this comment
Inside This Episode:
KUZZLE!
& Chugga once again ignoring the puzzle music which makes me sad
@@porqupyne1493I have a similar strategy.
1. Start with your thumb over A and watch Mario’s side.
2. If the side you’re watching is on the top when it stops, move your thumb to the other button.
3. When the pipe starts spinning again, keep your eye on the side that just hit.
4. Repeat from step 2
The only time I mess up is when I think I’ve made a mistake and try to correct it, only to discover that I was right in the first place.
We're so close to my favorite Bros Attack due to how ridiculous it looks. We're gonna be sending shockwaves through the Mushroom Kingdom through the power of EATING!
Bowser, look out. An eating challenger approaches... and his name is Luigi!
Anyone still remember "we're the runawayniacs, and we let's play while at PAX"? Never got that out of my head
Funny thing about Kuzzle that was added _In Da Remake._ In Bowser Jr's Journey, Kuzzle shows up, having adopted an amnesia stricken Iggy Koopa, thinking Iggy to be his Grandson. I wish I was kidding XD
Now i wanna play the remake
@magicfish8213
The side story with Bowser Jr is honestly the only thing I boot this remake up for. I know some people don't like the gameplay, but the story is really good.
Chuggaa, mentions HSR;
Me; Dewdrop is awesome. I typically use abundance builds with my Firefly team in Divergent Universe. I’m also partial to Hunt builds with my Feixao team. The new update just came out and I’m excited for more new content.
Magic window is the favourite younger brother of the trampoline from PiT.
I always preferred Magic Window over a certain endgame attack yet to be seen in this LP. I was always fascinated by the idea of using portals to constantly attack opponents, and it was incredibly satisfying to KO superbosses using just one Magic Window after practicing it when it goes ridiculously fast.
Funny that the Partners in Time enemies give an "infinite" move like Copy Flower or Trampolines
A lot of those were fun, but I believe needed better balancing.
2:58 Tim was off by 13,082 coins.
6:44 Persona 5 Royal Reference
Fun fact magic window is not infinite damage. I saw a video of someone using a tool to input the button commands on frame one and eventually the attack does just end
I figured it was like that since I'd always fail at some point during normal battles, but managed to get to 999 in the Cholesteroad.
@ yeah chlosteroad functions differently from normal fights obviously so different rules. But against a boss it will end at some point
Can't wait for the Compilation of You & Tim's *at-Tim-pts* at the M&LBIS Minigames for Cholesteroad & Broque Madam.
2:20 “We have to prostrate ourselves.” Fucking Tim 🤣
Funny that Kuzzle was the original sage with the second star cure before giving it to Bowser, meaning we have two McGuffin-holding sages in the same area and in fairly close proximity no less.
13:01 funny how early into the game he was stressing that money was scarce here but now he’s talking about how many “useless” coins he has.
The fact that you 2 have been beating these at all is pure awesome in my book! I NEVER got the A ranks.
wait, CHUGGA PLAYS HONKAI STAR RAIL?? DARN IT I WAS JUST PLAYING IT AND I IMMEDIATELY SHOT MY HEAD UP
I like to think Magic Window pays homage to the Bros attacks in Partners in Time in a way.
Kuzzle currently dealing with the tragic loss of his dear adopted son Charlie, who abandoned him once he had recovered fully.
It's obvious why they removed it in the remake, having an infinite move completely trivializes every encounter and means you won't ever use any other action. Its the same reason they removed the insta win moves from superstar saga. They want people to experience the game.
In this episode, Chuggaaconroy holds too many dogs.
Here's a fun fact that's so obscure I haven't seen ANYONE mention it on the Internet:
Magic Window isn't infinite against regular enemies.
The episodes where Chugga and Tim tag team something (like Cholesteroad) are my personal favorite highlights of the playthrough.
Chuggaa: *Starts struggling on a challenge node*
Chuggaa: Tactical Tim Time
i love it when Tim joins in. it's great to have him apart of the lets play in anyway x3
and you playing toby fox's song for undertale gave me life
Another day to mention that the Gall Socks, able to be bought inside Bowser, complements well with the Daredevil Boots.
Magic Window was absolutely the only reason and way I beat some of the bosses in the game.
(And I haven’t beaten PJ yet but I’m working on that as we speak)
One of my LEAST favorite to master is the Spin Pipe.
I think these are my favorites from each game:
SS: Thunder Bros adv.
PiT: Red Shell or Trampoline
BiS: Magic Window (but super bouncer is unironically gaining ground for me no matter what people say. It and daredevil boots are a CRAZY combo)
DT: Jet Board Bash (and there’s a LOT of competition.)
PJ: I like the rocket and the kite but I haven’t gotten far enough to judge the rest yet.
And I’m waiting for my brother to beat Brothership. But he’s saying his praises.
Just when I thought Chuggaa couldn’t get more based, he is also a HSR enjoyer
hm?
@@TheOrdonianGamer Honkai Star Rail, a game made by Hoyoverse, the same creators of Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero
was not expecting to hear Chuggaa talk about playing Star Rail while I was playing Star Rail.
19:26 Dogsong? So chuggaaconroy has at least heard of Undertale!
It’d be a miracle if someone HASN’T heard of Undertale, at least online. Even the pope has heard of it.
Wasn’t he friends with Toby Fox in high school?
With chuggaa being the Earthbound fan he is, it doesn’t surprise me that he knows of Undertale. I feel like most Earthbound fans are also Undertale fans as well.
In addition to Magic Window, I adore the Bro's attacks in general in this game. Easily one if it's strongest aspects.
Honestly...I don't mind the remake change. It honestly makes the move better. But, we also need to have the whole "REMAKE BAD!" mentality in this LP...
16:44 HOLY SHIT, EMILE PLAYS STAR RAIL?!
2:33 “WALUIGI NUMBER 72!!!-oops-I-mean-27!!!!!”
Okay, in Tim's defense, he was always the second up to bat. In one case didn't even get the chance to try.
I love you and Tim having bro time during a recording
Chugga thank you for everything you have done with your let’s plays like this is coming from the bottom of my heart you helped me make friends through talking to one person about super Luigi galaxy that if it weren’t for that one conversation I would have the friend group that I have today and I am glad you are doing a lp on my favorite Mario and Luigi game of all time I also suffered with the hp only curse of this game but I always found it fun you also made me a huge fan of puns and of xenoblade thank you for being you man and can’t wait for more Mario and Luigi bowser’s inside story
You and Tim have the best chemistry of any duo in gaming
'Ey you play Honkai: Star Rail? One of us! One of us!
I disagree, it doesn't make sense to remove it in a game that your ment to have an infinite attack, and that Infinite power is locked behind a skill gate, and if it really needed a nerf that badly in a single player RPG where it's an optional move tucked out of the way, they should have done what they did for power bounce in the ttyd remake and make it get harder faster instead of making it easier and then limiting it
But that is what makes them fun and proof of your hard work and skill!
If you can do enough magic window to one shot a boss you're already a pro gamer anyways and could probably 2 turn it with several other strategies
Not only that but the move is completely optional it's not something you're normally gonna get unless you purposely go after it. And like you said the moves true Over powered capabilities are only available to you if you basically mastered it.
14:58 Aye! I’m one of those people that told Chugga this last episode! 🤣👋🏻
That be fun to watch, a Persona LP from you.
When one door closes, a window opens!
11:46 “1.21 GIGAWATTS?!”
I can kinda see why they changed Magic Window's gimmick in the 3DS remake...
So it wouldn't be as OP as the original DS counterpart
I will never get tired of this game's minigame music.
I guess I just have an unusual tolerance for repetitive melodies, but it's sooooo good.
Magic Window could be cool as hell in a more complicated fight setting.
Ah, I'm here on time today. Nothing's better than watching a new Chugga video while I'm lying sick in bed. 🙂
unpopular opinion, I really like the Spin Pipes Bros Attack better than Super Bouncer or Magic Window, All you really need to do is focus on 1 of the bro's locations and that's it, it's like a game of Shell
Already knew he was gonna talk about the remake changes lmao
Hahaha, me too! I had a feeling it would happen. Just another reason why we love him, and another reason why we need an "in the remake..." compilation when he finishes this series!
@@CometMedalChavezjokes on you and him. I liked the remake more than the original.
@ I totally respect that. Some people like the new changes the remake made, others don’t and that’s fine.
@@CometMedalChaveznah. It only seems to be me at this point.
@josephbulkin9222 tbh.... I've never played the original lmao. Only ever watched LPs. The remake was the first time I ever played it and I loved it as much as I probably would've loved playing the original. It's still a great game, just doesn't work as a remake is what I've heard most say
17:21 We're going East, then we're going Weast
8:01 Emile falling into the void
9:01 Tim jumping out of it a minute later
Magic Window is one of the most satisfying moves to use.
As someone who just picked up Celeste, the B-side of summit took me just under 3 hours to complete it, and it teaches new movement tech in the last 10 tricks, seeing how long it took to A rank magic mirror makes me realize how hard it truly is to do in person rather than watching it
Honkai star rail is great, the characters are really pretty and the setting is nice
Suprised Chugga would be into it
