Hey Rob, Marco here. Thanks for your captivating and educative reviews! I'm interested in studying environmental science in Australia and Western Sydney University is on my list. Have you ever been to the Hawkesbury campus in Richmond? It's the campus where I would study in case that I enroll at this institution and I'd be glad if you have any info regarding this campus.
Hi Marco, thanks for the message. No I haven’t actually been out to that campus (Western has so many!) That part of the city is right at the foot of the Blue Mountains, so you’ll have close access to a beautiful wilderness area on your doorstep if you study there. I have received an offer letter from WSU paramatta for masters of health science majoring in health management and UOW Wollongong campus, masters of health informatics. Which should I choose considering future employment & job prospects

Sorry, that’s too specific for me. PhDs are highly specialised and depend on many things so you should try to identify some individual researchers you admire or find faculties that are producing interesting research.
The best thing I saw in this video was the sculpture of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of nation of Bangladesh at 5.02 Really proud as a bangladeshi❤️

Is WSU good enough and offers as much opportunities as UQ does? (I mean job offers, courses, extracurricular activities...)
Really depends on your personal circumstances and what's the highest priority. UQ is a stronger uni overall across most of your criteria... except cost of course. So it depends on your personal circumstances as to what extent that is a deal breaker. I believe food tech is on the priority list of disciplines for Australia. Yes, I would to go WSU for that tbh. Imo, always better to be on a full uni campus than a study centre (VU is a Victorian uni, so the Sydney "campus" is more a study centre than a full campus".
Both good unis. Depends if where you want to study - UTS is right in the middle of the city, so very urban and busy. Excellent industry connections and options like overseas study and leadership programs. Great food nearby and transport links. WSU is in the outer city of Parramatta - lovely big open campus and more relaxed vibe. Both programs are accredited so will follow similar study paths. Which one I prefer isn’t necessarily the best thing for you 😁 Each uni has its strengths- you should try to identify the strengths of each uni and how those align with what’s important to you.
I have received an early entry offer from Western Sydney Uni and expecting an offer from Wollongong University aswell, i live in Western Sydney and chose to study a Bachelor of Business for both. I chose the campbelltown campus for western and the liverpool campus for wollongong, The wsu campus looks vastly nicer than the wollongong one but the wollongong university ranking is much higher? whats your opinion?
Great question mate and thanks for the detail. Liverpool is relatively recent for UoW. It’s a satellite campus, not the main game. As such, I personally don’t think you’ll get the full UoW experience there as many of the main services are down in the Gong. Ranking definitely isn’t everything. WSU is a uni that’s improved SOOOO much in the past decade. I think their vice chancellor (the boss of the uni) has done a kick arse job. If it were WSU Parra vs UoW Wollongong I would find the choice harder, but parra vs Liverpool is a win for WSU Parra in my book.
How many campuses do they have? I thought it was just a tall building. Is this the parammata campus near westmead? Can you please tell me what campus this is?
This is the Parramatta main campus, NOT the Parramatta City campus (the tall building). WSU has quite a few campuses, the up to date list is on their website
Here's my unbiased review....I started a 2nd degree at WSU ..........when it was University of Western Sydney UWS. Any Institution that pays 8 million dollars to rebrand themselves by changing the order of three letters is making too much money and more into the economics of busine$$ than the business of knowledge. So Rob forgive me, but are you being remunerated/sponsored or have any other side benefits 🙄from your informative and unbiased reviews ? Maybe 🤏 ?
Nope. Nothing whatsoever. That would be dishonest, wouldn’t it? This channel has cost me tens of thousands of dollars of my own time and money. But I believe it is valuable to students, which is why I’ve continued to do so. Personally I think the WSU brand is much stronger than UWS was. The university is performing better than it was back then too. I know that “branding” seems like a ridiculous waste of money… but that’s the way it works. All major organisations pay huge amounts because it’s not just about changing around a few letters and colours. There is tonnes of research and consultation that goes into it, plus the hard costs of changing over. The uni has an annual budget in the hundreds of millions of dollars. If you had $500 in your wallet, would you bat and eyelid spending $8 on a new shirt to look more contemporary? It’s easy to get hung up on things like rebranding costs but I prefer to look at the positives. WSU is generous with scholarships, offers textbooks and technology to students and is active in the community. Those things rate higher for me than one of costs that every major organisation periodically has to spend to stay current.

Wow!!You have been to kenya?
Yep. Did a few weeks in Kenya and Tanzania in 2009. Would love to head back for a bigger trip!
I'm from the Philippines, my son is applying for a student visa to study in WSU Parramatta, hope it will be granted.
I hope so for you. Our Government has been very unfair with the way they have been approaching international education in the past year.
which campus is this
Parramatta (not Parramatta CBD - they’re not the same thing).
G'day mate, could you please help me find student reviews for Engineering at WSU from the QILT website. Thanks
The website is now at compared.edu.au
