Not because i'm Greek but the opening,and closing,ceremony from my country's olympics were the best until now.Also my two favorite athletes(Yuriy Borzakovskiy,Hicham El Guerrouj)won golds
The Olympic village actually sounds just like a college campus, tons of talent with people hooking up and partying
i heard there is a free flow of sex after their events finish (not before) because almost everyone is guaranteed not to have STD's or HIV
also people in the olympics are very attractive
My guess is that most of the supposed sex going on is by individuals from North America and the western European nations. I would guess that the middle eastern and Asian countries do not participate based on language barrier, religion and social customs.

Only being a 8th grader already makes me so much slower and behind everyone else but after watching all seniors on the team run I picked up something from all of them but the only thing I didn’t was your kick which helped me to be able to beat them through the last 200 meters I just want to thank you for helping become one of the best freshman in the country😁

My friend volunteered in Rio2016 and had access to the Olympic Village as that's where she was assigned. She told me it was a very cool experience!

The good thing about Olympic villages is that they can be converted into affordable housing when the games are over.

usually! It's a fun place to stay. Free food, great athletic facilities to use, new friends, etc :D

That's true 800m is one of the greatest and one of the latest events in Olympics, it's not ideal schedule for hooking up ☺️ in terms of optimal athletic performance.
My ankle and foot operation is over and I’m rehabbing now to walk. On crutches now. Once rehab is over I’ve 3 leg more operations

are the apartment buildings separated by sport, country, or just random?
usually a bit of both. Some countries have very small teams and so there may be multiple countries under one roof
The accommodations at winter games are a lot nicer. At Beijing in 2022 they had smart beds that you could control with a remote, and the rooms were as big as an apartment

As a runner, how do you continue training in the village leading up to your race? Treadmills, the track, can you run in the city?
Yes
They also have training areas and centers

He obviously is understating his knowledge of what went on there. I'd like to see a tad bit more honesty when he said he can't speak for what went on there.
@@creativity.studio4967 Like I mentioned in another of Nick's videos, I was told many tales of the OV antics by participants. This was in the 1980's, things may have changed, but I doubt by much. It was confirmed that people who couldn't even speak each other's language were hooking up, attracted by sheer animal magnetism to each other! And coaches trying to act like chaperones, unsuccessfully.

Sounds like they need a secondary village or segregated area for athletes who've completed their events. You shouldn't have to rent spaces outside of the village in order to stay focused. Surprised this system hasn't been upgraded or modified.
There’s way too many swimming events and the swimmers are assholes that’s the way it is every Olympics. And the dudes fuck everything that moves when they’re done with their events and they stick around the Village for over a week of nothing but partying.

They generally pair athletes from the same sport.

The right training is 10x more important than what you are eating trust me. Stay hydrated and eat food, you don't need to overthink the food, the type of training is more important

Do they turn the village into well an actual village when the games are over?
Yes they can. In ATL GA State university purchased the village as dorms before selling them to GA tech to use for dorms.
In Vancouver Canada, it was transitioned into a typical community where people can live. Although I did hear that the apartments built for the olympians and later sold to residents were built really poorly LOL

Do you have any advice for a high school freshman transitioning from middle to high school track
I'd say focus on trying to adjust to a higher level of competition get ready for harder workouts and long track meets if you're willing to put in the work it's super rewarding and fun I'd recommend training in the off season to get ready for the jump I'm not sure how things are where you are but where I did track the indoor and outdoor high-school seasons usually overlapped so I'd be training and competing from October until June so be ready for a mental drain it's really all mental it boils down to how much you love the sport
