I've never been able to do pushups. Never tried a weighted squat (let alone full body a weight) because I'm lucky I can do normal squats 😂. I can do some pull ups but only with using an assisted pull up bar under my feet and lastly, I definitely cannot run a mile without stopping. I would probably die lol. I've just finally trained up enough go running 500 meters without stopping. But I am trying very hard to be better and get stronger and better. I was at my heaviest weight of 350 pounds back in February. I've gotten down to 272 now and am busting my ass to keep dropping weight and building muscle and endurance so I can one day say I am able go do all these things. I always look forward to your videos Nick because you are always inspiring me to reach my fitness goals.
You are absolutely on the right track!! A huge CONGRATS on losing the weight. Keep up the great work, I PROMISE all of these things are achievable for you with enough training. I AM PROUD OF YOU!

Hey Nick, you should do a video of you and Tom doing the Murphy for time. 1 mile run, 300 air squats, 200 push-ups, 100 pull-ups and 1 mile run to finish off. Great WOD and goodly luck!
Your performances as a pro runner when I was a budding HS and college runner inspired me to be my very best and now with two little ones that’s exactly what your videos are doing for me, Nick! I appreciate all you put out, keep it up!
I can do a pull up, squat my body weight but running a mile if my shine splits and lower right back/hip don’t start acting up I probably can hit the mile.
I think by "squat your bodyweight" he just meant can do a squat, not that you have your bodyweight in weights on your shoulders. 😂 Because I doubt 90% of people can just do a full range squat in general. If it's Asia only, then yeah 90%.
Back in August 2020 I was 41years old I did funny strength/endurance test as one arm one finger chin-up at 85,7kg before breakfast and after light carbs I went to run (5:23) 1500m time trial, probably 90% will not do that? ☺
I feel like by “squat your body weight” they have to mean just a squat without any weight added on, because squatting your body weight on a barbell seems way harder than jogging a mile, or doing 10 push ups, or doing 1 pull up. Maybe it’s just a lot scarier than the others because of how much weight you’re putting on yourself.
Woah, woah, woah, I can also squat way more than my body weight on the bar, and I can only do a couple pull ups without my chin above the bar. You probably have zero experience squatting your body weight. If you can squat with proper form with no added weight and if you can squat with no struggle with no added weight, then you should easily be able to squat your body weight, in my opinion, with little to no training. I feel like a body-weighted pull up and a squat with your body weight on the bar are about just as difficult as each other.
I'm in college right now and as a distance runner throughout all of high school, I always relied on my coaches. However, with the college I am at does not have cross country and I am possibly looking to transfer to a D3 school with T&F in January. What tips do you have for keeping that motivation in and how can I get back to being fit without overworking myself, as I feel as though every time I have been running alone as of recently, I always go too fast or too slow then get mentally and physically gassed out. Any tips you can give me training wise or just tips in general for anything related to that? Anything will help and I will greatly appreciate.
is it weird that I've never been able to do a pull-up no matter how strong I get, for example I can move weight relatively well and I don't weigh that much but I do have like crazy long arms. I just wanna know if I'm the only one or no. luckily its not like that important considering I'm a thrower but I do feel like its weird considering how much I can lift relative to my bodyweight
I wonder how many percent can do the Murph Challenge: one mile, do 100 pull-ups, 200, push-ups, 300 bodyweight squats, and then run another mile while wearing a 20lb vest

how do u have that much time lol

I'm down
Perfect timing. I just got done leading an AA meeting here in sober living. I always enjoy watching your videos 🦾
Love how your videos promote overall fitness!

Might have to try this out myself in a while too! Seems like a fun little simultaneous challenge.
not too hard! fun to go head to head with someone
@@NickSymmondsToo Oh definitely, I'll be timing it against my training buddy for sure. Might have to add some extra pull ups and push ups, though.
@Johnny D No, simultaneous. As in, against a friend, consecutively. Wording was a bit weird, but it definitely wasn't wrong.
These men are inspiring. I’ll be going to the gym tonight.
have a great workout!
I haven't tried squatting with weight, but I can do the other 3.
I feel out of shape cardio wise and I could easily do this challenge. My mile time might not be fast but I can definitely do this
0:06 when you think you’re about to catch someone curling in the squat rack but they are just squatting with the curl bar
I can do a pull up, squat my body weight but running a mile if my shine splits and lower right back/hip don’t start acting up I probably can hit the mile.
You gotta try 10 pull-ups, 10 bodyweight squats, 10 miles and 100 push-ups for time.
One of these is not like the other
@@ThingSomeRandom I would say less people could do 100 consecutive push-ups than any of the other challenges. I already have the others covered.
3 miles, 50 pullups, 100 pushups, 500 body weight squats.
I had a better chance of winning that mile if we were carrying that weight
I think by "squat your bodyweight" he just meant can do a squat, not that you have your bodyweight in weights on your shoulders. 😂 Because I doubt 90% of people can just do a full range squat in general. If it's Asia only, then yeah 90%.
You mean 10%
That's ridiculous
''arch nemesis''
meanwhile u 2 are just the best bestfriends ever
Nick Symmonds is my favorite TH-camr of all time,
1:25 friendly rivalry😉😂
Can definitely do it
I could do that. The part at the beginning where you roll the plates along the track. Not so sure about the rest of it. I guess I need to get busy.
Back in August 2020 I was 41years old I did funny strength/endurance test as one arm one finger chin-up at 85,7kg before breakfast and after light carbs I went to run (5:23) 1500m time trial, probably 90% will not do that? ☺
Nick looks like your app is not available in India :(
The first two things are definitely the most difficult. Can’t do a pull up…yet. And I don’t squat heavy, so doubt I can squat my weight.
Those clapping push-ups were crisp
I feel like by “squat your body weight” they have to mean just a squat without any weight added on, because squatting your body weight on a barbell seems way harder than jogging a mile, or doing 10 push ups, or doing 1 pull up. Maybe it’s just a lot scarier than the others because of how much weight you’re putting on yourself.
Then it becomes too easy? A chin up is hard for most unfit ppl too
A pullup is harder than squatting weight equal to your body weight, 100%.
Definitely means squatting your weight on the bar, I can do more than BW but can’t do pull ups.
Woah, woah, woah, I can also squat way more than my body weight on the bar, and I can only do a couple pull ups without my chin above the bar. A lot of men out there way weaker than micky that have to 200+.
Hey Nick. Just rewatched the 100 mile bike ride video. What app was that you use to track your distance? Any good recommendations for that?

Fitter that 90% ppl.....that includes 1yr olds I'm guessing. Anything for views these days
At last Nick you got some money back, deservedly 🎉
hundred dollars richer!!!
The plate on the back though 😂
FUN WITH FITNESS!!!😃

You might just have less developed back muscles compared to your other muscles, idk tho
What’s your bodyweight/height and how much can you lat pulldown?
Million soon on main channel 🔥🔥
Former olympic runner with that question on the video title just made me wanna write this.
Not that fit no more, so wouldn't be able to do the running, haha but will get back into it tho!
I wonder how many percent can do the Murph Challenge: one mile, do 100 pull-ups, 200, push-ups, 300 bodyweight squats, and then run another mile while wearing a 20lb vest
3 pullups squating my clasmate ( his body weight same as my 5 reps) run 1.5km without pause and do 38 pushups
You may not be stronger than 90% of people but u r stronger than me also pls comment on this nick lol 😂
Is this only in the USA can't see it on play store or app store in UK ?
May be able to use this for a workout. How many times can we do it in an hour?
Cbum in the thumbnail, nice
hey nick, when will you get back to your discord server? Just asking
I’m younger than 10 how can I do that!?
I definitely wouldn't be able to do that doing a pull up and 10 push ups is possible but squatting my bodywaight and 1mile nk rest is impossible
2:37
That's depressing.
I definitely thought the squat meant a squat using only your body weight aka an air squat, though I would hope more than 10% of people can do that.
I think that is what the video meant and they misinterpreted it
I can do this easy
That's what I like to hear!
I haven't been able to run a sub 7-minute mile in 20 years. *sigh*
there’s no way that’s true
As a kid that’s 70 pounds easy dubs
Nice
Did he just squat with the curl bar 💀
Wondering door 24
You remind me of my fysiotherapist
Only 1 I can do is 10 push-ups
Im a 8 year old and i can do that
Wondering door 24 по
Why u told that dude in the dms in the app “ you will never be a good 800 meter runner😭
im only 130 pounds so the squat should be easy
Cruel duck 53
was that cbum in the thumbnail?
You both squatted each other weights. Nick did 225 and his rival did 190
Pineapple on pizza, yes or no?
Did no one notice nick and captain accidentally squatted each others weights
No we did the correct weight. Two different thickness 45s on that bar
Eiur
lmao
You are not....its the harsh truth
First! Can I get a like from nick pls?
Thanks for being early!!
9 minutes so not even close to beating your time haha, still happy about being more fit than 90% of the population tho
