Brilliant episode Barnesy, she is coming along beautifully! Fantastic of Mark to come and give you a hand, well done Mark. You are so close now to finishing. Great job Barnesy.
Thanks Mark, yeah it was a huge help and most likely saved me from some bad mistakes going forward. It's definitely coming together with the polishing.
How good is it when someone is there to demonstrate techniques man - you got some good help there in mark . It’s kinda nice to know that with enough micron build in your clear coat you can flatten any paint job with the finer grits and time carefully rubbing it flat . It’s a bugger ya rubbed thru the base coat on the door but probably a blessing in disguise as not sealing the repairs ( filler & high build ) will always show thru unfortunately and you got to correct that this time round. Stay the course man she’s gonna shine like diamond in the end !
Thanks mate, it is so much easier to be told the right way by someone experienced that's for sure. Yeah my heart sank when I saw that colour bleed over the repairs so now I understand the sealer coat. Each time it all becomes a little easier and faster and looking forward to assembly now!
Some things are real tough when you haven't got moons of trade experience..So you're doing a great job on the way to getting to a top outcome..Keep on keeping on..
Nice one mate Holden lover for ever had a hx Ute,GTS vn ,VT clubby ,hx Belmont v8 ,69 GTS monaro v8 ,threw the years great job ,cheers , shaneo, nelson, nz, 👍🍺
Looking good so far Guys, heres praying those flood waters dont come Up anymore, and your safe and well wishing you all the best 👊👍 Cheers 🍻🍺KC Cradle Mountain Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺😎👍
This was a brutal episode mate, this painting gig takes no prisoners. I painted a couple of guards a month ago to make up my mind on the final colour choice and had enough minor issues, even from that small amount, to question whether I should be attempting it. 😅 But it will be worth it. Hang in there tiger. 🤣
You are doing a fantastic job mate , you will be glad you put in the extra effort to solve your issues, merry Christmas , I wanna see all the panels on the car next 😁
You have put in a huge effort to get this far, it was great to see Mark show you how to denib, sand out runs and polish. You seem to be a perfectionist so it will be a great finished home build. Great video and content. Was the flooding on your property? I hope there wasn't to much damage mate.
Yes I do have the perfectionist curse a little, just trying to get the best result I can get, there is limits though. Yes that was my property, that was the Loddon river, probably 300 metres wide at the flood peak runs straight through the property so took out some fences but nothing serious.
I have hard perspex splines that I use to finish with, I demonstrated them in an episode a while back. They are from melomotive and are about 1 metre long and flexible

I always get so keen when I see you've made a new video, great work mate
Thanks mate👍
I said to myself ''he will re-spray that door'' when you were saying, respraying for a 3rd times would be ridiculous.
Yeah it was the right thing to do after I came to terms with it.😂

Yeah it has been a bit of a hard road, but almost there. If it's a flat colour it will be much easier to get a good result.
