    Hey mate, I’m a complete novice hoping to tackle this kind of thing with my HQ down the track and learned a lot from your video. I like the voice over with the time lapse approach you’ve taken, it’s great getting your commentary as the work is being done. Keep up the good work.

      Glad you enjoyed it. The voice over commentary took me forever to edit 😆

    Nice work. You make it look simple. Guess it makes sense but had no idea those quarter panels had solder in them. Always wondered as a kid if they joined them or stamped them out of one big sheet. Now I know.

    Funny, as I'm watching your video. The WB was only released as a ute?. I don't recall WB models in station wagon or sedan. Just a thought.

    Great video, just wondering what the panel to panel gap height will be like when new rubbers are fitted and latches may need to be adjusted for doors and boot to work properly again..

    • @TheRestoShed
      @TheRestoShed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes mate that is very true. I’ve already been through that with the initial fit up of the panels and have ensured that there will be enough room for the rubbers.
      Doors and strikers will always need some minors adjustments as the car is assembled, weight of the glass/regulators ect.
      In this video I was just focusing on removing the ‘butting’ of the panels ensuring the panels sit flush with one another as much as possible and making the panel gaps more consistent than what they were. 👍🏼🇦🇺

    nice work.....what would be a good guess at time involved to gap car?.......something i will do to mine next year.....really cleans up the look of an old car..

      I spent about 3-4 days going around this one but it was pretty good to start with.
      If I wanted to match everything millimetre perfect to each panel I could have spent another week or two or more. Lol

    What happened to the yellow ute you were showing us how to paint? We need an update please

    • @TheRestoShed
      @TheRestoShed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It’s still there waiting for me. It’s just been far too cold to get any paint on it currently.
