What are your thoughts about Emilio's experience with the 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage? Do you also own one?

I dnt know what others are bitching about this car. It does what it says it will do. It gets you to point A to point B. Fuel economy, hands down. It takes a while from 0 to 60 but hey, it isn't a racing car. So why bother? If you got a couple of thousands to spare, then, buy something else.. But this car is for specific group of buyers.

I got the 2017 G4 GLS variant. Got it used w/ 8k on the odo. It had side skirts, rear garnish, center console and rain visors. Just added dash cam, dashboard covers and roof insulation. With the cars I've driven, pinakamasarap upuan ang bucket seats nya. Matipid at 18kpl paakyat ng tagaytay-mendez from manila and 22kpl pababa. Mabigat pa ang paa ko. Maluwag ang loob pati na din ang likod. Maybe I'd have retinting and sound insulation job done soon.

I own a 2015 model full options. The 2015 model got a lot more sound deadening materials. I drove the 2014 also and the difference is clearly noticeable. I think the car fulfills all my wishes. Just enough space for 4 persons on short trips (Dutch people are the tallest in the world) and a bit of Luggage. Also I wanted a car that could cruise 130 comfortably. Average fuel consumption should be less than 5 liters/100km. It had to be comfy (softish suspension), automatic airco, very stable and good road holding and have CVT. That, it does, and have all. So, I would go as far as saying after 80.000km and 5 years without ANY defect whatsoever, that it is the best car I ever had.

Panalo ang review ni Emilio sa Mirage! Ang galing magbenta. He practically convinced me to get the Mirage over the other hatchbacks in the market.

I've been driving my Mirage GLX for more than 4 years now and I never really had any problem at all. Changed battery, headlights, suspension, and wheels after 3 years. 😁👍 matipid sa gas!

Tumpak na tumpak. I also had the same experience as a fellow mirage owner. For its price, I would consider it to have the best value back in 2012 (or even until 2014) when it was first introduced. Well for the negatives, the engine is really noisy for having a 3-cylinder with timing chain. I think what was not mentioned which adds to the engine noise is the poor gasket material or lack of sufficient mounting points of the engine air intake assembly to prevent it from vibrating a lot and making a lot of rattling noise since the gaskets got easily worn out. Some owners replaced the air intake assembly with after-market cold-air intakes to remedy the problem. Furthermore, the 165 or 175 tires also caused a lot of body roll. I changed mine to 195 but sacrificing fuel efficiency for a more comfortable ride. Lastly, the original horn sounded like that of a motorcycle so I had it replaced with after-market horns.
