I know you said it on a recent video, but I totally agree that these videos (and Hellcast) brought to light a LOT of bands for the Devils to check out over the last years. I FOR SURE became a Hells Headbangers return customer and added MANY new bands to my collection. CHEERS, Brah Brah!
@@justinhorval8491 Thanks for taking me up on the offer to do a giveaway through your channel, Brah! I hope to do more shit like this in the future. I like being able to share the metal spirit.
Sup J Dawg! I’m curious if you would ever make a “best albums of the year” list at the end of the year? Also if you make a Hells head bash please, bring Black Witchery! 👊🏼
Question J Dawg? You ever see any HHR stickers posted in public? Some idiot posted “Jesus Christ Saved Me” stickers on my street so I covered them up with the HH stickers, so they have been put to good use.
I work with a guy that’s into hippy jam bands and stuff, goes to a ton of shows and apparently gets a bunch of free stickers. He randomly had a HHR sticker and didn’t even know what it was or who gave it to him. He knows I listen to metal so he gave it to me and asked me about it. I thought it was really cool, but surprised to say the least lol
For me I just listen to the music and never go to shows for one reason I don't like talking to people In any social setting. Call me a poser but I don't care 🤷🏿♂️
*QUESTION?* Did you ever listen to the *Granulated* demo? It's Aaren Pantke of *Molder* and *Melting Rot* doing a solo project. The demo is badass! I hope Aaren does more of this project!
Hey Jay to the k to the nine sorry you got to deal with that drama from your brother's ex. Hopefully she just leaves you alone. Keep up the good work Channel's badass brother.
In reference to the Glen Benton interview, yeah that interviewer is in the band Suicide Silence, which is some Deathcore nonsense. NO WONDER the man is just now getting to see Deicide.
i'd go back in time and destroy the korn guitarists 7-stringers, i once read that had they lost their guitars that likely would have been the end of the band, because they were just that difficult to come by in the early to mid 90's. no korn, that'd be more than alright in my book.👍
Hey, J-Devil!!! The only racism I see in your channel is against black vinyl hahahahahaha!!! Question: don't you think you're too biased towards Glen Benton? Why give him a pass based on that "I don't listen to Death Metal 'cos I don't wanna be influenced by any other bands" argument? That's the most weak-ass artsy-fartsy statement by someone who doesn't support Metal at all that I've ever heard. That's why I stopped giving a fuck about all these big bands (Carcass, Deicide, Morbid Angel, etc) I'd rather support the underground. I love their early stuff though. One more thing, at least the Carcass guys had a label back in the day and helped release Repulsion's Horrified to the masses. I don't think Glen ever did anything like that when he was young. Just my opinion. Thanks for the great videos, brah brah!!!
Venom actually do have a bunch of songs not on any of the studio albums, check out the 'the singles 80-86' compilation, I know the first 2 songs are on welcome to hell and some are on live albums only but it almost works as a full album if you listen to it completely, there's some really good stuff there!
??Question J-Dawg?? What was the craziest most epic mosh you have been in?? Asking cause some of the Slayer moshes with the huge fires just popping up out of nowhere like the gates of fucking hell were opening up came on my timeline!
*FUCKING SLAYER* Pitting on top of metal folding chairs until they were destroyed and we all fell down. Bodies were wrapped up in the mangled chairs. There were multiple pits. It was nuts.
J Dawg QUESTION Have you ever experimented with hard drugs or lost a friend or family member to drugs? Also, for those who dont know, the greatest goregrind and homeboy metal band ever is Mortician. I got my hat on sideways right now blarin Hacked up for bbq brah.
hey J-dawg! First time commenter here but I've been watching for a couple weeks and think the vibe is pretty badass, anyways heres a question. If you had your own band and just released an album would you push to sell more cd's, vinyl, etc, or would you focus more on streaming and marketing? Thanks and cheers!
J DAWG one more thing have you heard venom inc? It's just the prime evil venom era line up with demolition man on bass vocals abaddon on drums, and mantas on guitar I've heard alittle bit and it's pretty bad ass,,and what do you think about the tony dolan era venom alot more cleaned up but still bad ass wolverine from the waste lands is one of my favorite songs, one more thing bro.....bouncy riffs are ok,but only in moderation lol🤣
Hey j dawg I know your a mortician fan bro,,you wouldnt happen to know what kind of drum machine they used back in the day would ya?? You might not know shit or care about gear but i know you've met em a few times or what ever and I'm obsessed with trying to figure out what kind it was and i mean obsessed they dont put shit online and understandably so cause it's their thing but what are your ideas on what it may be?
What's your thoughts on colored metal shirts? I recently got this red Immortal Suffering shirt and it looks amazing. Also got the Lord of the fuckin wasteland toxic holocaust shirt as well.
Yo J-Dawg question! You said a few videos ago you and reaper saw Jay and Silent Bob in theaters and I was wondering if you enjoy any other Kevin Smith movies (Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma, etc)
J Dawg it's interesting that someone bought up how people judge other people on appearance. Do you think that the fact that most of the gentleman in classic Death Metal band Monstrosity aren't too pleasant to gaze upon has hindered the bands success? I read in Monstrosity reviews where the journalists would say things in regards to how ugly some of the band members were.?????
Like Chris Barnes ugly mug was any better to look at. Honestly, the only guys that stood a chance in "attractive department" was Chuck Schuldiner or early David Vincent. Then there's chicks like Jo Bench from Bolt Thrower. Honestly, it shouldn't matter anyway. This is extreme metal, not pop music. If looks helped a death metal band then Death would haven been as big as Obituary back then. But now that you mention it, I'm beginning to wonder if Bob Rusay of early CC was let go cause of his balding head, lol.
Where is the best source for good quality t-shirts? I've been wanting to replace a few of those old classic main band shirts I had back in my young days, like the Medallian you are wearing in this video. Is there any place better than Rockabillia?
Do you like Messiah? It's Death Thrash. Also heard your latest rap album under the name J-Dawg. Good stuff. 06:00 i could tell you how to tell if the accounts are the ssme or separate if you ever want. It's just a matter of looking at their profile picture's URL.
J Dawg if you form a band would you attempt to challenge the Heaviest most Brutal Death Metal songs by taking the music to even more Extreme levels of intensity than anyone has ever been exposed to? When I was playing I always strived to be at a level of intensity and Brutality that would equal or surpass the limits of anyone else. Technology has made that goal a bit too lofty. There are so many recording techniques that can elevate the Brutality levels that the motivation to be the Heaviest Metal in existence has too many contenders
J Dawg?? If given the opportunity, would a young J Dawg watch Cannibal Corpse from the side of the stage or would he just want to be in the pit? Even if you can meet the band in a VIP deal after the show no matter where you watch them from.
