    I'm a camera op. Was in a motorbike crash and lost a lot of muscle in my left leg. Can't run or walk fast but I can stand for long periods. I see this and I feel like I could return to work with this. I weigh 163lbs. Could this carry me and approx 25lbs of camera pack? I'd like to operate the video camera while rolling too.

    Are they legal in the UK, considering electric scooters are illegal in the UK unless you register them as mopeds where do these fit in on the legal scale of UK law?
    The Segway in the UK is completely illegal by the way only allowed on private land.
    This looks very interesting as a potential means of transport but so are electric scooters, but like I said they are completely banned in the UK unless you register them as mopeds and pay insurance and mot after 3 years.

    • @garnknopf155
      @garnknopf155 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      flitsies i would say yes because you can only go ca. 20 km/h

      Yes well I did some updates on this some time ago and yes the one wheel version is legal but the two wheel version is not.
      It also has nothing to do with the speed it can go it is purely a technical issue relating to the number of wheels it actually has.
      All vehicles with two or more wheels must by law be registered as mopeds or motorcycles or whatever, this only has one wheel therefore technically it does not fall into any law restrictions at all and are classified as toys.
      An electric bicycle does not need to be registered and this is the only exception, all scooters regardless of motor size by law are supposed to be registered even kids electric scooters that is the law, however the police generally ignore kids on small electric vehicles.
      An adult riding any kids electric vehicle can and has been charged and given points for riding said vehicle.
      So to clarify, all electric scooters all two or more wheeled powered vehicles except bicycles must by law be registered as mopeds or other and must carry insurance, registration and will need an MOT plus the rider must hold the appropriate licence to ride one.
      But the once wheel unicycle is exempt purely due to what the law says.
      Oh and the reason why electric scooters do not fall under the same law as electric bicycles is purely because they have no pedals that can be used to propel the vehicle along.
      I also posted a link to the law in another posting, it's a crazy law but hell that's the UK legal system for you.
