Legit i have binged most of your videos in the last 2 weeks, after a random recommendation, after 6 years away from the hobby. They have definitely flimmed ma flams and now i'm back in the hobby. $400 worth of paints later, I'm finally tackling some of the pile of shame that I found.
I hardly subscribe to anybody on TH-cam, but seeing how much joy and fun you get out of this hobby has me watching all of your videos, even if I can't relate to the topic. Thanks for making stuff!
Honestly the lore checks out as the imperium is loves using flesh to make computers with and I guess your guys just took that idea to a whole new level... I mean Map.
The pure unaffected joy that Jay has for this hobby is wonderful. Probably ought to get out the habit of glugging from bottles while he's in the middle of a build like this though... or is the odd mouthful of paint, glue, or thinner what keeps him so happy? 😃
Love it. Simpler blood than my recipe. Different shade too though. In order it's reikland flesh shade gloss, red paint, medium, and then nuln oil to adjust brightness. Looks gnarly.
That's super cool! Old sprues are more uniform, and newer ones are so dense and "organic", so anyone can build what he needs. I actually may use this for AdMech-like terrains, with those metal grids sticking out of sand...
Looks really cool. For the inability to cut straight, might try to go for multiple small pass instead or two or three big ones. If you don't force on the blade, you'll have better cuts. And foam dulls the blade super quick, try sharpening your cutter from time to time.
2 things: 1. Could've put a plywood board and something heavy on top of the first construction, that, in theory, should smooth out and put the sprues deeper in the moulding compound while it dries. 2. Care to post recipe for that red spray? Interesting idea that opens interesting options

That sprue/'flagstone' idea is boss! And yes, I think you need a different tool for cutting those foamboards. A MUUUUUUCH larger blade, serrated and less flexible.

You really should paint the new battletech alpha strike box. The mage is becoming quite popular, the alpha strike game in the box is fairly easy to play and the new sculpts are excellent.
I wish I knew where you bought that razor knife. I've been to the hardware stores in my town and they don't have one! Did you buy it online through Amazon?
If you're painting with an undercoat, you're on the right track. If you're painting with an overcoat, you're either messing something up, or showing off...
would like to see this 5 to 10 times the size.. I love to imagine "epic" battles on it instead of kill team stuff. This board looks great for Khorne, Slaanesh, Nurgle, Tyranids/Cults, Orks, Drukhari ... cool.
Went to look at the Patreon but I couldn't find an answer. If I sign up can I get the terrain or do I only get the STLs? Cause I don't own a 3D printer but that terrain is gorgeous

you need a hot wire to cut foam, wouldnt be surprised if you could use it for cleaning up molding or creating melty battle damage as well.

Tip for cutting weird things like corks, foam, etc... use a sharp bread knife 🔪
