Talking about this kit like a Gunpla kit is exactly how I've felt building Age of Sigmar models. Even small kits like the new Saurus warriors have these complex, beautifully interlocking shapes that give amazing poses, clear and seamless alignment, nearly no mold lines, just absolutely perfect.
You tearing open the dread can bring any loyalist to tears... Me included

Plot armor levels will have to increase to a massive degree amongst the Astartes with these monsters comming for the battlefield, and they already have the thickest one in 40K. I love the Tyranids, but It's getting harder each year to conceive a way this galaxy can survive their onslaught for much longer, even more considering the Silent King has no plan to move against them any time soon.
especially me, my 3 dreadnoughts are crying in pain, Furio, Sylvio, Carmine, you shall have your revenge soon.
I just want a Knight-sized Nid monster in plastic, is that so much to ask for GW?

Bear in mind that the stompa is only £10 more than the norn emmisary... No excuse not to scale it up 50% or more
While I agree it could have been bigger, I don't personally find the stompa a very impressive model in appearance, just big. The norn looks much more interesting while still being somewhat sizeable.
To be fair... or at the very least try and make sense of the madness, the Stompa is a big-ass bell with guns, as in, hollow in the inside, whilst this bug is full thick plastic... not to mention new, because otherwise we may end up giving ideas to GW and they will, once again, rise up the prices.
The ork stompa looks like a pile of garbage and is entirely hollow. The norn emissary is a masterclass sculpt with fine details and beautiful

This is what makes the Warhammer 40k community so great. In all my years I've never seen that daemon prince conversion model and that's so clever and cool

Was hoping for it to be a tad bigger but it will still be a fantastic center piece.
The norn emissary could still probably rip a knight in to even if it’s smaller just with its sure power and speed like these things can kill entire squads of caustodes and one was only killed by the castodes caption just you know this is information from the lore not the game

Some russian guy has basically sculpted a rough copy of the new termies and released them for free on Cults. Maybe someone in your town could print them for a small fee.

That conversion is awesome. The way Dave did the fingers, like the emissary is almost cradling its gory prize is incredibly evocative, and it fits the pose of the sculpt so well. It's like the model was made to tell that story. Stellar work.
As for the kits themselves, they're cool, but holy hot damn are they way too expensive for what you get. I know it's a "broken record" statement, but good lord, the prices really are absurd.

People forget that the emissary fulfills the same battlefield role as a vindicare assassin. It was never gonna be the size of a knight.
I think it's more to do with the months of rumours prior to its release saying it would be the size of the knight

As for the other kits, I think the Neurolictor is a lovely model. Shame they forgot to give it an actual attack in the rules.

Hive Fleet Jotunn is probably the coolest custom hive fleet, Space Bears are a perfect chapter to pin them up against. I reallllllyyyyy want to see the two fight a big battle on the new terrain they have made

You know, if you went more for a dark grey/black for the non-plates and for a bright metallic for those, the scheme would work great for theming them after the old Kenner Aliens/AvP toy lines

I mean, the norn emissary was not meant to be really large, more of like a hive tyrant with slight gigantism, the real big ones are the Carnifex or the large leg nids
From the looks of it, the Trygon is still the tallest plastic Tyranid.

i heard bigger than a wraith lord and really didn't expect it to be as massive as i quickly started hearing it get compared to without any real reference to back it up. sooooo... at the biggest i expected it to be as big as a gallant and not that surprised it's not

in the lore they go on and on about huge Nid Bio titans of all forms and all we have is the resin dimachaeron that cant even be used any more and the full scale bio titan or flying one thats both insanely expensive. Why can we not just have a sweet plastic kit with knight sized stuff.

A Space Marine is about about 8 feet tall and comes up to the Norn's kneecap. I'm 6'2" I'd be looking at that things shin. Amazing dual build kit from GW that is an absolute marvel of engineering.
It got so much hype in the lore yet could've been clapped by one well-placed imperial knight freeblade
even if the norn emmisary is smaller than a knight i can still picture it pouncing on one and ripping it to shreds before it can react

To be honest this is about as big as I though the Norn emissary/assimilator was, judging off the pictures that GW showed in its article a few weeks ago and owning a wraith lord and knight myself (of course without actually owning the Norn guy himself)
Would I be right in saying most people view the live stream reveal streams in widescreen and it makes the models look huge

hierodules and hierophant models are all out of stock on forgeworld... and there is no diemacheron listed at all... could be a hint. Same pattern went for the knight cerastus line.
