@@jrsanti remember Kelly was a highly accomplished martial artist and starred in a film as a martial arts instructor before he ever meet Bruce Lee. He was one of the worlds most decorated karate champions before his introduction to Bruce Lee
this was an era of these really cool characters within pop culture that couldn't be replaced. No one picked up the torch after these guys sat down resulting in today where you don't really have pop culture characters like this anymore. I don't know who kids look up to today.
@@blockmasterscott That's fair and a true testament to the character of Mr. Jim Kelly. But it's totally different when you were given very few black heros on screen that weren't caricatures to be made fun of versus revered.
My respect for Jim Kelly just went through the roof. Bruce Lee had most American kids in our back yards imitating him and no one will ever have the influence in martial arts the way he did.
Jim Kelly was one of the MOST decorated world karate champions, so I think it's safe to say he knew what he was talking about when it came to how great Bruce Lee really was.
he sparred with him off set,he knew how fast he was, this will set you in line with your thinking, when you go up against someone with speed that defy's logic, this is what JIM WAS TRYING TO CONVEY,BRUCE LEE was the epitome of martial arts,he trained every HOUR of every DAY or thinking of it,hell he was doing it on set,HIS JOB RIP BRUCE AND JIM,LEGENDS DON'T DIE,THEY ENDURE
“One of the most decorated world karate champions”? LOL. Kelly was a last minute replacement in ENTER who was hired because several of the Hollywood crowd trained at his studio, plus he had a film credit. Kelly won the middleweight division at Ed Parker’s tournament and some lesser events in 1971, but he didn’t win the Grand Championship there. Nor was Parker’s “Internationals” EVER a legitimate world championship. It was one of numerous nationally rated events on the national tournament circuit. In Sport Karate in America, there was no legitimate world circuit like there is today such as WAKO, NASKA and the NBL. It was a national circuit, like golf or tennis, and the division winners would compete for the Grand Championship. The winner of the most Grands at the national events that year would be crowned the “National Champion.” Between the different weight classes and roughly dozen (varies depending on the year) national tour events that year, there were at least 36 guys in that achieved as much or more than Kelly did in 1971 alone. There were at least lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight divisional winners, plus the Grand Champions from each of the national tour championships. Guys like Norris and Lewis achieved the actual national title, Kelly wasn’t even close. Even I have won a Grand Championship at a national tour championship back when I was eighteen before fully switching to Kickboxing and later Submission Grappling/BJJ. I was barely a blip on the Sport Karate radar and I was more successful than Kelly, but never was an actor. In another part of this same interview, available on the Golden Bell Training Channel, Kelly admitted that he never met Lee until years later when they began filming ETD. So how did Kelly see Lee spar guys like Stone, Lewis and Norris? Use a Time Machine? Funny, according to everyone who was actually there, Lee only did prearranged drills with those guys and never sparred with them and that was confirmed by Dan Inosanto.
@@DavidHughesKJN don't matter no how...they all trained with sports in mind Bruce trained combat arts. I would pay far more caution facing Bruce than Kelly, dillman, Norris, or lewis. Lewis and dillman (pre BS) get more of my respect bc they both served so at least they knew what a real fight is. Point 'full 'contact,' MMA.... still ain't true no holds everything or nothing.
Pls don't misunderstand me mentioning dillman....I hate they guy but before the magic show he was legit . I knew at 10yr pressure points don't work......how you think soldiers get shot and keep fighting....hit me with a pressure point.... I'll touch your brain through your 👀.
@@ddfftvjngj4565 This is one of the dumbest and most ignorant comments yet. Give yourself a pat on the back. Given your company of idiotic statements, that’s really saying something. Comments like this completely destroyed any credibility that you might have had with anyone with any real knowledge or experience whatsoever about this subject. “Bruce trained combat arts”. LOL! This type of idiotic statement is made by the idiots that don’t know how to fight who want to fantasize that they can use techniques aimed at vital targets and stop a better fighter with them. Something that they don’t practice in live training against fully resisting opponents and they would never gain the superior position to utilize and all of a sudden, a combat sport athlete is going to be helpless against them. Nice fantasy. Even Tier One and Tier Two Special Forces Operators will tell you that’s complete nonsense. Military Combatives can be a nice supplement, but those methods are very low percentage. In the realm of one out of one hundred. For example, Jocko Willink, Commander of Naval Special Warfare SEAL Team Three’s Task Unit Bruiser has said that “If you want to learn how to fight, learn Jiu-Jitsu, then supplement that with Muay Thai, Boxing and Wrestling. Then go into bladed weapons and then as additional supplement the old school military combatives can be useful.” But he has said on his podcast that by themselves, they are a one in one hundred odds of beating a trained combat sport athlete in single, unarmed combat. Besides being a combat sports athlete, I was a bouncer and later a bodyguard for several years. For the past two decades, I have moonlighted as a licensed tactical trainer teaching both Tom Patire’s CDT/LRT systems and Frank Cucci’s LINXX system, which was the standard CQC system for Naval Special Warfare Operations (DevGru and SEALs) for many years. Those guys have training towards CQC, but it’s never focused on single, unarmed combat. If you’re even dealing with any CQC, you have already messed up beyond measure. This is never a major focus of even Special Forces Operators, let alone grunts or especially support personnel. So, your military comments about “they both served so at least they knew what a real fight is”, makes you sound about as credible as Frank Dux. Besides, what “combat arts” do you think Lee trained? Was that the Wing Chun, the Judo class he took with Fred Sato when he was going to school in Washington, the little bit of boxing he learned from Brother Edward at his private Catholic High School or the fencing that his older brother did? Oh, I almost forgot, Lee learned the Taekwondo side kick from Jhoon Rhee as well. Which of those, that he at least dabbled in, do you consider such a fearsome and effective combat art? His main training came from learning roughly half of the Wing Chun curriculum before moving to the USA. Outside of movies, does anyone consider that an effective “combat art”? Most consider it on the same level as Aikido regarding combat effectiveness.

Jim Kelly was one hell of a man ! It’s nice to see him always speak very highly of Bruce. Bruce also respected and trained with Jim at his home in Hong Kong. They built a good friendly relationship and you can bet Jim and Bruce really dug each other. Now, in regards to who Bruce sparred and who he beat lol Jim wont tell you and the people who he beat wont tell you but I will tell you, Chuck Norris, Mike Stone and Joe Lewis. That’s a start …..
I’m ashamed to say that up until a few weeks ago I didn’t know that the legendary Jim Kelly was from my home state of Kentucky. This man was Wesley Snipes and Michael Jai White before there was a Wesley Snipes and Michael Jai White. I imagine an alternate timeline of reality where Bruce Lee and Jim Kelly worked together again in a buddy cop style film. Absolute legends, both of them!
"I imagine an alternate timeline of reality where Bruce Lee and Jim Kelly worked together again in a buddy cop style film" In America, Europe, Asia, Africa ?
It's always eye opening to see how fragile and jealous men are of a dead man's accomplishments..till this day there are countless bums downplaying what Bruce was. A master striker Master philosopher, master athlete, the godfather of MMA. Legend
Sorry he was not the godfather of MMA. The term "MMA" was not coinef until the 1990's by Rick Blume. Bruce Lee popularized the idea of hybrid or eclectic martial arts but he was far from being the only innovator. He is the most known due to his fame and celebrity. Just a few examples. Nippon Kempo was developed in the 1930's combining striking, throws and grappling. Ed Parker's Kempo combined many traditional Chinese and American Hawaiian street fighting concepts. A bunch of guys in Brazil called the Gracies, and Luiz Franca learned modified kodokan judo from Japanese judoka immigrants and modified it for the rough streets. Martial Arts has a rich history of people constantly innovating and evolving things. It said that the Shaolin monks took the basic exercises taught to them by Bodhidharma and added more movements to eventually develop Chuan fa. So with all due respect, to say Bruce Lee was the godfather of MMA is emotional hyperbole. Moreover it is incorrect and disrespectful to those who really developed what we now call MMA. No offence but many of you guys posting comments. Do you guys actually do martial arts? Do you guys read about the history of all the martial arts styles? MMA has many roots but it directly has lineage from vale Tudo and shooto.
@@assoverteakettle Bruce Lee was definitely a pioneer of MMA. He was the most polarizing advocate of breaking away from the formalism of traditional martial arts in favor of an approach based around philosophy of practicality and naturalism. No one is discrediting anyone from other fields who started to merge the styles, but what did they do to make their arts mainstream and popular to the world in their time? Bruce is more influential than anyone else at this time with merging of the styles. That's what his Jeet Kun Do style is. they say a mark of genius is the person that can take a complex subject and explain it in simple way so everyone can understand it, and this is what Bruce did for his time. A prominent Godfather of MMA

Jim Kelly was very honest about Bruce Lee and how great he was. Whilst Joe Lewis, Bob Wall, Mike Stone, Chuck Norris have been very guarded about how good he was and they sugarcoat the insults to him.
Many of these artists praised Bruce while he was alive , but when he died they all scrambled to try to replace him,..and then some of the stories changed...(out of jealousy)...it wasn't until 20 years later that Chuck Norris got his own TV show and into the money/fame ..and they were all his students for years,..Chuck went to Bruce's house and payed him.for lessons...they all wanted his skills, power, and speed.😮
I met Jim Kelly's wife in Las Vegas. She kept talking about how wonderful he always was to her and how gentle he was. She showed me lots of pictures on her phone. Great lady. She missed him a lot.
Jim met Bruce at the start of filming enter the dragon, approximately six weeks before Bruce died. Joe Lewis and Chuck Norris were not involved with that movie and would not have been around the movie locations. So how could Jim have seen Bruce woop them ?? Jim would not have seen Joe and Bruce together or Chuck and Bruce together !

Guys...there is a reason that so many martial artists and high end people went to Bruce for training. Bruce didn't train for the ring or points...he trained for the REAL World. Man. I wish Jim was still around. I was so hoping to meet him. He just seems like the real deal. Plus, he incorporated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in to his personal training/teaching for the style he was developing. I am a Kung Fu nut....thanks to the movies....but as I got older, I saw Jiu-Jitsu as very valuable as well. That is why I respect Kelly so much more. He knew he had to adapt, and wasn't overcome with the sentiment that "oh real martial artists don't worry about the ground because you'd have to get me there first" type arrogance. He, himself, has claimed his acting chops were not always up to snuff, but I seriously think, over time, he could have definitely been a bonafide action star. Now, I know there were other factors that came in the way in regards to his career as an actor. But again....that would have come in time. Plus, people wanted to see more of him kicking some major a$$, hahaha! Rest In Peace, Mr. Kelly. Know that you continue to be an inspiration to many kids, no matter where they come from. Not a bad legacy if you think about it. Osu!
Bruce Lee was a Legend. Perfectly said. If he trained for an actual fight did he have the capability to adapt to an actual fight ? The answer is hell yes. Talent is talent
I’ve met Jim Kelly twice in my life as a lil kid around 73-74 once he came to our preschool to teach us then another time he would frequent the Sizzler on Labrea and Rodeo. Bruce n Jim were my first hero’s! R.I.P both of them.
You know- when someone says “we really don’t know how great” someone was…we need to acknowledge it. We really truly DONT know how great BL was. Films and movies are different, but if a man who saw greatness in the flesh experience greatness in the flesh…it’s hard to know unless you literally witness it. Ive personally witnessed Michael Phelps swim up close in person numerous occasions and even saw him lose a race or two and he STILL was that dude…he was DIFFERENT, but if all you saw was the glamour of the olympics on NBC it’s easy to dismiss, until you witness once in a lifetime greatness in the flesh.
My man you chose a great comparison in Michal Phelps, he truly is one of a kind, once in a generation athlete. Jim Kelly is telling this guy “ you truly don’t know how great Bruce Lee was”, I one hundred percent believe that considering that Jim Kelly is the source .

The hardest thing is describing it to people who had no clue how fast & strong he was! Busting aluminum cans open with his fingers (those one finger push ups!)! The inch punch etc! Quickest leg kicks! List goes on! Imagine film industry telling him to slow down!!! Because he was too fast for the cameras of that era!
Busting STEEL cans open with his fingers. In those days the cans were steel, not the wimpy aluminium cans of today. And thicker than the steel cans of today.Makes it so much more impressive.

Certainly as someone born in 1963 Bruce Lee was THE influence on me becoming a martial artist and a fitness fanatic all my life. But he also taught me about respect for others and the art in fighting. Because if its just about the fighting we are switching back into animal instinct, like you see a lot of in modrrn MMA If it comes to a fight I change character completely and its about being prepared to go to the death. Not a characteristic which sits easy in a civilised society and thats why I still revere Bruce Lee because he is also a lot about the mind control and gentlemanly conduct as well as the speed, technique and sheer athleticism. In his time he didnt need to be an MMA great, he made his living through acting. Maybe if he had been born into todays world he would have been an MMA champion instead to make his name rather than Kung Fu movies.

Awesome stuff bro, love hearing the stories of Bruce that come from the people who actually knew and trained with him, Jim Kelly was a legend too! ❤️🕊️
Whoa. I think a *whole* lot of you are missing why he keeps emphasizing hands *or* hands and feet. For a dude at 5'7" to be willing to take on anybody including heavyweights, feet are a necessity. It is *literally* not done any other way, when reach, height, and weight advantage add so much leverage to a pure boxing fight, and sweeps, flying kicks, or takedowns are unavailable to the smaller, more agile fighter. For Lee to go "hands only" with trained heavyweights in open sparring *and* beat them, truly means he was probably as legendary as his reputation purports.
Bullshit! There are 2 techniques, only one of which I will mention…that if you learn them diligently you will be unbeatable! Keiko Uchi Waza! ( Chicken beak ) if learned well will break an opponents collarbones, cheekbones, spine, arms and rip biceps apart! It is taught to attack the eyes! But a precisely delivered downward chicken beak strike to the collarbone will break it! A strike to the heart or solar plexus will kill a person! A strike to the back or top of the hand will disable your opponent instantly!
One of them was Chuck Norris, who can’t find himself still til this day to say Bruce was way superior. He speaks of him as if they were equals, knowing very well Bruce was better. Much better, facts!
I have always liked Bruce Lee of course but after seeing his drawings from the 60s of moves we are pulling off nowadays at 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu, I am amazed. The Truck for one and the Twister as well. They were designed to pin an opponent back then but now they were made into some of my favorite submissions. Way ahead of his time!
The drawings were still early in his development. Read his article in black belt magazine where he discourages "mechanical precision" from repetition of a technique.
Bruce was definitely ahead of his time. Check out my other video. Can Bruce Lee fight? (part 2) - Proof offered by Sugar Ray Leonard. Video link th-cam.com/video/Za4nbCxXSQw/w-d-xo.html

Old @ 69 now. Have, from '73 (& still do) watch Bruce Lee's films & doc's. Jim Kelly was a great martial artist, & as evidenced here, a true gentleman. RIP Mr Jim Kelly.
People need to realize that a person (Jim Kelly) isn't going to speak about Bruce Lee in the manner that he does unless he has witnessed and experienced some things for himself! Jim had knowledge of who Bruce fought and sparred with, but he chooses not to mention their names to protect their reputations and egos. I watched an interview with Chuck Norris on CNBC (11yrs. ago). The moderator asked chuck "Did you and Bruce ever fight?" Chuck said "I was a professional fighter" but Bruce was good. I believe that Chuck Norris was one of the guys that Jim Kelly was protecting in this interview by not mentioning his name.
Jim in his days won the International Middle Weight Championship which implies he fought stiff competition to achieve that, so he wouldn't speak of Bruce in the way he does if he didn't see Bruce beat guys who were known to be really good. Also it's a known fact that Bruce actually taught Chuck Norris, Joe Lewis, Mike Stone (known Champions with egos) things to make them better. Those guys weren't captivated by Bruce's movie fame like James Coburn, Kareem Abdul Jabar and others. Those guys were proven Champs with fragile egos, and they wouldn't subject themselves to be taught by someone unless that person showed himself to be better than them. People can argue all they want, anything contrary just doesn't pass the common sense test.
@@cliffordhill2365 Norris and Lee trained together. To say that Lee 'taught' Norris isn't completely honest. From the accounts that I've read, they both learned from one another. One of the most exceptional traits that Lee had was his humility in regards to his skills and training. He was very open to learning new techniques and didn't pretend to know everything. He was the consummate student.
Of course Lee was open to learning from others, we all know that he studied tapes of Muhammad Ali. I do believe that Chuck with his TKD background showed Lee some things about kicking, however, if Chuck had humility (like you spoke of Bruce having), he would have never replied " I was a professional fighter " when asked about them fighting one another. That answer implies that Bruce is merely a Hollywood actor, while he (Chuck) is a legitimate fighter. Not only is that answer untrue, it also dodges the question which was asked!
@@cliffordhill2365 Look, from some accounts we have heard that Chuck could be a dick sometimes. But we've also heard the same said about Lee. Norris wasn't perfect nor was Lee. Most of us like Bruce, and a good amount of us also like Chuck. We shouldn't try to diminish one to raise up the other.
I first saw Bruce Lee during the 60s as Kato in the Green Hornet TV Series. Then I saw him in his Kung Fu Movies from the early 70s. He was unbelievable in Enter the Dragon. He is the best Kung Fu Martial Artist I have ever seen.
I believe that Bruce Lee was indeed a great fighter of his time... maybe the greatest but then again, in his time, there were very few trained fighters and Bruce was a renaissance man of MMA.
@Robert Anthony that is exactly what I meant. Trained MMA (all around fighters) right now are a dime a dozen and are very good! Most of them are actually inspired by Bruce.

Yes Grandmaster Rhee was not easy but at the same time he was putty to Bruce Lee as he said so himself he said he taught Bruce Lee kicking in 1970 in his garage and two days later Bruce came back kicking faster and more powerful than Grandmaster Rhee goes to show the ability that Bruce was born with
Nothing can beats speed and timing Bruce Lee was on another level.. fast like lighting! Don’t think anyone in modern day or history can match his skills.
He would get beat by a lightning fast prime Pacquiao or Mayweather in boxing. Many Tae Kwon Do blackbelts have way more advanced and fast kicking. Many martial artist can match his skill; punching kicking, mma jui jitsu grappling. But Bruce Lee was a star, no doubt. The myth is just exaggerated like he was some kind of supernatural superhero that could beat anybody. Totally unrealistic. Todays worldchampions would beat him. Boxing, Mma, Kick boxing etc. Its o.k. he is still an icon.
@@MrStaano Well said. I was somewhat of an icon in my school (and beyond) because no one could get anywhere near my speed - ever (for decades). I jumped in and out of MA systems because I was a handful for people and so I preferred to learn by stealth, for a limited time. I was recommended to exploit my speed for money, but I wanted neither the money, the fame, or the recognition. Lee had a presence, and he is an icon. He also said, quote: ""I'm not fast. I just learned to be deceptive."
@@firstbornjordan People have this superhero fantasy of Bruce lee in their minds. Totally unrealistic views. Bruce Lee couldnt beat any fighter that ever lived. He is also restricted by his size and strength level. In fights size and power are very important. Fighting experience. Real professional training. Martial arts doesnt make anybody a superhero.
@@MrStaano Just because you say that and you think that don't make it true, but whatever makes you feel good. I personally believe that Bruce would still be dominant even today because of how his mindset was when it came to fighting, and he would have just grown more wiser and more dangerous. And to even mention Pacquiao and Mayweather is very ignorant of Bruce Lee's capabilities. He would literally kill these men, are you serious with this statement?? The fact that you are still talking about him today shows that he wasn't just some fake fighter. It's not about being some superhero it's about his dedication to the art of fighting not to mention being the real deal and way ahead of his time. It's funny how only the most dangerous martial artists pay homage to him but guys who just fight a little try to downplay him, which is really just hate
@@jameelhambrick9041 How can you say Bruce Lee would kill 2 of the best boxers ever? Professional multi division world champions. Boxing is one of the most effective sets of techniques in real fighting. You are so unrealistic. I'm also a fan of Bruce Lee like most people. But i'm too educated to fall for the superhero fantasy, like Bruce could kick everybody ass regardless of expertise, size and weight. Thats so delusional. I'm guessing you never trained that much. Real fighters know a 140 pound martial artist cannot defeat everybody that ever lived. Bruce lee is still a legend and example. It doesnt matter somebody like Mike Tyson in his prime would run through him with ease. Thats just reality.

The winner of the most Grands at the national events that year would be crowned the “National Champion.”
Between the different weight classes and roughly dozen (varies depending on the year) national tour events that year, there were at least 36 guys in that achieved as much or more than Kelly did in 1971 alone.

You know- when someone says “we really don’t know how great” someone was…we need to acknowledge it. We really truly DONT know how great BL was.

"Man, this dude is straight out of a comic book" lol
Great video
Bs mr Han man
I don't know this to be factual but, personally, I think the original Mortal Kombat was inspired by and has huge similarities to Enter The Dragon.
“Man U come right out of a comic book!” Mad respect for all the legendary fighters from the Bruce Lee era! Bruce was a uniquely gifted martial artist!
And thicker than the steel cans of today.Makes it so much more impressive.
i live in Bruce Lee era, softdrink can that time is made of steel, hard , not soft aluminium of today
Back in my teenage years I would practice punches and kicks a thousands of times just to be like him in sparring. It was endless battery charging if boy's dreams, so much inspiration was the man.
you are not alone.
he got me started in martial arts to spent years watching and learning big inspiration to me
Love this interview !! Jim Kelly had huge love and respect for Bruce Lee and was never shy to say it on camera unlike Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris is a hypocrite.
Chuck respected Bruce, but believes in himself too.
Interviewer: who would win between you and Bruce?
Chuck norris: I was a 3 time worls champion at the time and Bruce was a celebrity but he's good. We were just exchanging ideas and never really sparred. We didn't wanna go there.
@@1machoguerrereo508 Exactly correct. I don't understand why some people expect Chuck to act like he was Bruce's whipping boy or something, he wasn't. Bruce and Chuck respected each other and are both experts in their own fields. Why compare them? They're totally different, unique legends in their own right.
Everybody respected Bruce.
Only fools didn't respect his ability
Jim Kelly has rightly said Bruce knew the stuff,he was ahead of others,he was unbelievable, untouchable, greatest martial artist.RIP Bruce Lee,RIP Jim Kelly.
Jim Kelly will always have a special place as far as respect to me. Kelly trained under many of the best martial artist or his time. Including my teacher Rickson Gracie. As s karateka i enjoyed watching Jim fight in tournament and enjoyed his martial arts abilities on screen. Rest in peace Jim Kelly God Bless your soul.
Jim was all class. RIP
Jhoon Rhee father of US Taekwondo said Bruce Lee was utterly unbeatable now Jim Kelly talking about Bruce's speed what more is there to be said about Bruce others were just envious of Bruce to say otherwise just read his book Tao of Jeet Kune Do a book that reveals how untouchable was Bruce Lee long story short
Jhoon Rhee admitted in an interview that Bruce Lee wanted to spar him but Jhoon wouldn't do it because he was afraid to spar Bruce Lee.
Jhoon Rhee was my sinsee wow what a coincidence I didn't know that when I was a kid
Also Jackie Chan said only Bruce was so fast it was like a cartoon.
@@efisgpr Bruce lee's speed was scary quick. I think most who knew him would admit that, more likely why many wouldn't seriously spar with him. I mean, if you can't see it coming until it's too late, how the heck you defend yourself?... you can't imo.
Bruce Lee's early martial arts experience included Wing Chun (trained under Yip Man), tai chi, boxing (winning a Hong Kong boxing tournament), and apparently frequent street fighting (neighborhood and rooftop fights)
Winning a scholboy boxing tournament between two schools. The maximum mattches he had was three. some say two, some say just one. Not exactly golden gloves is it ?
Enter the Dragon dialogue (not verbatim):
Bad Sifu: You're style is unorthodox...
Jim Kelly: ...though winning !
Mad props to the late Great Jim Kelly. This brotha introduced the Arts to the Black Communities across America. Rest In Power
Rest in Peace.
Almost respect Jim had for Bruce Lee was breathtaking, amazing Legend talking pure GOLD about his friend, this video sometimes makes me cry, the when Jim Talked about Lee her wanted to have Lee alive beside him and practice with him.
Jim Kelly was and is legend. Great gentleman and I hope new generation learn from him ❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹

That's how you give props!! Bruce was most definitely the greatest but brother Jim you were no slouch yourself. You both had a huge impact on my life. I miss you both tremendously as does most of the world.

All those keyboard-heros in Bruce Lee comment sections who say that Bruce was only an actor, dont know what it means when a world champ like Jim Kelly says: ''He was UNTOUCHABLE''

Bruce Lee was eons above most martial art Masters maybe the best martial artist of his time even today
The best, ever....
Rest in peace Jim Kelly, I hope your up there in heaven kicking it again with Bruce Lee. Emagin Jim arrives to the gates of heaven and Bruce greats him with a smile and smack on the back and remarks "Good to see you again old friend, what took you so long"?

This guy is one of the coolest guys that ever lived. It’s disgraceful that today I can’t dress up to pay homage to him without being labelled.

this is the problem. Bruce was so cool and charismatic that fans desperately want to believe he was this superhuman in real life, even with lack of evidence. I don't know how good he was, but I am sure a lot of the myths are exaggerated.

Awesome stuff bro, love hearing the stories of Bruce that come from the people who actually knew and trained with him, Jim Kelly was a legend too! ❤️🕊️
Jim “Enter The Dragon, Three The Hard Way Kelly”! This brother was amazing and gone too soon!🙏🏾😇👍🏾💯
No doubt

We have modern weapons now. Things have changed. Martial arts is for hobbyists these days. Now men have no code. They are barely human anymore.
Video link

💯%
We shouldn't try to diminish one to raise up the other.
absolutely loved this video hearing about Bruce from Jim Kelly
Thanks.

When Jim Kelly said, "people don't really know ", that was deep
Jim Kelly is not the only person to describe Bruce Lee as untouchable but so did Grandmaster Jhoon Rhee who also sparred Bruce Lee and called Bruce Lee a wizard as Bruce did put in shots on Grandmaster Rhee without Rhee saw him moved
I studied at Jhoon Rhee Institute when I lived in Alexandria,VA. from 1974-1977
Yes Jhoon Ree the master/teacher of Taekwondo was awesome too!
Yes Grandmaster Rhee was not easy but at the same time he was putty to Bruce Lee as he said so himself he said he taught Bruce Lee kicking in 1970 in his garage and two days later Bruce came back kicking faster and more powerful than Grandmaster Rhee goes to show the ability that Bruce was born with
High praise from one whom would definately know. R.I.P. to Jim Kelly and Bruce Lee.
My favorite Jim Kelly when he said Han Man. Bruce Lee and Jim Kelly were my favorite.
@@MrStaano
Just because you say that and you think that don't make it true, but whatever makes you feel good.
