  • If you have Ragi flour and Wheat flour make this healthy breakfast recipe | No rice dosa
    Creating a healthy breakfast recipe combining Ragi flour and Wheat flour presents an opportunity to leverage the nutritional benefits of both ingredients. Ragi, also known as finger millet, is abundant in calcium, iron, and fiber, while Wheat flour offers its own set of nutrients and texture. The amalgamation of these flours not only diversifies the taste but also enhances the dish's overall nutritional profile.
    An excellent breakfast idea using these flours is preparing "No Rice Dosa." This dosa doesn't include rice in its preparation, providing a gluten-free alternative for those with dietary restrictions or preferences. The recipe typically involves combining Ragi and Wheat flours in specific proportions, mixing them with water to form a batter, grinding soaked black gram, mix and allowing it to ferment for 6-8 hours. Afterward, the batter is cooked on a hot griddle to make crispy dosas.
    #ragidosa #noricedosa #healthybreakfast
    Ingredients:
    Urad dal - 1/2 cup
    Methi/fenugreek seeds - 1tsp
    Wheat flour - 1 cup
    Ragi flour - 1 cup
    Salt to taste
    Water - 2 cup or as needed
    Oil/ghee for roasting

      Absolutely! Just ensure you're not adding too much curd, as it might alter the taste or texture. Roughly 1/4 to 1/2 cup of curd for every cup of flour should work well.😊

      Is fermenting what makes the consistency work without eggs?

    • @bhusanur.cooking
      @bhusanur.cooking  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The time required for fermentation can vary based on factors like temperature and the quantity of batter, so you can adjust the timing accordingly. Once the batter has fermented to your satisfaction, you can place it in the refrigerator to slow down the fermentation process. This will help keep the batter from over-fermenting or spoiling.

    Is ragi good for diabetic person???

    • @bhusanur.cooking
      @bhusanur.cooking  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, ragi is generally considered a good grain option for people with diabetes. Ragi has a low glycemic index, which means it releases glucose into the bloodstream at a slower rate compared to high-glycemic-index foods. This slower release helps in preventing rapid spikes in blood sugar levels😍

      @bhusanur.cooking  ปีที่แล้ว

      Rinse the ragi grains in water and drain. Spread the cleaned ragi grains on a clean, dry cloth or tray and let them dry in the sun for a few hours. Roast them for about 10-15 minutes. Allow to cool down. Grind the ragi grains and sieve it. For bulk ragi flour you can use mill.
