Love how you went the poured in place walls versus block, much stronger. Like how clean you have kept the job site, form work can be really messy. Walls look clean, straight and plumb. Great job! The homeowner should be very happy with your work.

Stone walls or gabions would have looked nicer than concrete yet buying the stones would make them expensive. I have a couple of gabions in my garden and I used river-stones for the exterior only because they are expensive and inside I used even some old concrete scraps that were around and whatever stone was sitting close by.
@@vivalaleta Not everyone but sometimes if a person wants a certain type of stone and it is not on his property, then yes. In my case, I do have lots of stones but the river stones were nicer so I wanted my gabions with that look.

Except nothing tying the walls into the back fill. They’ll push out eventually.

I would have loved to see the complete make over, but so far it looks great!
Coming soon! Thank you for watching
Beautiful work! I like the finished look of your walls more than All Access that shows the form lines. Great work!
Epic! Those walls aren't going anywhere!
Amazing! What a transformation 🤩 Phase 2 is going to be 🔥❤🔥
@@michellespetner7316 thank you so much!!!
This is stunning! Thanks for sharing. We have a slope pretty close to this and the size as well, Could you share the cost for the Phase 1?
Well, the same amount of rain will impact this area so what water collection sites have been installed for roof collections?
All water diverts to the street at the moment. Once the plants are in, lots of that water will be captured by the plants 🙂
cool. Next time dig it out and make it flat so you can install retaining walls under all three fences :)
That would've been cool, but extra $$$$
Also would it have been possible to monopour the walls with the footngs or would have bracing been too tough?
Bracing too tough for us, but maybe it is possible!
Only time I ever thought about becoming a contractor was after building retaining walls as part of a crew one Summer😊😊
It's still in your bones somewhere...help us on our next retaining wall project 😁
15:34 etcher or what was sprayed on the finished concrete steps?
acid wash to get certain finish. Not sure exactly the product
Nice work!
Thanks!
What type of plywood is that for the concrete retaining wall forms in the 4x8 sheets to get 1 smooth side? (What Material and thickness is 3/4ish?)
3/4" MDO plywood 4x8
looking forward on the next upload

You guys really did this one right. Im impressed. Im in the same market as a new construction GC/ developer. We should talk!
lets talk! contact us on our website terragardens.org
That's impressive work - good job guys! Almost seems too much for the location 🙂
Thanks a lot! And yes 😂 was a lot of work. It’ll look so much better once the plants go in!
lot of work for a 3ft wall. its crazy this engineer went wild
walls are about 5', but yes lots of work, and agreed engineer went crazy lol
What is the company of the prefab shed/cottage on the top tier?
How much permit for this kind of scope of work?
cant remember exactly, but probably in the range of 10k, maybe more for engineering, permit fees etc
Amazing transformation and an entertaining watch. Still though, the homeowner will need two Sherpas and oxygen to reach the top.
😂😂😭 thank you
It would've looked great to really see the complete finish but great job

Nice but we're going to run out of sand for concrete in time. Use gabions...until we run out of stones.
