Been in the works for far too long. Here it is.
It's a mashup between "Over the garden wall" cartoons theme with Moonbase Alpha
I recommend you check out the full cartoon, it's a very sweet and well made story full of catchy tunes :)

if there was a series of ANYTHING... it'd be moonbase alpha shananigans with a side of sad, and a tall glass of meloncholy.
because this makes me think of the single astronaut being alone now in space after either losing their friends, or accidentally pushing them away or accidentally running them away by their actions, and regretting it, hating the solitude later.
just in the end, or technically the whole series... remembering memories... until the very last episode...what would happen then? I dont know. but it'd be meloncholic, and I want it.
Turns out the Whole Series Was just him Recapping How he died to Us.
Two lonely spacemen, who have known eachother since childhood, close enough they could be brothers
Stranded on a desolate alien planet, together they journey through the wastelands of this lifeless piece of rock
But one can only go on for so long, with a caput space ship and no fuel that could get them home, the two accept their fate, surrender to the unrelenting tendrils of oblivion, soon they would go the way all the other life forms on this once lush planet did
And so, they lay down, share a few stories, and not willing to fully accept their situation, try to reassure each other they will find a way out of this.
That was a lie...
And a lovely lie it was.

Thinking about the lyrics, there's something nuts about the whole reason for a long space journey being a beautiful lie to distract from reality. That's an incredibly dark concept.
This song is actually eeriely beautiful.
This video really reminds me of just how small we all are. A species intelligent primate on a spinning rock in the outer edges of the galaxy. And reminds me of just how harsh the reality of space is. We are all subjects to physics and its laws, and there is no "shine of hope" Like in movies.

@@WashingMachinae For now, this is an Over the Garden Wall theme parody. But it seems like it has an interesting story. A lone astronaut is having visions of his friends/colleagues. Why is he having them? What happened to them? Is the astronaut stranded? How did he end up here? I can't speak for everyone, but to me, this seems like it could be one hell of a series.
