I am a self taught mechanic of over 30 years in the field. Helping people save money and stay safe on the road is what I am here for. If I can pass that along in my videos, that would make me feel even more accomplished. I am rather old school and do not really do things by the book, for this reason, I do not claim to make "Instructional" videos. My videos are for entertainment purposes only. Please use safety and knowledge when doing your own repairs. ~ Ben - MegaMiles

One of the 2 videos on TH-cam that shows how to replace the entire oil pump. Thank you!
Thank you for watching!
I wish you were my mechanic , God Bless You , job well done
Thank you! I appreciate that :)
you did all that with a coffee break in 30 min ! .. your good man :)
🤣 Not quite. The video is sped up quite a bit.
My moms 99 Camry got a leak from her oil pump and thanks to this video I definitely feel confident enough to attack this job know knowing where everything is now
Glad to hear it! Good luck!
Yep good for taking note
Thanks for watching!
what is that tool you use at 24:42? Link please?
And thanks. Great video!
Its a fan clutch tool but I use it as a pulley holder... shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/lisle-short-gm-dodge-fan-wrench-43580/10703549-p?product_channel=local&store=6564&adtype=pla&product_channel=local&store_code=6564&gclid=CjwKCAjw6MKXBhA5EiwANWLODDZIXWobHdiiEjJNYR1RGyYgxkKY85Kea8WfDnlTeQqWYiu0yZ3B7xoCaVQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
I didn't see you replace the oil strainer before putting the pan back on. Did I miss it?
I made a note of that in the video (20:11 and 23:20) and showed it later in the video installed (26:14). I had to redrop the pan.
I like keeping my videos straight up and try to show what others would normally cut out. Even seasoned mechanics make a mistake now and then.
Thank you man... finally a full video with what I need... did you use OEM parts for the oil pump? Or aftermarket
Aisin oil pump (I really like Aisin) and he did a dayco timing kit without the water pump. The water pump had recently been done. I would recommend the Aisin timing kit with water pump.
Also, I did it without removing the little bracket thats at the transmission/oil pan. It makes it harder to put the oil pan back in but if youre paitent, itll go.
I just watched your video. Do you know were I can find a timer belt kit and water pump for a 1994 Toyota Camry?
Is it the 2.2L you need?
Heres the Aisin timing kit with water pump for 94 Camry 2.2L. Aisin is what toyota uses.

@@MegaMilesBen thabk tou
do i have to drop the oil pan to take out the old pump
Yes, to remove the oil pick up tube (strainer).
@@MegaMilesBen no not the strainer the actual pump with the crank seal on it do I have to drop the pan for that? The seal is leaking
You specifically said "to take out the old pump". Yes, you would have to to take out the old pump. So I answered your specific question.
As for the seal, no, you can do the seal without removing the pump.
I wonder how many miles were on that pump and if it was showing warning signs before the overhaul?
I'm pretty sure it was the original pump, I dont remember the mileage. Most the cars I see are high miles. If I remember correctly, I think he was doing it just cause of the high mileage and we were planning the timing anyway.
