How to Replace Headlight Bulbs - 2018 Mazda3

In this video I show how to replace or change the low beam headlight bulbs on a 2018 Mazda 3, when equipped with the standard halogen bulbs. In my example I replace the standard OEM H11 bulbs with Sylvania's Silverstar Ultra 55 watt H11 bulbs. At the end I attempt to show a before and after of the OEM standard bulbs vs the new Silverstar Ultras. Spoiler alert, the improvement doesn't show up all that noticeable on my gopro recorded video. In reality I think the difference is a little more appreciated, but the poor low light recording of the GoPro doesn't do it justice.
Tools Needed:
1 x narrow flat head screw driver (roughly 10 inch length)
1 x pliers (no more than 7 inches in length, multiple styles will work)
The pliers are optional, but they can be helpful for increasing your leverage to tighten the bulb all the way into it's proper position (especially if you are right handed).

When those bulbs fail, try an LED kit if you really want to see an improvement. I've been using the Sealight 6000k hi+low beam kit off amazon for 5 years, it's cheap like 100 bucks or less. They are a plug and play replacement, be the same as replacing bulbs as you do here only difference is they have a cord with a driver that just plugs in.
DRL's do not work without a canbus adapter but I just keep my lights set to on, and use my lowbeams as DRL, they shut off automatically 20 seconds or so after you shut the car off.
The difference is huge though imho, well worth it.

There is an easier way to access the drivers side bulb by turning your wheel inward and popping off the 2 panel caps to reach it through the wheel well. Passenger side you'd still have to go through the engine bay though
