Inmar 290H-TS Inflatable Patch and Feedback
Longterm feedback on the Inmar Marine 290H-TS rigid PVC inflatable tender and my experience patching its first hole. I stored my tender in the deflated and rolled up state through the winter, but unfortunately a family of mice decided to chew a small hole in the hull of the boat on one side. To repair the craft, I purchased the two part PVC glue from Seamax ($59.00 from Amazon for 250 ml). Instructions recommend 5% hardener and no more than 10% max. Control the humidity (less than 60%) while performing the patch, and stay out of direct sunlight. Apply pressure to the patch for at least 24 hours, and allow 48 hours to cure before applying air pressure. Use MEK or Acetone to clean all application surfaces before applying first layer of adhesive.

    You need abit of copper grease on the ends of the brake pads so they can move freely n don’t seize up 👍🏼

    Taping the negative terminal is superfluous, it is a ground and can touch any part of the bike. But a good idea to tape the "hot" positive terminal since it leads to actual electrical components.

    I just left my Mazda dealership... with a quote for new pads and rotors for the rear of my Mazda3... $510... LOL I watched your video so I could check to see if pad replacement has changed at all since I learned to do it in the early 80's. Thanks for the electronic emergency brake maintenance setting info! I was wondering about one thing though... I was always taught to take the cap off of the master cylinder before compressing the piston. Is that still a good practice?

    omg! dude! Please remove this vodeo. I hate to bash you, but those rotors should never have been put back on the car. In fact, in many(mayby most) states, they would not pass inspection as those pads are dangerous and inadequate. Thank God they are in the REAR, cause if they were in the FRONT I would not hesatate in predicting you in an accident! If you are watching this video or have watched it, PLEASE search for another video.

    I've never understood WHY not fill from the upper, the gear oil level plug? When the oil comes out, you know you're full? Why the procedure to fill from the bottom?? So the gear oil get into all the "nooks and crannies?"

    • @liangxu
      @liangxu 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unlike engine oil, gear lube is very thick. If it was filled from up, there would be some air bubbles trapped inside the gear chamber which might cause the chamber underfilled.

  • @mrunning10
    @mrunning10 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    @2:09 If the motor is level the the proper gear oil level is at the bottom of the fill hole.

    A good trick is to punch a hole in the bottom of the filter to let the oil drain out, makes less mess. The Mazda 6 that has a cartridge filter has a bolt on the plastic filter housing for this reason.

    Do NOT rotate the pistons on the EPB cars! Push the piston straight in and make sure the markers are lined u.p perfectly. Rotating the pistons can DAMAGE the EPB. I suggest you also lube up all the usual parts (not the braking surface/material obviously but other metal on metal part.

    • @imagineengine
      @imagineengine 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Quick ? So if your not supposed to rotate the piston back in on EPB cars then why do some of the caliper piston tools work by rotating? Like the ones with the interchangeable discs they sell. Not doubting your advice just curious. Also so does not rotating also apply to the 2019 Mazda 3 as well? Thanks for any advice you can offer as I'm getting ready to do this job on the wifes car.
