- I know some of you guys have been asking for a computational biology video, and only 5-6 months later it is finally here! Lol sorry about that. The interview type videos always take longer to make. It's my pleasure to welcome a very special guest today who knows much more about computational biology than I do. Special thanks to Yara who was amazing and I thought answered the q's super well. Hope you enjoy ;)

If Yara had a TH-cam channel about computer biology, I would subscribe immediately. She really is a cool scientist and a fun person, the perfect mix to an awesome channel. Amazing video! Greetings from Mexico!
This was really cool, thank you both for the information and laughs. Would make a great podcast duo :)
this was SOOO helpful! the questions were so well thought, Yara was literally perfect!
Thanks for making this video! You asked a lot of great questions and Yara gave a lot of great answers! This was incredibly helpful since I’m transitioning to this field.
I'm a computer engineer working in controls who can't stop reading biology texts and I've been looking for a way to change my career while still programming.
You could have just changed my whole life. Thank you so much for this insightful and entertaining video
I love computational biology - I watch the ibiology techniques on youtube. It's so fun to turn real world applications to programming - as you're teaching a computer reality, which allows me to learn better, by having myself explain and work with the info I'm on.
You two motivated me to go for a master in comp biology
1:30 min in and already loving it! - Appreciate the content!
haven't watched yet but....how do u always manage to upload videos that reflect my search history in the past week....
I’m psychic 😂
@@MeganAmber great minds think alike
What are the packages we need to start learning? I came across biopython but have never used it. In the video did you mention "zeta, node pyroxeta" as your referred computational biology modules?
Hey Megan, loved this video. Definitely subscribing. Wanted to ask for your opinion, so I’m coming from a complete biology/medicine background and I’d like to go for further studies in the field of computational biology or bioinformatics but I’m worried cause I have no coding and computer science background. Any advice?
How cool you both are. I’m going for msc bioinformatics
I'm doing not computational biology, but something really close. There's something called eyewire and I kind of turned it into an essay.
Nice sharing and keep it up
does computational biology has a good job demand and please tell me the average salary info
I took a bioinformatics class - maybe that's what got me into it?
The video is informative but continuous laughing is distracting
👀
2 minutes laughing intro. You can skip that part
Nothing useful in this video 😢
