    Interesting how you don't have a chair or a deodorant but you do have make up. It is just an evidence that even extreme minimalism is different for everyone.

    Interesting to hear you say "This is not to show off how little I have.." Meanwhile almost everyone shows off how much stuff they have. Your videos are one of the reasons why I have a pretty empty apt that surprisingly enough makes me happy. Thank you for the inspiration. 😁

      Thank you so much Xriz! I'm so happy to hear that you are enjoying the calmness of you empty space! 😊
      Haha yes, interesting it made me think. Indeed, usually we buy thing to impress others, but sometimes minimalism can be the other side of the coin. Trying to impress with how little we have. Fumio Sasaki calls it two sides of the same coin ;) So I find it important to be careful with these kinds of videos and what I put into the world. Don't want anyone to feel bad by some sort of competitive comparison. I want everyone to feel good with where they are or want to be.

    Love this! I have similar experiences with keeping plants alive. The one exception for me is, thankfully, aloe vera. It tolerates my forgetting to water it, is happy in varying amounts of sunlight, and I use the leaves for homemade moisturiser, face masks and hair shampoo. It's an absolute miracle plant.

    Hello from New York again, Anja. Since I wrote to you last time, I’ve done a lot. I will never be like you, without furniture, though I do love the idea of that. But for the last year, when I am reading or watching TH-cam, I’m laying on my carpet in the living room. It really is a full year of that and I’m not even sure why I started doing this.
    Last week I donated hundreds of books to a local library. I only kept about 30 books which are favorites, out of about 500. I also gave away all of my record albums, Cd’s and all my cassette tapes. I listen to music in my I pad mostly. So I didn’t need all of those things anymore. I also cleared out my kitchen cabinets. I have several empty shelves in the kitchen now. Also have empty shelves in my clothing closets, I gave away so much clothing and coats. I just didn’t need more than a few, for the different seasons. But I didn’t need mire than one or two for each season. You have done me a world of good. I feel lighter now! It is so freeing not to have stuff all around me.

    • @AnjasArtWorld
      @AnjasArtWorld  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good to hear from you again Adrienne! I'm so happy to hear about the changes you have made and how it has made you feel lighter to let go of items that were no longer serving you. Yes, you definitely have done so much! I'm amazed 😊 And it's so funny, I can relate to your story of lying on the carpet, I also always used to do that when I still had my couch and chairs. And I also don't know why, it just felt better! Funny to hear that you do the same thing. :) It makes me so happy to hear that you feel lighter now in your space and your home. That is so lovely 💛

    Great video. I find that a LOT of pet toys are a waste of money and resources. My cat would rather play with a long piece of grass or a paper bag than any plastic toy. This video is very inspiring, it leads me to rethink if some of the items I still have are worth keeping. Thanks for sharing again Anja

    • @AnjasArtWorld
      @AnjasArtWorld  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you so much, and I'm happy to hear it was inspiring! And yes, right? We buy toys for our pets more for our emotions because we want to make our pets happy. But they rarely ever seem to like anything that comes out of factories. It's almost never successful or something they like. Haha yes cats playing with a piece of grass! 😂 My mothers cat does that too, it's so adorable! 💕

    Versatility is a good thing to apply. Thinking of your chair/bed. So clever and I like the design. Yes, that is my goal as well, to have a little as possible. I do live with a non-minimalist, so we do have the usual furniture. However, in my room I have my open closet and an old drawer (from my parents). Will probably get rid of the drawer eventually when I'm done. Next year, I reckon, since I can't do very much after a surgery. Yes, I'm fine, just need to recover. I think your mindset is very healthy and I wish more people could adapt some of your pearls of wisdom. Thanks for sharing another inspiring video! We are all different and we have different needs. They also change during lifetime. And there's nothing wrong with that. We should also stop caring so much about other people's opinions. We all have our own journeys to make. I love my minimalist journey and you inspire me. So thanks!🧡🌼🧡🌼

    P.S. Unless you eat a tube a day, fluoride toothpaste will not ham you. I tried not using it and now I have only half the teeth in my mouth. It's your body, do what you will, but adult teeth do not grow back.

    • @AnjasArtWorld
      @AnjasArtWorld  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for letting me know, I appreciate all sides of the story, gives me a better picture. And I'm sorry to hear about your teeth. I agree teeth are so important and we need to be really careful with it. The thing is I've been using fluoride my whole entire life (3 times a day and it's in our water as well) and I struggle with extreme tooth decay since I had teeth. I always have a ton of cavities and my dentists bills are extremely high. So I would not say that fluoride helps or does much either, at least it doesn't do much for me. I'm a bit tired of drilling my teeth so often that's why I'm searing for alternatives. If it would have worked great, but it doesn't do much for me. (I don't eat sugar for more than 5 years now, so that's also not the problem). I think it has something to do with a certain bacteria living int the mouth and will try tea tree oil, oregano oil and things like that, hope that that can finally work.

    • @wilson8979
      @wilson8979 ปีที่แล้ว

      But did you use any type of homemade toothpastes? You can make them or buy them fluoride free

    • @mamakaka73
      @mamakaka73 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wilson8979 thing is.... some people actually need the fluoride. And you are not supposed to eat the paste. You spit it out. I have heard all that pseudoscience about it and it is all exagerated. You won't die from brushing your teeth with proper toothpaste and the illuminatti will not control your mind.
