Thank you so much for this very helpful video. I'm 45, turn vegetarian when I was 17 and vegan 10 years ago (for animals but also for the planet), and it's hard to get informations. I'm a "healthy" vegan, and by that I mean : I don't eat processed food, I cook every day, eat LOTS of - mostly organic - vegetables and fruits, and then plant proteins, lots of lentils, peas, nuts, seeds, not much carbs, no sugar besides the one coming from the fruits. Anyway, I know it's not the best for my skin but I won't change the way I eat so thank you for sharing your knowledge! Regards, from Paris, France!
I mainly eat meat, veggies, fish, and lots of fruits, also walk an hour a day, lift weights 3x a week, and get lots of sleep. I've recently taken your advice on the coolibar face masks since I walk outside so much. Such a game changer!! I no longer have to spend $ on lasers and just am very intense about my sun protection and consistent with skin care (cleanser, vitamin c, moisturizer, retinol). thanks doc!
My routine is identical minus the fruits (just don’t like the sweetness). Sleep, eating meats and religiously applying sunscreen made a huge difference in my skin. Additionally, quitting alcohol last year basically made my skin age backwards. Also, for whatever reason at 42 my body started craving bone broth and cartilage. I could never stand it until then. I’m turning into my parents. Next stop will be cracking the bones and sucking out the bone marrow 🫣😂

Couldn’t agreeee more!!! But after the UV exposure, Sugar is the biggest enemy of our skin and overall health. So unnecessary in our diet too. I’m living happy without it 😊
Thank you. Thing is I've seen studies that say you can get most nutrients except vitamin C through meats if you are eating grass fed, pasture raised meats, as the nutrients are in the diet of the animal and are more bioavailable than eating vegetables as many people can't break them down completely enough and absorb the nutrients. Vegetable should be cooked enough to be more easily digested and a good majority of people could use the assistance of a digestive supplement and Betaine HCL with pepsin. People who are without their gallbladders need those as well as ox bile to help them break down fats and proteins and absorb the nutrients properly.

What’s the best way to care for the skin on the entire body? Best sunscreen, lotion, if any, soap…the things we all use every day, year after year, decade after decade. I’m 71 😬 can’t exactly backpedal but can make smart purchases that’ll make me feel better about the products I use. I use collagen/protein supplements daily, eat right most of the time and exercise with the goal of getting stronger with resistant training. I’m not ready to give up on the fight against aging.
It's wonderful to hear that you're committed to taking care of your skin and overall health! As you continue on your skincare journey, here are some tips and recommendations to help you make smart choices: Cleansing: Opt for a gentle, hydrating body wash or soap that doesn't strip your skin of its natural oils. Look for products that are free from harsh chemicals and fragrances. Exfoliation: Regular exfoliation can help remove dead skin cells and promote a smoother texture. Consider using a gentle body scrub or exfoliating mitt a few times a week. Moisturizing: Apply a hydrating body lotion or cream daily to keep your skin moisturized and prevent dryness. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and ceramides. Sun Protection: Sunscreen isn't just for the face! Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to exposed areas of your body, especially when spending time outdoors. Reapply every two hours. Antioxidants: Consider using body products that contain antioxidants like vitamin C and E. These can help protect your skin from free radicals and environmental damage. Collagen Supplements: Continue with your collagen/protein supplements, as they can contribute to skin health. Make sure you're also getting a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and omega-3 fatty acids. Hydration: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out. Lifestyle Factors: You're already focusing on exercise and nutrition, which is fantastic. Adequate sleep, stress management, and staying active all play a role in skin health too. Consult a Professional: If you're considering more targeted treatments, like body-focused skincare products or procedures, it's a good idea to consult a dermatologist or skincare professional. They can provide personalized recommendations based on your specific needs and goals.
Important correction..veganism isn't a diet. Veganism is a lifestyle based on ethics and the belief that animals should not be harmed or exploited by humans. So you can be vegan and eat loads of vegan junk food (unhealthy) or you can be vegan and eat for health with a predominantly whole foods plant based diet. I have never looked or felt better since switching to the later 💚🌱
I know no vegans o vegetarians who do that for health purpose. People with that motivation stop it eventually like they stop any other diet from which they expect miraculous weight loss or other benefits.
Keto CAN be really good for skin if done correctly. Lemons and bell pepper for vitamin C, seafood nuts and organ meat for zinc and copper. And berries and dark vegetables for antioxidants. Eggs are also multivitamins. Regardless of what diet is followed the main thing is to get enough vegetables and phytonutrients.
you can use as many chemicals rf tightening as long as you do not eat well and live without stress your skin will not improve. so many people look older and use so many skin interventions. iy you are in a catabolic state e.g. with stress nothing can help.
You are sooooo right I tested this. I watched your video just to confirm this. I've been paying attention to my body. the things you've listed are the things I've experienced. You have to balance and know all these steps. ❤❤❤
I eat proteins, good fats, eggs, little carbs, try to stay gluten-free, don’t eat much fruit, take a few supplements, don’t go crazy with exercise, try to stay low stress, use sunscreen, use good skincare.
Balance of all components is the key. It is the quantities one need to pay attention to. And in my practice and experience worst looking people I have met are vegans. Skin wise.
Doctor , Zinc is found in seafood, copper is found in shellfish & nuts. Or we need fruits? I consume lemon/lime juice for vitamin c I follow High protein Keto :Meat & fish , lemon/lime . Dairy, avacado , oliveoil &ghee & some cooked greens.
I absolutely love your videos, and all of the knowledge that you share with us. I am so glad that I found you! I buy your trifecta products now, and for see being one of your patients soon. Thank you so much.
If you’re not a vegetarian or vegan, BONE BROTHS are an effective source of collagen. They’re really popular with Asians. Amongst other lifestyle practices to prevent aging, you can see that they generally do have younger-looking skin.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful talk Dr karam..❤it was so informative and educational..I learnt a lot from this video. Thank you so much again. ❤❤❤
When I was vegan I found I ate so much healthier.. no processed food, no junk food, way more vegetables, beans, nuts and avocado.. hardly any bread or pasta.. I felt great and my skin looked the best it ever has!! It’s strange realising that some vegans don’t have such a healthy diet. I found that most or all processed foods contained dairy and also contained sugar. I believe it was the no sugar plus the greater variety of whole, unprocessed foods that made me feel and look better than ever. I’ve been considering going vegan again, mostly because I hate animal cruelty, but struggle (maybe selfishly?) with wanting to make sure I’m incorporating all the nutrients I need for anti-aging..🫤
I’m been vegan almost 10 years, I’m 35 and people think I’m 23, I would say incorporating lots of healthy fats like walnuts and avocados really helps my skin looking plump!

My skin used to look amazing until 4 years ago when I had fillers which migrated and had some of it disolved with hyaluronidase. In a few months I noticed visible changes in my body- thinning and crepey skin on my whole body, muscle athrophy despite weight exercise almost every day, loss of volume in my hands, joint pain and others. I feel I got 20 years older in 4 years. I have a healthy diet, I never smoked, I don't drink, I use retin A on my body, yet nothing seems to help! What can I do to stop this substance from melting my body? ❤

Glad you enjoyed it!
Sounds like what’s good for general health is good for skin as well. Avoid extremes and eat a high protein diet!
you can use as many chemicals rf tightening as long as you do not eat well and live without stress your skin will not improve. so many people look older and use so many skin interventions. iy you are in a catabolic state e.g. with stress nothing can help.
You are sooooo right I tested this. I watched your video just to confirm this. I've been paying attention to my body. the things you've listed are the things I've experienced. You have to balance and know all these steps. ❤❤❤
Wow that is great. Thanks for sharing.
You are the best. Thanks for the helpful information 👍
You are the best Dr. ❤
I eat proteins, good fats, eggs, little carbs, try to stay gluten-free, don’t eat much fruit, take a few supplements, don’t go crazy with exercise, try to stay low stress, use sunscreen, use good skincare.
Definitely Mediterranean Food Change - I’ve been on it (& my family) all my life
Balance of all components is the key. It is the quantities one need to pay attention to. And in my practice and experience worst looking people I have met are vegans. Skin wise.
Trifecta is $5000/yr AU and that's not including sunscreen... just incase you didn't realise 👌
Doctor , Zinc is found in seafood, copper is found in shellfish & nuts. Or we need fruits? I consume lemon/lime juice for vitamin c
I follow High protein Keto :Meat & fish , lemon/lime . Dairy, avacado , oliveoil &ghee & some cooked greens.
This was excellent, very informative and easy to follow. Thank you Dr Karam.
I absolutely love your videos, and all of the knowledge that you share with us. I am so glad that I found you! I buy your trifecta products now, and for see being one of your patients soon. Thank you so much.
I am so glad you appreciate them! Thank you for watching.
Which collagen powder do you suggest? Video is very informative. Thanks for explaining everything.

Thank you for this amazing video🔥👌🏽
Very useful video explanation. Thank tou
Such a great educational well explained and entertaining video ❤ I love your channel!!!
Thank you for your value information!
My pleasure!
That's because a good diet is a balanced diet. Carnivore, vegan, vegetarian, .. are just details.
@@oceaneo4603 A carnivore diet is not a balanced diet.
I’m been vegan almost 10 years, I’m 35 and people think I’m 23, I would say incorporating lots of healthy fats like walnuts and avocados really helps my skin looking plump!
so motivated to do yoga & eat well, loved this explanation
I'm so glad you're posting this video! Can't wait to hear what you have to say 🥰
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@dramirkaram I did enjoy it! I love how your mind thinks. I'm in complete accord with everything you said 😊 And as always, you get the key points across in a factual, neutral way without stepping into the potential maelstrom of ideological one-upsmanship! 😝
Please please pleasee tell us what work you've gotten done. I don't see many men talking about what they've done plastic surgery wise and I'd love to know what one does to achieve such a perfect face

Your videos are do helpful!! Thank you !!❤
I'm so glad!
the best diet is mental: being positive/grateful. as far as food goes: fresh celery juice.
Lots of red and blue berries and red onions and advocados. Lots of water and fruit and veg.
Love your content! So straight forward just what we need!
😊
Qué interesante !!! Excelente vídeo!!! Gracias gracias Dr 👏👏
😊
Whole30 seems to be the best “diet” out there because it’s not a diet at all. It’s just going back to basics and eating the way humans ate before we learned how to process and add sugar to nearly everything. Also, cutting out dairy has changed my life when it comes to inflammation
Dairy is a huge issue but most people don’t want to acknowledge it, which I understand. Cheese is good.
But the baby cow videos moved me ❤️
Needed a recap with a list
Thank you Doctor. 😉
Doc, you're always the best!! Thank you so so much! I have a diary with all your suggestions. I'm quite young now, I'm 23, and I have a really good skin, a little bit dry but really smooth and without any imperfection. Maybe I'm genetically lucky because my mom who has 57y.o has no wrinkles. Anyways I'll follow all your tip and my mom and my grandma too, we're all your big fan. Unfortunately we don't live in U.S.A, or we should be your patients for sure! Thank you again. Simple , clear and straight to the point! Amazing!
Whole Food Plant Diet!🎉 Possibly organic! No processed foods, no alcohol, no smoking, no processed oils, no salt, pure water. 😊
Amazing content! Thanks so much.
Great informative video thank you Dr Karam. Are your topicals natural? What is your opinion on natural cosmetics? Will you be doing a video on natural cosmetics? Abundant blessings to you and your wife Dr Karam. We really appreciate your knowledge sharing.
Ok but WHY is no one talking about herbs and spices? Literally the most powerful anti aging and glycation stuff. My aunt has been eating all sorts of spices and herbs daily and applying it in her face with some olive oil all her life. She’s 50 now and she looks 25.
I love this video. I think that one of the graphics may have lysine spelled incorrectly??? I am very grateful to know all of this amazing information. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. Thank you for the info 👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it
since I started eating a plant based diet my skin and overall health improved A LOT
👏👏👏
My skin used to look amazing until 4 years ago when I had fillers which migrated and had some of it disolved with hyaluronidase. In a few months I noticed visible changes in my body- thinning and crepey skin on my whole body, muscle athrophy despite weight exercise almost every day, loss of volume in my hands, joint pain and others. I feel I got 20 years older in 4 years. I have a healthy diet, I never smoked, I don't drink, I use retin A on my body, yet nothing seems to help! What can I do to stop this substance from melting my body? ❤
Guys if you’re on vegan diet make sure you take taurin supplements. Because taurin is mostly in eggs meat fish. And taurin is very important component
Love this info Doc. ❤
I am so glad
There are also some plant based complete proteins with all amino acids:
Quinoa
Soy products
Buckwheat
Hemp
Chia seed
Spirulina
Amaranth
For anyone interested.
Great video❤thank you
You’re incorrect about only animal products having complete amino acids . Quinoa, soy and buckwheat contain all nine essential amino acids .
No sugar for sure😊
There are 2 more “S’s” to avoid, don’t forget about them! Top 3 causes of premature aging: Sugar, Smoking (cigarettes) and lastly Sunlight. 😊
Thanks Dr Karam for all your advices and videos, quite easy to understand even from a french like me😉hope to enable to see you as soon as I could. You are 'la Haute Couture' in your field

So Informative video!
I really liked the content and enjoyed listening while watching this awesome video✨😇
I couldn’t agree more.
I used to live in France for few years and I have noticed that the people there are aging very well - have a good skin, are healthy and attractive, their diet is based on animal products, they eat tones of butter, cheeses, meats and fish on daily basis
Just a little observation
It's not just France most people these days look younger than they are.
The French eat a LOT of fruit, jam, and veg too. Plenty of tea, coffee and wine….forgot that part.
*my sister lives there

I do believe that our diet show on our skin. As a non smoker, non alcohol drinker ,lactose, nut and gluten free vegetarian. I am a walking testament to I look what I eat. I'm 48 years old, always mistaken for mid 20s.

Can you please do a vid on different lasers suitable/safe for treatment of wrinkles on skin of color please!? Afro Latino, Afro American etc…Thank you. I went to my derm for light appearance of forehead winkles, she suggested a laser but I’m apprehensive and afraid of causing visible damage or long term skin trauma.
